Metal Slug is simultaneously awesome and "what the fuck?"
You left out the statuary from the jungles of Burma :p Yeah weird mashup.
And the whole "mutant insects/plants" thing, don't forget that part
and the underground fckery full of acid spitting worms, snails, and flies + oversize crabs
+fighting Germans/Canadians
I like how this level can't seem to make up it's mind if it's a desert, an egyptian pyramid, a derelict factory, a man-eating-plant-infested ruin ,a forgotten japanese holdout base or a setting from starship troopers
That's the magic of Metal Slug!
Lets not forget about the south asian kind of boss
You forgot about the insane creepy monster sludge filled hive and the Sol Dae Rokker, the Japanese I don't know what the fuck that thing is on top of a tower where none of the places before can reach this type of tower.

Yo jugando en nivel 5 no la veo llegar con la lluvia de granadas y misiles desde que aparecen los helicópteros y cuando ya tengo que juntar las celdas para abrir la compuerta, las plantas carnívoras caen de arriba, y por abajo llegan desde ambos extremos de la pantalla, sin contar ese polen que flota. Aquí estuvo más fácil. De por sí, en los juegos de SNK el nivel 8 siempre ataca menos que los niveles 6 o 7.

De por sí, en los juegos de SNK el nivel 8 siempre ataca menos que los niveles 6 o 7. Desde el desierto la tuvo más fácil, casi no le aparecieron aviones bombarderos y casi no le lanzaron misiles.

Yo tengo el Metal Slug anthology y los Fatal Fury Battle Archives y los he jugado variando la dificultad desde el nivel estándar (4) hasta el máximo y los niveles donde la computadora es más agresiva son 6 y 7. Si escoges nivel 8, se comporta más defensiva pero el handicap siempre es el mismo.

Alguien me dice que son esas esporas y como demonios las plantas carnivoras y las mangostas estan en esa pirámide en que lugar esta del los países según el boss no es un artefacto alíen es de una antigua civilización
Por el tipo de pirámide, puede ser egipcios, y la cabeza antes de entrar es como la de Camboya, pero ya por dentro, los monolitos y jeroglíficos que se ven al fondo, deben ser de alguna cultura antigua Mesoamericana: son civilizaciones híbridas.
Esta misión se desarrolla en México, Sol Dae Rokker está inspirando en la piedra del Sol de las culturas mesoamericanas, y el ejército rebelde hizo experimentos fallidos con la radiación del nivel 1 del mismo juego, y la maldición de las momias la lograron replicar con éxito y traerla al laboratorio rebelde en México.

Sol Dae Rokker (the Boss of Mission 4) attacks by charging the jewel with either red or yellow energy. The yellow beams randomly spread while the red beams fire in fast bursts that aim towards the player.
It can also charge a purple "Curse Beam" from its mouth that can turn the player into coins (which can be collected afterwards for points). The beam travels from one pillar of the tower to near the other side's pillar.
Additionally, it can generate deadly, wolf-shaped spirits that fly around for a while before dive bombing onto the player. Only the impact kills the player not the resulting explosion.
