    Could not agree more with not bagging out every time you go fishing. It gets me so worked up when people uploading photos of 6 snapper with their throats slit. Unless you have a huge family to feed there’s no need for it, keep what you NEED not what you want.
    Anyway with that said, another solid video, love your work Ando 🤙🏼

      Colt Kerr You know not everybody gets to fish everyday. For a busy guy with a family who might only get to fish once a month or less, why he shouldn’t he put a few in the freezer. There’s bag limits for a reason, if the fish couldn’t sustain the harvest there’d be a zero limit.

    • @mofishing1073
      @mofishing1073 5 років тому +2

      Jesse Smith-Pinkham I said ‘not bagging out every time you go fishing’ the comment was more aimed at people who get off on just keeping and killing everything they catch that’s legal because ‘I’m inside the bag limits’
      I see where you’re coming from though.

    Washed the fish in knees deep or just below the knees water or you will seasoned the fish with sand. Or rinse with water you brought along with you. I used to wash the fish like you did and all i can tasted was sand. 😂
    P/S : do not scaled the fish if you want to wrap it with banana leaf. The scales will prevent the burned banana leaf from sticking to the fish . And put the lemon slices inside the belly as well

    Ive had rice and other foods cooked in banana leaves, really nice flavour that way given by those leaves. Traditionally here kids in summer would wrap fish in grape leaves and then clay-mud and cook them similar to a salt bake. Also quite a good way too cook with a good flavour imparted. One method I'd love to try would be volcanic steam vent cooking of which there are only a few modern versions remaining of this method most notably in Hawaii.

    • @Andysfishing
      @Andysfishing  5 років тому +1

      As long as there isn’t too much sulphur in the steam.

    • @keeperofthegood
      @keeperofthegood 5 років тому

      @@Andysfishing it is probably why there is very few areas where it is or was done and I have never read anywhere outside the region of the ring of fire to have used that method. Hawaii inside the ring and Japan on the ring both make use of thermal vents for cooking in limited areas today. Done more for the novelty of historic tradition, modern methods being easier to do.

    hey Andy I must say your very accurate casting is impressive. In my area, casting right up against, or into the structure is absolutely essential and I was wondering f you would cover some accurate casting tips? Like rod type, length of the line from the end of the tip, swing, etc etc. it would be really useful for a lot of us. I lose more lures snagging up on poor casts or losing fish by being too shy to cast confidently right up against snags.

    Hi Andy,
    I hope you're doing well. I've been following your channel for some time and I really enjoy your content, please keep up the good work :)
    I was wondering if you would try a certain bait for crabbing? I think a good, hardy bait would be strips of fresh veal or beef heart, it's a tough tissue so it is easy to tie and keep in place. And it should be an inexpensive bait that isn't too difficult to procure. If it is permitted in your crabbing waters, perhaps you could try it out and see how it does :)
    Cheers
