Thanks you cricket Australia for finally respecting Painey, not even close to an apology but a step in the right direction. Thank you, you made this video;
Thanks for being a true captain leading the team and bringing the publics perception of Aus Cricket back. Short stint as captain , during a tumultuous period and he was a leader through and through. The public saw it and won't forget what he did for Australian Cricket during that period. Disgusting how he was shunted.
@@BarbellFooty Agreed, but how about consistency? And don't forget that players are always inclined to speak highly of incumbents. Paine dropped a lot of important catches and missed some crucial stumpings against Lyon too. Of course this is part of the game, but overall Haddin, Healy, and arguably Gilchrist too were better keepers than Paine in my books.
Tim's been great captaining the Aussies, just can't get over him not being in the test team.. I hope he comes back for em, and comes out of what's been going on in his life for quite some months now, good luck Tim!

@@prathik3618 Tim's intimate conversation with a former member of the Tasmanian cricket club was exposed by someone, causing great embarrassment to him and the Australian cricket board. This led him to ultimately decide to resign as captain.

@@chaitanyaagrawal4661 you do understand what's a dismissal, don't you? if he wasn't a good WK, then he wouldn't have got those dismissals at all. I mean, bowlers do have a hand on the dismissals but if the WK himself isn't good, how would he dismiss the batter?
@chaitanyaagrawal4661 Mate I know that he screwed up BGT twice but whatever you people say atleast he was the one who took command after sandpaper incident. Yeah he did lost bgt twice and doesn't has test centuries but also he drew ashes away. he also retained Ashes as a captain and drew test against Pak in UAE as a batsman by playing 75+ dot balls which is historic itself. It's hard to draw a match in windy UAE but he did it. Don't forget that his catch helped Aus retain Ashes in 2017. Though he himself made a comeback after 6 years, he was handed the captaincy. People thought he'll have 0% win and Aus will loose themselves in the darkness forever. But he yet ended up having 47% wins (only losses were 4 BGTs & 1 Pak test in UAE 2018). If not for his 73* & 7 catches in 2021, 36 was impossible and Aus would've lost 3-0 both times. SL were Asia cup winners in 2022 & NZ won 2021 WTC yet his team won against them (and during SL ones, Smith & Warner weren't there). And his test average is the 2nd best one in WK-Batsman for Aus (Gilly's too good to be surpassed) and is better than the top order of ECT barring Root (I'm not kidding, it's true. At least when he played, it was true then). Alas, his finger injury of 2011 (which he's still suffering from btw) ruined the great career of a prodigy. Do a research, you'll know it. I accept that he wasn't a great captain, but definitely a great leader who trained a great captain Pat and made the bond between the team strong again (which Clarke ruined it his captaincy, if you don't know). He did a lot of mistakes but he was punished for them that too way too harshly. Be appreciative towards a person who worked hard and even captaining a team with great legacy during the darkest times... 🥺😊♥ P.S : Sorry for such a long rant.
