Level 602 is also a level which is alive.
It's basically a bunch of souls bound together by a sentient dimension as revenge. Now all it does it hunt people and entities who are more likely to become vengeful spirits, tries to kill them and absorb their soul into the mass thus making it stronger but if the person/entity overcomes their hatred, this results in the level sparing the entity/human as it only wants to make sure vengeful undead entities are not made.

The sad part about this is that the MEG operatives would probably not even be real if the backrooms actually existed so if someone were to actually end up trapped in the backrooms they would be on their own entirely and the real backrooms would be way different and more scary.
