Rankins Springs Is West

This is a copy of our archive movie Rankins Springs is West, it was made in approximately 1950-1951 as a promotional film for Shell.
The Publican is my Great Grandfather, Ernest Della Valle, the girl getting her hair brushed and ready for the dance is my Grandmother Ena Della Valle, and that is her mother 'Old Ena' (Della Valle) who is brushing it and pulling it back.
This was before my Grandmother (Young) Ena married my Pop (Laurie) Lamont, and unfortunately she died only 2 days after giving birth to my Mum so whilst we have a couple of photos of her, this is the only time Mum and I ever actually got to see her in 'motion'

I know a Jock - but have no idea of his surname 🤷‍♀️😁 The town is having its Centenary celebrations in September (15 - 17th) so who knows who I will get to catch up with again.
