Hardware stores sold cigarettes back in the day? I'll have to tell them Pat Summerall sent me!
Salesclerk is very attentive. Often, they just ignore you for a while or worse, pretend you don't exist and go work elsewhere. That's what happened to me at a big-box retailer.
Quite a nice cigarette jingle.
That was their jingle in the 1964-'65 season. In 1965-'66, it was "Come on over to the L&M side! Come on over for the taste of it! Come on over, you'll be glad you did! Come on over to the L&M side!"
Been looking for this ad since I ever first got on the internet. Lol
Thank you for the upload!
Very modern looking hairstyles and clothes for 1964. Simpler times: no freaking out over smoking and high cholesterol!
I freaked out when my mom smoked in the car. I would put my shirt over my mouth. Mom would say to me, "I haven't lit it yet."
I wish more “full flavor” cigarettes had an all white filter today. I’ve never understood the purpose of the fake “cork” paper on filters.

I love L & M cigarettes, good tobacco and good flavor
