We are all crying. Being a single parent isn’t easy, I’m not saying I’m one I’m still young but I’ve lived under a similar roof and I can understand.
I relate to this video, like my mam divorced by dad when I was around 2, I see my dad a lot but we aren’t close. It often goes to a silence when we’re alone. Like a kna he isn’t gonna be around much longer so I’ve tried to reach out, but he does w lot of things I don’t agree with. When I was young I didn’t understand my dad, he’d not spend time with me, he never knew what to do.
And my mam did her best raising me, she made me into an incredible human, but she’s also left me anxiety and other things.
I wasn’t even crying until I typed this. I just had a bad day and it’s easy to let a stranger know some random shit than burdening a friend

@@whyamigae9666 you typed this to another one, but I, as a stranger, read this and hoped whatever had come across your way in this life would make sense for the best at some point. it is true that we sometimes don’t want to burden others; but even if they cannot give you what you need at the time and it may feel like a mutual burden when you open up, still everybody’s got something to offer in their own way. and it can be really helpful to go for it as long it brings you no harm. of course, you may choose to keep things to yourself as well. it is absolutely not the worst option if you do know why for the moment.

For those who have never watched this variety show, My Little Old Boy... Fyi... This show is where the moms of celebrities get to watch their son, who is currently single, live their lives. Lee Taesung's mom is a new installment to the show and with her son, being a single dad, it seemed like a refreshing idea to have them on the show. In the beginning, I learnt that Lee Taesung's mom worked hard to educate and bring up her grandson. Also, the programme showed a lot of Lee Taesung and his son's interaction which was at first very exciting to watch because of their little age gap. His son did not seem to express any deep feelings/concerns and get along well with Lee Taesung like any normal kids would. For anyone who had been watching them from the start, this scene generated a sudden outburst of tears in everyone. A handwritten letter which his son wrote lightheartedly unexpectedly made Lee Taesung cry. They seemed like a normal family but deep inside, there are hidden scars. In the scene after this, Lee Taesung confessed to his friend about his hardship after his divorce which happened during his army days. Being a soldier, he had no money to take care of his son. He could not get a bank loan so he even went to loansharks to get money. Knowing this, I'm starting to respect him as a single father and although I am not a fan, I will greatly support him from now on.
The way he told all those things to his friend made me respect him more too. He even said that he shouldn't comparing his issues with anyone else because everyone has their own hardships. No bitching, no blaming anyone, no going to the tabloids to get sympathy, just putting his head down to tackle the problem.

Children of single parents tend to be more mature than their peers because they have to protect themselves and their parent. That image of a kid becoming a delinquent because they only have their mom/dad is what TV focuses on, but they're not the norm.

He truly is an amazing father. His grandparents did amazing raising his son. They're honestly such the sweetest things ever. And that letter literally got me crying and watching both of them cry. And on top of him being my favorite actor. And my little old boy being one of my favorite shows to watch and seeing him bond with his son. Like this and cry together is really heart touching. It truly shows how much of a great father he is and how much they both truly love being with each other

Lee Tae-sung went through a divorce with his wife who is 7 years older than him. They met through a friend in 2009 and reported marriage in 2012 April but they didn't have a wedding due to his duty to the country. With discharge coming up in July, Lee Tae-sung is getting a divorce without getting a taste of his honeymoon.
Lee Tae-sung's sources say, "He's gotten a divorce recently because of circumstantial and characteristic issues. The divorce was mutual".
Lee Tae-sung has custody of their son. In 2012, right before they got married, they found out about the pregnancy and claimed they won't have the wedding till after. His grandmother was at the hospital for old age and his grandfather passed away, too. Apparently, the grownups said it wasn't right to have a wedding when there was a death in the family so the wedding was pushed even further.
Lee Tae-sung is taking responsibility as a father and he is going to do his best to make an affective comeback after he's been discharged.

As a daughter who lives with father after my parents divorced; i would say that.. we as a child really sad when knowing the fact that we didn’t have parents live together. I was sad back then bcos only my dad would come to my school while my friends keep asking me where is my mom. And I feel intimidated bcos my family is not like other my friends. I can’t celebrate parents anniversary like other people. Even in pictures, I don’t have both parents together. It takes time for me to accept and understand what had happened between my parents. Now, I grew up being 20s lady and trying to be open-minded about life. Little that I know, my dad already grew up me really well despite all challenges. He is the best. Saranghae appa❤️

When it comes the holiday season, especially Hari Raya, I have to choose which house to go back to. It was very hard. I had much Munasabah diri when I think about my family.. old family.. ☺❤

What a great dad and son relationship❤️❤️❤️ I grew up in a toxic and abusive home with both parents. Doesn’t mean it’s better or the best for the child period. What matters is that they love, support and accepts their child. I never had a relationship with my dad growing up even though he was there... my mom was my role model.
I always watch Lee Taesung's episode. Lee taesung parents and family are having a great Job raising the kids. His parents and his siblings created good conditions for him.
Now i understand why divorcee in korea choose the father for raising the kids. Seems kids who live with their single father are less discriminated than who live with their single mother.

Children with separated or single parents mature quicker because they see their beloved parents in tough situations. It also helps them learn empathy. My older sister was a single mother for a long time and her eldest daughter is the most considerate person who takes care of her younger siblings well. She grew up seeing her mom struggle to take care of her 2 children. She had to understand grown up topics as to why her mother was alone and why she had her at a young age. There’s no doubt that she admires her mom and calls her, her hero. I think a lot of us forget that children see everything in the rawest form and do not over analyze the way people feel.

I can understand all this emotion so much, I've been being raised by a single father since I was 3 years old. I'm now 14 & it's been 11 years without my mom in my life & honesty I don't have love for mom but I miss her everyday (she's not dead but she hasn't been here for me since I was 3). My dad has done everything for me & he's the most selfless person I know. I love him more than anything & anyone. This made me cry because single dad's aren't appreciated like they should be & dad's are capable of everything that mom's do. It's hard being a girl without a mom but my dad does everything for me & is always thinking of me and putting me before himself. My dad is the best man I know & I still have alot of hurt because of my mom & her decisions that led her to lose custody of me. I've always felt like she chose drugs/alcohol over me & it hurts. It really does hurt but I like being raised by a single parent at the same time because my relationship with my dad is stronger than those of kids being raised by 2 parents. So I understand what this little boy is going through & it made me so happy seeing a video like this..... ❤😔🥺😭☺💕
