Hi Klaus, Do you have a video on the removal and replacement of the Rear Lock cylinder? The one you referred to being in the wrong position. Both of mine started leaking BADLY at the same time for some odd reason. Looking from the trunk, I cannot see where the fluid is coming out of the rear top lock cylinder. The Tonneau cylinders are dry as a bone. 2002 SL500 with 55k miles. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thank you in advance !!! Richard Simile / 602-884-2111

Thanks for asking. These cylinders tend to fail in pairs, so there is no surprise in both rear lock cylinder 1298002172 leaking a lot. You have probably already replaced the front lock cylinders. Ultimately, all nine cylinders in the rear fail in short order once you have the first leak in the rear.

@@TopHydraulics THANK YOU SO MUCH for your help !!! Chapter #4 is perfect in what I needed. I would like to know how much Top Hydraulics would charge me to rebuild the front top lock cylinders, the rear top lock cylinders and the Tonneau cylinders? Six cylinders total. Do you use MB seals? Thank you again for your awesome help !!!!
