this is awesome! I have a jeep compass and trying to figure out how to fit a 1 ton grip package with lighting and camera as well. Thanks for the video!
Lol. I've been struggling to load a half ton in my RAM 2500 hahaha. You win with your organization. Only thing I don't like... I can access separate gear. Looks like you have to completely unload. Sucks if it's pouring rain. I'm actually moving to a cargo trailer for that reason. But you don't get the hard rain that we get in the South. Thanks for the demo.
How is this "not even close" to a 1-ton package? Please elaborate. And sprinter packages are bigger than 1-ton packages so I don't see your point there?
Minus the lighting package, which I don't claim this includes, I'd say it's pretty close to what you'd find in a 1-ton GRIP package. A 1-ton Grip & Lighting package would include all this and an additional lighting package. Sprinter vans are advertised typically anywhere from 1.5-2.5 tons depending on how packed the vans are. Usually, owner/ops will add in extra items to sweeten the deal on their 1-ton package that's not usually standard. @@bensonq I was very impressed all you were able to fit in your vehicle. When I saw the vehicle I thought no way he gets a 1 ton package in there, but after finishing the video I'd say it's pretty close! I think most people think of a 1 ton as a grip and electric package. As you say though, yours is pretty much a one ton grip package. Looks good!
Nice kit
Hell yes. Local to LA my self, saving this video 👌🏻
This is an awesome overview. Helps me get a handle on grip stuff that I'm barely familiar with coming from the run-and-gun doc world.
same lol

Did you ever do it - I’m trying to do same in an explorer

Haha I definitely need a van at some point. But knowing how much I can fit in my personal vehicle is helpful for the smaller gigs for sure.
Great video
Nice kit mate , but damn you need a van of some sort!
4:34 what kind of bags are these? Are they film production specific?
These came with the rags I purchased from Canvas Grip. They're a heavy duty fabric but not sure of the specifications.
6:12 what kind of wagon is that?
GorillaCarts I believe from Home Depot
this looks great! Have you ever tried to stick a few 4 x 4's in the backseat?
4x4 frames unfortunately don't fit in my back seat. I've been meaning to pick up some 42x42" options as well for smaller vehicles.
Got a link to that flag bag? I need something like that.
got it from canvasgrip . com
Nice and tight big likes.
Which SIZE casters are those for your stands? 3/4, 1” or 1”-1/4? AWESOME 👏🏽 video by the way.
4in from American Grip!
bensonq THANKS for such a fast response.
Can you explain why many of those items are named the way they are?
Sure! I think that'd actually be a fun video to do haha
I heard “one ton” as “wonton” hehe
Haha never thought of that!
Clever but go to hell.
Bruh this isn’t even close to a one ton package. It’s not even close to a sprinter package

I'd say the only thing he's missing are the extras like ladders, brooms, tool kits etc...
