This video is a sign I won't order Colourpop eyeshadow palettes. I'm from EU and it would be much more expensive for me to order them. And with this inconsistency I sure won't take a gamble. Thank you 💜
Glad to help! I was thinking about that actually, and was wondering if they'd send a replacement with free shipping or not. I want to think they would but why gamble and have to find out?
I was building a Colourpop culminating palette last night and noticed how the pan colors on their singles page don’t match those on the custom palette page. Some reviews of colors were described as peach by some and pink by others. Okay, I know some people are inexperienced with color undertones, so I Google image searched. Some of the colors vary by a lot! Even when you take lighting, skin tone, and how people swatch. Seems like there are chalky batches with no pay off vs rich beautiful product. I hope my custom palette will be good! The reason I made it is because I’m sick of buying expensive palettes from Sephora that look pretty in pan, but are chalky and dusty when applied. I’m still mad at Urban Decay for the Rose palette I bought. Only the metallics had any payoff whatsoever. Trash.
You're right. Luckily, I have not had this issue. Idk maybe with Sprinkle a Little Magic. I loved the green lime matte (which is pretty much why I bought it) but the pinks / mauves and more neutral tones were pretty crappy IMO. I have heard Angelica say may times that she thinks she got a bad batch, and I have kind of wondered if we're giving them too easy of a pass for this to be happening so often.
That's really odd that the bright shade would be good but the neutrals wouldn't be. It might be the problem because all the reviews I've seen of that palette were super positive, IDK Yeah, she's one of the reasons I started to wonder if it's a more common problem. I hope more people start to call it out if they're experiencing it.
I've heard people say to use tape to take off the top layer of hard-pressed or hard-pan as well as a spoolie to break it up a little! Still, nobody should have to do that just to get a product to perform
I've heard that too! I usually try digging the brush in hard and kicking up the first layer, but that didn't seem to work with this palette when I tried it between videos. IDK :/
I'm probably not going to by form that brand any time soon now. I mean kudos to Colourpop for giving you a new pallette right away but I agree that is a huge red flag! It just not worth buy cheap-ish makeup that 50 percent of the time is amazing quality or if it's a bad batch picking a fight just incase they give you a refund or a new product... And how would I know as just a regular customer that it's the batch and not just a shitty pallette? Idk but it's just not worth it to me rn

Oh. That’s probably why I had so much trouble with my CP palette when everyone was raving about the quality. It all makes sense now!
Maybe! That's really frustrating though :/
Thanks for bringing this to light. Consistency is super important to me
Your eye look came out great 😍

it makes sense if its inconsistent, since they make so many pallets so quickly. like where in the process do they do quality control 🤔

@@SarahJo OH I forgot to ask if you've seen Jaclyn's newest video 😭 it's pretty much the perfect part 2 to your iconic viral video
@@bydivadream I have not, and from that review....oh no lol

Yeaaaah, I'm for sure more hesitant now. I'll probably buy from Ulta if I do, that way at least I trust their return policy.
Colourpop has lost their magic to me because too many palettes weren't the quality I expected from them.
