Rogal Dorn would be a terrible Warmaster because he would consult only to his Magic Pain Glove for guidance and tends to take things personally and literally.

Horus: "Will you tell me about it?"
Big E: "Sorry but I can't."

I think this was done partially on purpose to prime Horus for corruption as the emperor broadly wanted a civil war to cull astartes
@kostuvu3156 TTS, my friend(check Alfabusa). Sadly, the vids were taken down. A close one would be when they adapted the TTS campaign to a Stellaris gameplay(also were he took those lines)
I like the idea of the triumvirate of Sanguinius, Guilliman and Lion
While it would totally undercut the significance of his death, I would greatly enjoy that trio leading the imperium. Guilliman for the logistics and day to day, the Lion for the military, and Sanguinius as the face-man.
@@HisLordsh1p would be so powerful that I don't doubt humans would "win" 40k
So Imperium Secundus vibe: Sanguinius sitting on a chair, Guilliman commanding this shitstorm and Lion finding out max speed of a droppod.
Before even starting this video I must say that Alpharius/Omegon as Warmaster would be interesting to say the least.
I wanna see an alternate timeline of 40K where the alpha legion executes a successful coup. The chaos that would ensue from that would be fucking awesome.
The other choas gods would be super confused. And tzeetch would just be laughing his ass off at the whole thing
@@sovietunion7643 I am still puzzled why Tz didnt choose Alpha Legion as his legion. Thousand Sons are awesome in their own regard, but AL would be Tz by defualt.
Jaghatai. To be a massive scouting force means logistics is a given.
His legion was both shock & awe and traditional warfare.
His logic and ability to think on the spot & listen to not only primarchs but his sons means he would be one who would listen to all which means no primarch would feel slighted
He seems like the only one to be righteous in his position. And not Holy or biblical righteousness. Like call to duty, unafraid of the challenge, because he knows no one else can. Call me crazy but if he returns there's gonna be some shit.
He doesn’t work well with others and is too much of a chad to care about what other primarchs think or make compromises. Even Dorn couldn’t wrangle him to follow his plans during the Siege.
The 2nd and 11th primarchs seem like good picks given their tons of lore that shows how amazing they are.
Given the fact they were wiped from everything they might actually have been
Yeah originally the 2 were “lost” so players could make their own. One loyalist and one traitor. However that got too chaotic to work with once they actually started adding lore. Idk what they are anymore
Excluding Guilliman, Sangy and Lion, the Khan would have been amazing as warmaster. His brothers underestimated him, which gave him a barbarian's look, but a strategists heart. Also his tactics were very ...tactical to say the least. Speed is an important quality in war and with him being fast as fuck boy, he could actually get a lot of wins simply due to the sheer speed and strength of the white scars. Plus, my boy had common sense.
Yeah, and honestly we can't ignore the fact that his historical namesake, ghengis khan, was a territory conquering monster.
He would have been a terrible Warmaster because the rest just straight up wouldn't listen to him, and he'd almost certainly piss off the few that would.
Arrived 15 seconds into the video,
I'm guessing he'll say The Lion.
Because Majorkill wants The Lion's massive, throbbing, and big sword by his side...
Considering Perturabo managed to rangle all the traitor Legions to actually form a cohesive siege against Terra itself is honestly an act which is a more telling example of leadership than Horus convincing his brothers to join his heresy boogaloo. A charismatic enough soul can convince close friends and brothers to go to many lengths, but to be able to bully rivalling daemon primarchs into following any strategic plan, much less one designed to counter Dorn himself shows a level of competence that is frankly legendary in 40K.
"With the recent return of Guilliman and the Lion, things are actually looking pretty good."

Getting a video about how each of the pre heresy primarchs would have reacted to bring in Guillimans situation as imperial regent would be pretty cool ngl. Seeing how each rule their own version of the bloated corrupt imperium would be amazing
lorgar jizzing himself with the worship of the emperor (is this pre heresy or nah)
I want to see a perfect clone of Angeon but without the butchers nails.
He would be similar to the lion in terms of honour and duty but more of a gladiator than a knight.
With his "compassion" ability before nails I feel like he would be actually the least warlike of all the primarchs, "hearts and minds" type of leader
Edit: Also I can't decide whether Anclone or Clonegron sounds better
Yeah, Angron would have been the healer primarch. He was only a gladiator due to the mental mutilation of the nails
When asked about it by one of his sons, Horus pointed Guiliman and suprisingly, Ferrus who also would make great Warmaster, which only sugest how much of the lost potentian history of Ferrrus is.
We really need a video on The Leonine Heresy. Especially with how much Majorkill loves the Dark Angels and the Lion
I read all the chapter of the leonine heresy and it's very interesting however i don't understand lion's motive for turning to chaos
@@terminator9489 Lion really wouldn't have a motive. He'd have to just straight up get possessed or tricked big time.
The Lion cant even manage to keep his own legion loyal, much less manage the politics of being warmaster.
Lion being the Prime Traitor would have been horrible considering the 1st legion was given first dibs on some of the most insane archaeo-tech that the imperium had to offer, soooo
Bizzarely, Perturabo might be the best. The fact that he was able to ignore the call of the Ruinous powers while ACTIVELY serving them indicates a strength of will that exceeds Horus, while it would give him the recognition he craved.
I don't know which Primarch should of been Warmaster... But I have always wondered if another Primarch should HAVE been Warmaster...
Indeed, stupid grammatical error. But I guess it might be because it makes people comment and so puts the video higher!
@@Lurkzzok, so i am not the only one thinking majorkill isn‘t dense enough to think this would be right but did it on purpose to try something 😂
I always assumed the emperor chose horus because he thought it was his best chance at winning a son back. He has continuously shown that he thinks his sons can be redeemed. Almost dying to horus before giving up on him. (If horus could be saved it would prove so could others)
Guilliman would work just fine. He's effectively warmaster of the indomitus crusade right now and it's going great

In the lore it seems at any given point in the Great Crusade that either the Sons of Horus, Dark Angels and Ultramarines had the best record.
In lore Sanguinius & Blood Angels where considered on par with Horus & Luna Wolves. But Sanguinius didn't have interest in glory and status.
Dark Angels were the fastest in rate of compliance until Lorgar decided to show everyone how effective his legion is at bombing civilians like the rest of his brothers and became top dog for the 40 years he spent brewing the Heresy.

@@sovietunion7643 Meanwhile Blood Angels are GW's punching bag yet again. Sanguinary guard was wiped out literally to a man during the devastation.
How about this for a video idea:
Was there ever any good alien/human interactions during the Great Crusade?
What attribute/feature do you think the missing Primarch's would have had from their father (The Big E)
If it where up to you, What would the trait of the missing Legions be that would have made them stand out from the rest (For me, a Legion that excels above all others in air and naval combat would be pretty cool)
He is my favorite Primark by far. Would love to see him return to the lore
Could also make them a pirate styled legion as their gimmick, would be pretty cool.
I think that - for obvious gameplay reasons - there were two of each legion speciality (generally one Emo legion and one Prep legion), and one of each pair Fell. The two legions missing their pairs are the Iron Hands and the Thousand Sons - which suggests that one of the missing legions was the Emo cybernetics legion, and the other was the Prep psyker legion.
Emo Cybernetics have got a pretty obvious cause for getting purged before The Heresy - they build an Abominable Intelligence.
Prep Psykers don't have such an obvious cause - but if they were in fact a *Pariah* legion they might well have gotten purged largely by accident because nobody liked them...
It was always a 2 horse race, Horus and the Lion. The only two you could consider the emperor was worried about turning
Doubt it. The Lion wasn't charismatic enough
Even his own Marines (Fallen) didn't want him!
Swear every Primarch video now is just MajorKill noshing off the Lion
Really good video, mostly agree on what you said! Except for Ferrus Manus, don’t forget that he was also a tactical genius highly considered by Boby G himself (I think he was in his top 3 ally to chose to pick his best team)
Much as I love hearing about the primarchs/legions, it’d be cool hearing about any rivalries among Guard regiments.
Hey majorkill a good video idea would be non combat characters who have seriously impacted the galaxy
Damn, the fallen Primarch artwork at 8:25 is insane! The upside down angel referencing the cross of saint Peter which is inverted and sometimes considered a satanic symbol and then Jaghatai Khan looking like a fucking shinigami, awesome!
I sometimes think the Emperor had originally set up Guilliman for leading the Heresy, and what better revenge for Lorgar and the Word Bearers than to turn the burner of Monarchia to the ruinious powers and against the Emperor, but instead the prize of Warmaster Horus fell into their hands.
I’m sure Angron as war master would have been one of the easiest to deal with. However, he couldn’t pick Angron because none of his other sons would have accepted it leading to rebellion among his sons. So, it’s that basically limits the emperor to Sanguinius, the lion, Giliman, and Horos. Out of those 4 Horos was probably the most expendable.
I am Angron. I will Leeroy Jenkins into battle. This is Lotara. She will fire the Ursus Claws. This is Kharn. If you want any actual instruction, ask him.

Ferris. Great commander, open to input from others and willing to change his outlook on things as shown with Fulgrim and Vulcan. His temper MAY be an issue, but in a fight where he's not caught off guard by the most unthinkable betrayal, he wouldnt have a reason to go berserk and reckless.
uses "should of" instead of "should have...."
Come now.
The Lion absolutely should have been given the honor considering his legion (with help but mostly the Dark Angels) defeated the Rangdan and thus kept the Great Crusade going because the Rangdan were also stated to be actively and capable of conquering the Milky Way.
Majorkill bro I can't help it, the Tzeentchian grammar Nazi is rising up within me
*Should Have
or *Should've
If Konrad wasn't insane I honestly believe he could bleed the imperium of supply and resources it would take longer but I reckon he could've done a wickedly evil job
If whoever the emperor chose to be warmaster was destined to fall to chaos, then why didn't he just not pick a warmaster in the first place?
Omg Alpharius and Omegan attempting to Shadow coup and blocking each other 80 different ways with Corvus and the custodies slowly uncovering the plots would be AMAZING!
One thing I was thinking about is if Ferrus fell to Chaos. If Ferrus fell to Chaos, his gifts with machines combined with Lorgar’s knowledge of the Warp and Daemons would have led to the two creating some monstrous engines of war. If they could work together and had sufficient resources, they could produce a hell forge like no other. Of course, whether that time spent making Daemon engines would be better used to lead their forces against the loyalist is another matter but something I like to think about.
Sanguinious Guilliman and The Lion are hands down the three most effective Primarchs to have when it comes to conquest and empire building. Sanguinious would be the one leading awe inspiring leader and the Lion the advisor for conquest and war stratagem and Guilliman for infrastructure and effective resource distribution. All three together would've made the imperium take a huge detour from what it is now.
Sang is the only one that can keep the Lion and King Smurf from attacking each other.
I think you'd also want to add either Perturabo or even Dorn for their abilities in fortification building and siegecraft as a lot of conquest and empire building would include breaking down fortresses and rebuilding them.
I would argue that Jagatai could sit amongst those three choices, as he was incredibly pragmatic, effective, and literally told the emperor that he wasnt a huge fan.
an idea for a video: the burning of monarchia explained by an australian
I feel that the burning of monarchia was the event that indirectly started the horus heresy, by making lorgar feel that the emperor should not be worshiped, and therefore begins his mission to find new gods, reaching the gods of chaos, I think a video dedicated to that topic would be good
I will keep asking for this because if there is one thing all 40k factions have in common it's stubbornness:
Could you make a video on how someone could permanently kill one of the 4 chaos gods and (more interestingly) what would happen if they did ?
Slaanesh is the easiest one to take out. He's been fucked into existence, she can be unfucked out of it too. Idk about kill, but you can definitely seal it.
An interesting fact to consider is that in any alternate heresy where the Primarchs switched loyalties, there is always a non-zero chance that Magnus being loyal would result in the Webway project succeeding, or at least the Emperor having far more freedom to act in the Heresy due to Magnus sitting on the Golden Throne, resulting in Malcador surviving and a more effective defense of Sol due to the TS not doing Warp magic to circumvent the defenses like in Canon. Additionally, the impact that a fully-committed, fully-loyal Alpha Legion would be able to wreck havoc with the Traitors while legions like the Word Bearers would be really useful for propaganda, their charisma and religiosity being used to keep up morale and resist Chaos, even to a small degree.
"His tactics include, Flex his wings until the enemy surrenders." LOL I feel that.😄😄
They should have just made Angron or lorgar war master if they were destined for chaos

what did each primarch want to do after the great crusade
Lion El Johnson was mentioned in fluff as the greatest tactician if I remember correct, and Sanguinius was considered the "greatest" of them so it would have been between the two. Vulkan 's my pick for which war master that could win over the Emperor . The hard part would be getting Vulkan to fall . which would be a thing in it's self but it could be done ; Vulkan would only turn to Choas if he thought it were the only way to save humanity, If he believed it was the only way forward . A Corrupted Vulkan , one without kindness , without mercy ; without hesitation , Vulkan unbound . What could stand against him.
If Vulkan says we must rebel...
Horus was the best warmaster and meant to be one. He was a good brother to all primarchs before fall. No fortress or defences was impossible for him to conquer. None could rival him on that title. Plus before the fall, he was the most devoted to bring the galaxy into his father rule so that humanity can have a great future. All other primarchs would've sucked, sangy was softy, lion was grumpy, dorn was a wall, none suited for that title lmao

Saying Sanguinius was not a great tactician doesn't really reflect the lore. He was at least as skilled (if not more skilled) than Horus, able to match him both in acumen and force of will. The difference is in humility. Sanguinius would hear all ideas and choose the best one, even if it wasn't his, and then celebrate the person who had the right strategy. Horus might choose a better idea than his once in a blue moon, but he would resent, hate, and ultimately backstab anyone who one-upped him. Sanguinius may have some internal conflict, but no-one could ever call him indecisive. It's actually a core part of the legion biography - particularly in the black books from FW - that the BA committed all the way once a course of action was decided on, pursuing it relentlessly. Their rite of war - Day of Revelation - was built upon this idea. You either surrender now, completely, or we annihilate you. If you are going to take the Warmaster route and have him fall (ignoring that even Lorgar thought it'd be impossible), then you have to reckon with a chaos-juiced foresight ability as well. Considering Chaos was working against his foresight and it was still very potent, imagine how effective it could be on a galactic scale if it were juiced up.
I know you've got your Lion bias, so I won't dunk on it. I have my favorite as well (clearly).
Probably Sanguinius or Lion. Guilliman is an lead administrator, Dorn is a lead builder, and Jaghatai wants to be left alone and told what to do on a very ambiguous level.
Whichever one would have finally taught humanity the correct way to write "should've"
The second and the eleventh primarchs would be great
Angron would have been perfect as warmaster, imagine him trying to turn the other primarchs to chaos
"We need someone who can understand emotional conflict between primarchs"
>Picks lion
Perturabo. Ambassadors can be hired, HR can be delegated but logic trumps all and as warmaster he couldn't have felt taken for granted and without him the heresy wouldn't have got off Istvan 5...
Majorkill, you mention several times that Chaos chose the Warmaster, can you do a video on this? Also, if Horus was the first primarch found, but The Lion got 1st Legion, why was this the case?
