I think you should throw in a Timelapse every now and then but I like the jump cuts as well.
On our farm we normally call the farms by the last name of the previous owner or whoever owns the farm. We also have a few that are based off of directions like South pivot and east pivot on that same farm we also have a field called big pivot. I think you should name field 29 hill crest and 28 maybe lower hill crest or back hill crest.
Came here to say this almost exact same thing about field names. When my Dad farmed, it was always the previous owner name or it would be named from a landmark (usually relative/neighbor house/farm). When I would help him he would say “I’m over at Jerry’s or the Kreiling place” and I knew what field he was in based off that. Hope that helps.
Ooo great suggestions! I like those a lot. The guy I work for also names his fields based on who it’s was bought/rented from. Seems like a pretty common way to do it.

I forgot to throw my opinion in on the field names. The one by the rail road could be the lower depot field. The big field could be the tree house field or the creek field. My dad always named our fields after the guy he bought them from. We had Ralph’s, and Priors, and Weston’s. So maybe you could dig back through the paper work from the FSA office and find out who owned them before you!. And lastly I think a time lapse here and there isn’t bad but Iv liked the jump cut updates myself

Quick thought for you sim, what if you said that you painted the brown cold storage white to match that awesome white shop barn. You could just replace the brown shed with the white one that comes with the map to make them match a little better. Just a thought another awesome video 👍👌

Im interested in your responses about the time lapse vs just editing shorter. I have been doing time lapses on my field work, but i have been second-guessing it.
My advice is just do what you enjoy! It’s much easier to make content when you enjoy what you are making

Personally I tend to skip through a timelapse as I mainly listen to FS content while playing ect.... As they say, don't try fix what ain't broke!!
I find some of the undulations surprising which you don't really appreciate until you actually farm that piece of land!

Honestly im not a huge fan of time-lapse but i wouldn't mine having the field work time-lapse and just have slightly longer episodes

I would name it after peoples name like you lease it from a person or you purchased from a family or person for example the smith place or Betty Lou’s
