Got in on the first run, but i haven't started the build. Adding your video into my VRD watch list. Took the summer off from fun and hobbies to catch up on life, it was nice to have a Vanquish kit to welcome me back. Thanks for the video and good to see you still going strong, I have lots of YT video to catch up on as well. ✌
That is coming next I’ll go over initial thoughts and then my next steps plans, video of all 3 just driving is loading now, then I’ll do and pro/con of each and then do a true course and put them thru.
In your opinion what is better f10 straight or portals? Has any portal rig took the podium at a nation event? Would this build be better with straight axels?
I like and drive both, the f10 portal is my preferred choice. It suits my driving and my area far better personally. And yea there have been some portal rigs taking spots.
I see you mentioned about the behind the axle mount not really making a difference to you. Has that opinion changed yet or do you still feel this way? I don't really wanna run a snub nose outrunner but if the performance of the behind the axle is noticeable, I would consider changing my mind and do all the necessary things for the performance.
I never had an issue with the two packs I ran thru mine and I run at the same place as Tim. I will be switching to just Velcro in the future however but that’s just my preference.

Nice video Tim, looking forward to seeing more.
Thanks man I appreciate it. This thing is a blast.
Vanquish has the behind axle servo mount as well as stubby trans conversion coming. Shortens trans by one inch
👍👍👍
I thought I heard that somewhere so I’ll definitely be on the look out for
When u figure out the stubby transmission conversion could u post up a parts list or do a video on it please and thank you Tim
Vanquish will have the parts as a kit
I havent built a comp rig yet and im leaning towards this or the redact but im thinking this one is the winner
My first 1/10 crawler was the Ascent, I think it will be a great trail truck for me. I have the VRD on backorder now lol 😅
You will enjoy both, the VRD is a great platform and vanquish kits are I think one of the best and soothing builds to do.
Somebody had said they're coming out with a stubby transmission and a behind the axle Servo Mount I believe it was West Desert wheeler
I’ll probably pick one up but now they have the Truck of Fortune going on so I’m thinking of getting that deal since the kit is back ordered.
I think my TOF is out for delivery now
Did I miss something? Did you comment on how it drove? Was there supposed to be a comparison of the Pro and Ascent?

@@TRDAdventures sweet! Looking forward to it
I have 3 vanquish rigs all have a couple shocks leaking lol. Switched to pitbull bds they also run shorter fyi. And they do not leak ever lol.

I ordered mine IT’s back ordered though 😢

If I have the option to run behind axle I generally will especially for clearance gain in some of my builds
@@TRDAdventures ok thanks
Tim. What do you think of the VRD logo? Too close to TRD?
I like it a lot, I’m ok with it being so close
What size hubs are you running with the Dlux Fab wheels?
I believe I have the 6mm in these
Does the battery strap ever catch being underneath the sliders?

I’ve never had an issue I run similar set up on several of mine
