The guy has been released a long time ago he is with his family members now. Edit: last time I heard from him was that he was released for a COVID 19 inside prison so they had no choice but to release criminals out in the street. He was one of them. I hope this helps

I'm very upset that the Supreme Court has refused to revisit this case against Derek Chauvin and the other officers. The message is rioting , burning and violence are effective at getting what you want from government officials. Our Justice system has let these officers be sacrificed to prevent rioting.

George Floyd should have been in prison. He committed all these crimes and they always let him go. These cops should get another trial. There needs to be different people in charge in Minneapolis. What's crazy is... as a Conservative from suburban Hennepin County, Minnesota... I had "heard" and known of ALL of this "unheard" information within a month of the incident. I did not know the chief of police blatantly purgored himself on the stand in court, but I thought it was common knowledge that police were trained to place the knee on the neck or upper mid back of a suspect PRECISELY due to the amount of control gained and LOW possibility of harmful bodily injury or health effect. If you've ever wrestled like at all... you've likely been in or close to a very similar position... it can be greatly painful at times and you can feel helpless, but it doesn't really restrict your breathing or blood flow to any detrimental effect. I knew while watching the whole trial play out that thr cop was being politically sacrificed for following his training methods. Disgraceful doesn't even come close to doing it justice... it requires decades to recover from the loss of integrity this has caused on society in this area of Minnesota specifically, but also nationally.

It must be so surreal for that officer who arrested Floyd only a year prior. Same situation, same circumstances..Chauvin just happened to be the officer unlucky enough where Floyd died from an OD. I wonder if that first officer thinks that could have been him and he’d be sitting in prison just for doing his job.
Try paying attention. His knee was on his shoulder area and if you research all the evidence you will find out that Floyd 1) had 2 chronic heart conditions 2) 75% blocked artery 3) fentanyl and other drugs in his system that were high enough to cause an OD. Chauvin only is in prison because the system is broken and society is too irrational, judgemental and stupid to pay attention to fact, thus the courts found him guilty because the judges were being threatened and they didn't want more rioting in the country. All Law Enforcement and Corrections use this form of restaining technique to control. So, until you become one of the two and work in the field and understand how it all works. Yes, Chauvin should have never went to prison to begin with. He is BLM's and the judical systems scape goat. The only thing Chauvin did wrong was he could have sat him up and that would have kept him out of prison, but Floyd had been uncooperative for hours.

George Floyd should have complied. If he had complied, perhaps he would still be alive. Not sure, though since there was history b/w Floyd and Chauvin. But Derek Chauvin was also wrong for keeping his knee on Floyd's neck after Floyd was no longer a threat. The EMT's were wrong for delaying to provide aid to Floyd when it was clear that he was in distress. Derek Chauvin deserves to be incarcerated, and so do the other officers who stood by and did nothing. Well, one officer did something: he held Floyd's legs while Chauvin had his knee on his neck. No one was innocent, i.e. blameless, in this tragedy.

Officer Chauvin was convicted because he had his knee on Floyd’s neck for 9 minutes after Floyd had been placed in handcuffs and was no longer resisting.

Long before the trial, I saw a long video of the whole arrest on UA-cam. He resisted getting in the cop car, but after a struggle, they finally worked him in, and that was when he first began saying “I can’t breathe”. That was why they decided to treat it as a medical condition, let him out of the car and lay him on the ground for the 9 min as they waited for the EMT to arrive.

He was in the police car screaming that he could not breath. When the street side door of the police car was opened he came out screaming that he could not breath. It is that point when they put him on the ground on the street side of the car. Eventually, Chauvin placed his lower leg over Floyd's should and the back of his neck(the same lower leg). At that point Floyd was still yelling that he could not breath, which is not possible if he actually could not breath. Your voice requires your breathing in order to be heard. A breathless person makes no audible sounds. There is a section of this video that shows exactly where Chauvin's knee and leg were. And it was NOT across the neck, perpendicular to the neck, like the Media deliberately leads you to believe. I saw all of this video before it was a huge story!

A second autopsy, which NEVER HAPPENS in a normal case, was done. This second autopsy was totally fraudulent and was used to convict Darrin Chauvin.
I am so happy this exculpatory evidence has been brought forward. I could only make my professional opinions when this case came out. The FIRST autopsy revealed NO asphyxiation. However, the social narratives have already compromised, contaminated and convicted the officers. This was a POLITICAL STUNT!!! Liz is no hero. Liz's approach to this documentary lacks balance. She details the numerous run-ins with the law that George Floyd had over the years but never once mentions the numerous incidents where Chauvin used excessive force while on duty. Nor does Collin talk about Chauvin's guilty plea for tens of thousands of dollars in tax evasion going back to 2014, which is stunning considering how Chauvin was pushing his weight around the day Floyd died over passing a bogus $20 bill, all the while being guilty of a much more serious crime himself. Police officers have a difficult and oftentimes thankless job but they also have some bad officers among their ranks which is likely what led to the explosive riot. The people of the community had had enough and they revolted. It should also be mentioned that the riots began when a white supremacist set fire to the AutoZone building which was located at the heart of the riots. This is hardly good journalism if that's what this documentary is intended to be. Propaganda would be a more appropriate descriptor.
If you watch the documentary, an hour and 3 minutes in, kt shows the manual on the screen. It states that after you put the subject in a restraint, you place the subject in a “side recovery position”….. so the subject can breathe and not die. You can read that right on the screen. Then it says you monitor the subject (keep them alive in the side position) until EMS arrives
The truth: repeat criminal offender got high, robbed a convenient store using fraudulent currency, acted crazy, resisted arrest and died from a heart attack due to drugs, COVID and health history.

Ok, so the maximum restraint technique is taught by police departments, not surprised. In this case, the officer applied the MRT for 8 minutes and 46 seconds on a man who was handcuffed, and lying on the ground. At what point do we hold the officer accountable for their judgment, or lack there of? I support BLM and the police that exercise good policing. The two are not mutually exclusive. The key phrase, “good policing”…… The officer was asked repeatedly, including by a nurse who was present, to lift his knee off of Floyd’s neck and he refused, even after applying the MRT for two solid minutes… He would continue to apply the MRT for an additional six minutes and 46 seconds… That’s manslaughter. Any fentanyl ingestion or attending heart ailment, had not taken Floyd out, to this point. It’s apparent that many making comments on this thread don’t believe black lives matter….. If the arresting officer were African American and Floyd was a German American would the comments on this thread be the same? Probably not.

You guys are funny. The reality is; former officer Chauvin should have placed Floyd in the back of the patrol car handcuffed ready to be processed. He did not. The reason why you do this as on officer: to ensure public safety, your safety, and the suspects safety last not perse least. He failed in doing so. This is the reason why he was jailed. You are not securing his case you are promoting it. A officer of the law does not know a medical history of a suspect. He just knows he has to be apprehended. Appreheding does not mean putting your knee on someones neck until they are dead! This is the reason why he is in jail! What's crazy is... as a Conservative from suburban Hennepin County, Minnesota... I had "heard" and known of ALL of this "unheard" information within a month of the incident. I did not know the chief of police blatantly purgored himself on the stand in court, but I thought it was common knowledge that police were trained to place the knee on the neck or upper mid back of a suspect PRECISELY due to the amount of control gained and LOW possibility of harmful bodily injury or health effect. If you've ever wrestled like at all... you've likely been in or close to a very similar position... it can be greatly painful at times and you can feel helpless, but it doesn't really restrict your breathing or blood flow to any detrimental effect. I knew while watching the whole trial play out that thr cop was being politically sacrificed for following his training methods. Disgraceful doesn't even come close to doing it justice... it requires decades to recover from the loss of integrity this has caused on society in this area of Minnesota specifically, but also nationally.

His knee was on his shoulder area and if you research all the evidence you will find out that Floyd 1) had 2 chronic heart conditions 2) 75% blocked artery 3) fentanyl and other drugs in his system that were high enough to cause an OD. Chauvin only is in prison because the system is broken and society is too irrational, judgemental and stupid to pay attention to fact, thus the courts found him guilty because the judges were being threatened and they didn't want more rioting in the country. All Law Enforcement and Corrections use this form of restaining technique to control. So, until you become one of the two and work in the field and understand how it all works. Yes, Chauvin should have never went to prison to begin with. He is BLM's and the judical systems scape goat. The only thing Chauvin did wrong was he could have sat him up and that would have kept him out of prison, but Floyd had been uncooperative for hours.

The EMT's were wrong for delaying to provide aid to Floyd when it was clear that he was in distress. Derek Chauvin deserves to be incarcerated, and so do the other officers who stood by and did nothing. Well, one officer did something: he held Floyd's legs while Chauvin had his knee on his neck. No one was innocent, i.e. blameless, in this tragedy.

I heard about this at least two years ago on a radio talk show.. Nothing new to me, but just as despicable!
It was 1 hour 42 minutes and I was glued because it’s the truth finally simmering to the top. Living in the Twin Cities, our politics have been highjacked by outsiders. You leave Hennepin / Ramey counties and the state is mostly conservative - deep red in farm country. Liz Collins has been so brave in reporting this amongst the Ellison’s / Walz’s / Frey’s and the attorneys with deep pocketbooks up here. Now, there’s a great reporter. There are four innocent policemen serving sentences that are bogus. No wonder NO one wants to be a policeman in Minneapolis - down 300+ since the leadership abandoned the blue.

Long before the trial, I saw a long video of the whole arrest on UA-cam. He resisted getting in the cop car, but after a struggle, they finally worked him in, and that was when he first began saying “I can’t breathe”. That was why they decided to treat it as a medical condition, let him out of the car and lay him on the ground for the 9 min as they waited for the EMT to arrive.

He was in the police car screaming that he could not breath. When the street side door of the police car was opened he came out screaming that he could not breath. It is that point when they put him on the ground on the street side of the car. Eventually, Chauvin placed his lower leg over Floyd's should and the back of his neck(the same lower leg). At that point Floyd was still yelling that he could not breath, which is not possible if he actually could not breath. Your voice requires your breathing in order to be heard. A breathless person makes no audible sounds. There is a section of this video that shows exactly where Chauvin's knee and leg were. And it was NOT across the neck, perpendicular to the neck, like the Media deliberately leads you to believe. I saw all of this video before it was a huge story!

A second autopsy, which NEVER HAPPENS in a normal case, was done. This second autopsy was totally fraudulent and was used to convict Darrin Chauvin.

Liz is no hero. Liz's approach to this documentary lacks balance. She details the numerous run-ins with the law that George Floyd had over the years but never once mentions the numerous incidents where Chauvin used excessive force while on duty. Nor does Collin talk about Chauvin's guilty plea for tens of thousands of dollars in tax evasion going back to 2014, which is stunning considering how Chauvin was pushing his weight around the day Floyd died over passing a bogus $20 bill, all the while being guilty of a much more serious crime himself. Police officers have a difficult and oftentimes thankless job but they also have some bad officers among their ranks which is likely what led to the explosive riot. The people of the community had had enough and they revolted. It should also be mentioned that the riots began when a white supremacist set fire to the AutoZone building which was located at the heart of the riots. This is hardly good journalism if that's what this documentary is intended to be. Propaganda would be a more appropriate descriptor.
If you watch the documentary, an hour and 3 minutes in, kt shows the manual on the screen. It states that after you put the subject in a restraint, you place the subject in a “side recovery position”….. so the subject can breathe and not die. You can read that right on the screen. Then it says you monitor the subject (keep them alive in the side position) until EMS arrives

Ok, so the maximum restraint technique is taught by police departments, not surprised. In this case, the officer applied the MRT for 8 minutes and 46 seconds on a man who was handcuffed, and lying on the ground.
At what point do we hold the officer accountable for their judgment, or lack there of?

You guys are funny. The reality is; former officer Chauvin should have placed Floyd in the back of the patrol car handcuffed ready to be processed. He did not. The reason why you do this as on officer: to ensure public safety, your safety, and the suspects safety last not perse least. He failed in doing so. This is the reason why he was jailed. You are not securing his case you are promoting it. A officer of the law does not know a medical history of a suspect. He just knows he has to be apprehended. Appreheding does not mean putting your knee on someones neck until they are dead! This is the reason why he is in jail! Regardless; of what health Floyd was in law enforcement has responsibilities to ensure he lives to stand trial, or court for his actions.
So many of us knew from the start all of that was lies, & nothing but corruption. I prayed for those officers, not bc I thought they were perfect, but bc it was so obvious they were used, & never had a chance at a fair trial. I pray one day soon they are freed.
