In my opinion the map doesnt matter, just its tougher to play as junkrat against a good widow, echo, pharah or a genji
the maps definitely play a big part in Junkrat's effectiveness, but yes at the end of the day the opposing composition is also important

I have a question Aqua, I never bothered to do the air shots after my mine combos until they nerfed the combo. Are you guessing where the enemy goes in the air or are you doing something else like having good reflexes?
I've learned how players move after being hit by conc, so it's a blend of prediction and reflexes.

Bro Midtown and Circuit Royale are bad junk maps???? They are a couple of my favorites along with Eichenwalde and Kings Row, idk what you talking bout man
I never said they can't be someone's favorite junkrat maps. But from my experience and every high-ranked Junkrat I've spoken to, they are naturally harder maps to get value with Junk on compared to Eichenwalde or Kings Row. Which are also my favorite maps!

why are those kind of maps bad for junk? Junkertown seems good.
The maps are incredibly open, which is bad for Junk who wants to be up close in tight spaces.
Hitscan are a lot better here, where Junkrat can struggle to duel at the longer ranges these maps have.
