Wow!!! The way you trimmed and edged this deck really made the images and artwork pop and gave them a richness that I love! I just ordered the deck and will definitely be trimming and edging my copy. Excellent walkthrough Dawn!
I'm new to tarot and bought this as my first deck because of the guide book. I like the deck although it is difficult for me to shuffle as my hands are fairly small and it is indeed a bulky deck. The guide book is amazing and has really made me more comfortable with leaning into my intuition (something I've questioned in the past) in my readings. I love seeing the Oracles you've paired with it especially as I've been searching for oracle decks to buy.
I've had this deck for about a year or so and I really enjoy working with it, it's become one of my go-tos. And one of things I love about it is that it seems to make the esoteric feel more modern, or at least mixed with more modern scenes. I also think it translates very well with younger querents who find tarot somewhat intimidating. I'm really bad about reading guidebooks though, so you've now convinced me to go back and read through it.
The True Heart Deck happens to be one of my very favorite decks . I use it for many different types of readings including shadow work. Tarot decks are like people , some you resonate with and some you don't. I love the book as well. So to each his own. I have many decks and have been around readers for most of my life. ( I'm no spring chicken! )lol . Anyway I like your video's and thank you for your time.🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹🌺🌹👍
I did an initial walkthrough of this deck and was not wowed by it. A few months ago, I decided to work with it in depth for a period of time before I fully expected to part with it. Well, I ended up working solely with this deck and one sole oracle deck for a couple of months and grew to love it. Yes, the book is the star, but I actually grew to love the cards! I don’t have the Denise Linn deck you showed, but I have the others and I look forward to pairing those with this deck. Thank you!
Thanks as always for showing a modified deck! I can count on you for that and it's appreciated. ❤️ Can't wait to send mine through the guillotine as well. Loved the yellow edging too.
This year I am buying very few decks. I have committed to working more deeply with the ones that I have. I'm glad I made that choice because I am realizing how good some of the guidebooks I own actually are. Both Tarot and Oracles.
I so enjoyed this video. Thank you for the pairings - my Denise Linn oracle has been collecting dust and I'm excited to try using it with the True Heart.
I really enjoy your videos. They are very well done, both esthetically and informative. I also love how you describe a deck you don't like or care for. It is very respectfully done. I love how you give your personal opinion and bring out aspects of how other people may appreciate the deck. Thank you for your time and effort into making theses videos.
I was weird when I saw the 3 of Swords as holding on to pain or heart break so I found that interesting. Thank you for doing this video about this deck and book.
I've been tempted by this deck because of what I've heard about the guidebook. I do like it trimmed and pairing it next to the Soul Coaching cards made it feel like sunshine.
Thanks for an awesome video! Would be lovley to know more about how you use colours in readings! I get the idea of looking at how to colours the the cards together but how do you derive a meaning from that? Like for example, what would it mean for your interpretation of the cards that yellow seems to be a prominant colour in the spread? How would the yellow affect the message? If you ever made a video about this I would love to watch it, working with colours the way you do seems amazing and kind of hard but somthing I really want to learn!
Oh I do like the art and the body positions etc. matter a lot to me in readings so it is good to know that about the Courts. I think I might get this deck... I had thought it was a pip deck but I am pleasantly surprised... Thank you!
I love this deck. the guidebook is one of my favorites. I love hearing your thoughts on the deck. They did change the card stock. When I first purchased the deck, my copy was defective. I remember it being super thin and flimsy. I returned it because the edges were shedding. I later purchased it again and it’s a lot thicker and harder to shuffle. I actually preferred the flimsy version because it riffle shuffled better.
Hey, would you mind sharing info of the new version with changed card stock - how can I spot the correct one to purchase? I love this deck, but the flimsy cardstock drives me nuts (I am not a riffle shuffler :-) When I look at the deck in my local webstore it still has the publication date from 2020 and I would hate to end up with a second box of flimsy cards :-D Is the box still of the same type?
Generally when publishers go with just another print run (even when they change the cardstock) they don’t indicate it on box anywhere. If you’re buying it local you can ask when they ordered it and if it was fairly recently, that might mean it’s the newer version. I got mine through Amazon and it was the thicker cardstock. Latterly retailers are more apt to have the newer stuff because they sell out of their stock quicker. I hope that helps!
@@DawnMichelleTarot Thank you for your advice - I will try and check :-) And oops, did not even comment on your video, got so excited that they've done this deck in new card stock :-D So thank you for your videos, they are always so thoughtful and inspiring
Theresa Reed used this one week on IG, the Swords suit made me pick it up lol, definitely going to trim it so loved seeing how it looks 💜 I too am of Rachel True/ The Craft Era so totally get it! (Hadn't thought of pairing Roots & Wings, my current fav. I'm still new to using Oracles with Tarot 😋)

I watched your video on where you changed your mind on the deck. It was wonderful! I’ll be curious to see where I sit with it in time. 😀
I love that my phone accidentally clicked this! What a way to continue to start my morning. 💚💙🙏
How fun! I do hope you enjoy it. ❤️
@@DawnMichelleTarot I definitely did 🥰💛
I got this deck shortly after it came out and instantly fell in love. It is one of my go to faves forever!

I thought so too, there is something so bright and happy about that pairing.

Okay good to know that the cardstock was changed. Maybe they’ll eventually settle on something in between. 😀

Nice review! Like you, I would get this only for the guidebook. 😁👍

I would buy this deck only for that 6 of Swords! I love how it lift the figure out of the swords!
I think that’s a really cool card too! 😀
I got this deck about a month ago. The illustrations are fine, but super hard to shuffle.
Yeah the cardstock isn’t the best on that deck for sure. 😀
