I use Feather for newer Version bc of Sodium, Lithium and other fps mods, but for 1.8 im using Lunar

well tbh on feather u can literally add some mods i.e sodium or iris which help fps boost on shaders
but when i was using (sodium) this i notice it wasnt utilizing my gpu (RTX 2060) and i was confused since it was supposed to be better than optifine
but when i went on optifine i seen an magnificent fps boost of 200fps (my usual 300) as it was utilizing my gpu more.
But really there is no real smoothest client because Lunar client and sodium both use OPTIFINE AND SODIUM

Feather seems good on the low settings, but I think for shaders Lunar is better (My best unbiased opinion)

Tbh if ur an low end or an average pc user u should definetle not go feather lol I donwloaded it on my old PC and I got 20 fps💀 on lunar I got 90+ now I have a good pc 300+

for me lunar gives me better fps, badlion lite is more clean and has slightly lower fps, feather has lowest fps (barely above 100 fps)

Having a gpu that doesn’t go past 70% having 180fps doesn’t hurt and small FPS spikes aren’t noticeable at all
