Hi, I am breaking my head for a question. Could you please explain in your video. For taking bootstrap grid which measurement should be taken? 1110, 1120, 1140 or 1170? Is there any right or wrong. I am not a developer and a beginner designer. So, I have very little idea about this. I searched on google but those replies are really difficult to understand. Does this gridding system really matter a lot? What if I take a very different grid system will it be difficult for a developer to build the website?
Hey Real! For bootstrap at 1440px artboards, it's 12 columns, 1320px container with 24px gutters. But I wouldn't be too concerned about it being exact. Developers can easily override things like max-widths and gutters. What I've found important is to have a grid system (whichever grid system that is). It creates a shared language between the designer and developer. So if you need to size something, you can say "12 columns for mobile" rather than having to look up the exact pixel/percent width measurement (and worrying if it's right or what to do if it ever needs to change).
