  • I like to hack Max/MSP and love the Monome user input devices. (The grids especially.)
So over the last couple days I went down a side-channel to make a little glovebox Max patch using the monome...and here we are. :)

Cost: On one hand, yes, it cost a lot to buy all those things at some point in your life. But on the other hand, you used things you already had on hand, so the only cost for this project was your time.

We never got into this space to make music. We use music making as an excuse to buy and connect the silliest hardware and software solutions, no matter the cost. And are proud of it too.
Thank you for spending time with your loved ones (not your wife this time) and letting us hear the result. Now go watch some silly show together!

Two things I don't get at all, are those black-and-white things on pianos and square block grids things. You seem to understand the differences between the 69 absolutely identical blocks. I know not how. At least pianos have two colors.
You made lovely vibes come out of this setup.

256 identical blocks actually. :P It's actually pretty clear because the notes from left to right are scale degrees, not half steps...and everything is the same note vertically. I'll do a clarifying video one day. :) But I'm glad you liked it!

I played this. It is my favorite groovebox. It is a little pricey though. :-)
