But sometimes the immigration officers ask to show currency in cash i.e 10k or $250/ person.
Yea you're right Jaivek. Exchange rates are almost always better in Thailand but a good strategy is to take enough local currency for your first day or so, and change the rest (not at the airport) once you arrive.
