After carefully choosing a photo, we make an arrangement out of floral stamps in black, and then add color with a pencil brush on a separate layer underneath, keeping an eye on how the whole image is taking shape and contrasting with the dark background. You can use this technique to create portraits for clients, friends and family on a dark or a light background.

It's under gear icon -> gesture controls -> layer select -> touch and hold toggle on, and set the delay you'd like (mine is at 0.40s). Thanks for asking, I will pin this in case anyone else needs to know!

Why do my stamps look blurry and not crisp and detailed like yours..sorry, I just started using app
It might be that your canvas size is not big enough or has a low DPI (pixel density) setting. You can make a new canvas using the + icon in gallery view and then the box with the + icon in the top right of that menu to make a new canvas, and set the DPI to 300.

Hi Alaina, you mentioned that you can do photos of friends and family using this method. What I wondered, what do you do if the photo is a normal one with a background. What special steps are required to take a normal photo and do this?
I think you could still do it depending on the background, or there are some techniques you could do by using the selection tool around the person and then either cutting them out and putting them on a different background (difficult is there is a lot of flyaway hair), or just blurring the background so that it's less distracting.

Love, love, love these stamps! Bought immediately! What does “flatten do”? The stamps I bought are turned some, sideways or upside down. How can I fix them easily?
Hi Sandy, I've just replied your email, but for anyone else wondering, the stamps area meant to turn with the tilt of your apple pencil, so that they come out parallel with the pencil. Flatten put the color layer into the same layer as the stamp, so that I could erase it easily to show the hair, and make it look like the hair was on top.

Thanks for your purchase! The oil brushes are part of my Painterly brush set, which is different from the Alcohol Ink set yes, and they are not in any of the same bundles.
