Hello Steven, Thank you for the amazing video on Keyword Research! Couple of questions: 1. You mention that we should take 10 competitors, add them to Cerebro and then look at the KWs they are ranking for. Do you recommend looking at aggregate data of these competitors or individual data? 2. What is your opinion on looking for keywords in the reviews of competitors? Going through the reviews to understand what are the terms that consumers are using repeatedly Thanks.
Glad the video helped. It is always worth look at competitor's KW's to look for individual and aggregate opportunities. There can be a ton of good info in competitor's reviews.
Great video as always, Steven!I have 2 questions as below related to backend keywords and would greatly appreciate your response, thanks!: (1) Is repeating the exact keywords I have in manual campaigns in backend keywords a good startegy or should I first run all of my 20 keywords I have in my manual campaigns through a tool like Helium10’s Frankenstein to remove duplicate and only put these unique words remaining in my backend search terms? For example, let’s say I have “red t-shirt for men”, red tee for women, red tshirt for adults as keywords in my exact match campaign then should I copy these exact keywords as it is in my backend keywords OR Should I remove the repetitive words and only put unique words in these phrases in my backend search terms like “red adults unisex tee t-shirt tshirt roundneck tees”? (2) Do you recommend repeating keywords multiple times in title, bullets, description and bullets to make the keyword relevant in the eyes of Amazon algorithm or it’s not worth repeating keywords?
1) search term field has some good best practices that I have here myamazonguy.com/seo-amazon-master-class-70-min-steven-pope-video/ download the guide. In short - don't repeat words in the field. But do include words from ppc in seo efforts. 2. Once in title, no more. Duplicate in bullets and A+ content in SEO phases 1, 3, and 4.
Hi Steven Super presented and prepared. In 27.16 minutes and Magnet you entered kw "Sage candles for cleasning house". Magnet showed n/a Search Volume. You were surprised because you saw before that KW tracker had kw more than 62,000 Search Volume. The reason you got a n/a in Magnet is that you made a typo. KW is called "Sage candles for cleansing house". You changed in "cleansing" the order of the letters s and n in Magnet. Otherwise, thanks for the great content. Best :-)
Thanks so much, despite being a newbie to AMAZON FBA, I found this really interesting and informative. It shows how much I have to learn but it just spurs me to learn more.
When harvesting keywords from a search terms report, filter based on relevance, performance metrics (impressions, clicks, CTR, conversion rate), search volume, competitiveness, and conversion potential.
How's Amazon algorithm take singular and plurals of same keyword? Should we have used those singular and plurals separately in both listing optimization and PPC?
Very informative video Steven! Thanks a lot. I just have one question please. If my 6 A+ content modules are all images, does optimizing the product listing description section still counts for SEO? Did you ever tested that? So if we added a keyword in the product description section, will it still get indexed if the default product description is no more showing to the customer but only in the backend for Amazon? Thanks!
As always, plenty of valuable information. You didn't mention that but do you also use the same keywords that you found during the research in the PPC?
Helloo, What might be the possible reason for Amazon to disapprove a seller to sell on their platform? Particularly after he has optimised his listings with videos.
Hello Steven, thanks for this informative video. But, can you please make a keyword research video for people who don't use Helium 10 or any other third party tools? As we are starting out it is bit expensive for me to purchase it. Thanks again!
Steve can you please do a video on deciphering how to read that search Query report. Those data numbers are very vague and don’t make sense. Btw, if you would of multiplied by 30 it’s the correct search per month.
Thank you very much for the education.while researching a product, is there a tool that can tell how much the competition is bidding on PPC as not to get into the wrong product if the budget is not there ?

Hi Steve, I have a question, if I am in the 3rd organic position for a keyword that I have in my listing with exact match and it is generating sales and I remove it from my listing looking to position for another keyword in which it was not indexed, would I lose over the course of the days the positioning of this keyword that I have in the 3rd position and I have removed it from my listing?
@@MyAmazonGuy OK, thank you very much for answering Steve 😁!!!, it is now clear that I have to replace it with a keyword that is not so relevant and is not giving me sales.
I have a listing related query. The product description that we provide with the listing is not visible when we add A+ content. But does Amazon still search it for keywords? Or does it only search A+ content?
@@MyAmazonGuyThank you for replying. Di you think it we provided description first and after a few days added A+ content, there is a chance of description keywords getting indexed?
Amazon keyword search is awful and that's putting it mildly. 90% of the search results have absolutely NOTHING to do with the product that you're searching for. If this is done on purpose to make people look at other products....well it backfired with me big time. I try NOT to buy from Amazon that has closed down so many family businesses. However, there are times that price and delivery time counts. However, I try to use Amazon ONLY for emergencies or crazy price differences.
@@MyAmazonGuy Thank you for clarifying that. I don't boycott any American businesses and actually there are towns in the US that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Amazon to provide employment through their distribution centers. I';m old school, I buy where I trust and can't stand the idea of losing a neighborhood shop. Getting back to the original argument, it makes me wonder, why other sites like Ebay's search is so much better, accurate with many options to fine tune the search. I find it hard to believe that a company worth over 2 trillion dollars can't come up with a search engine for their site worth a damn. Bay and others did this over 20 years ago. This makes me believe that there is another reason why their product search engine is so horrible.
Thank you Steven. You're the king of Amazon SEO
