I never actually seen those teen beach flicks from the 60's but I like Teen Beach Movie. It was very sweet for Frankie Avalon to offer his blessing to the cast. Surf Crazy is such an awesome song!
I have been taking dance for about ten years now and I don't think anyone really apreciates how GOOD that dance was and how HARD it actually is. Like in the beginning when they did double pirouettes, those are not easy. Someday I want to be a backup dancer like that :)

OMG, it's the Big Kahuna himself! The cast is so lucky to meet not only a teen idol but the star of the teen beach movies of the 1960's, Mr. Frankie Avalon, if only Annette Funicello were still alive, I am so happy that they are dedicating the movie to her!
That's not the same Kiki from the movie. Apparently she's not gonna be in the sequel either. I hope I'm not the only one who noticed. I love this performance by the way.
I get that there are people who can sing and dance at the same time but just because they lip sync doesn't mean they can't sing. They make the actors lip sync in the movie so they can get the best sound quality and not spend so much money on buying mics
yeah, Disney always takes an original piece and makes it more "child friendly. There's death in WestSideStory. " 90s kids are the best though :D because we're modern and we know all the classics.

In this clip they were lip singing at GMA they were actually performing the vocals live and dancing. The dancing in this was loads of fun though.
