Difference in solubility between hemihydrate and gypsum becomes smaller with increasing temp. And this condtion lowers the driving force for forming dihydrate so results in slower setting rxn and increases the setting time
AFAIK, an increase in temperature would shift the chemical equilibrium into endothermic reaction. Since calcination reaction is exothermic, therefore an increase in temperature would shift the chemical equilibrium to the left direction (slower setting time). Cmiiw.
Thanks mam for one more video. Mam can u plz plz tell the difference between incisal ridge and incisal edge. Actually in wheelers it is mentioned that incisal edge doesnot exist on an incissor until occlusal wear has created a flattened surface linguoincisally, Which surface forms an angle with labial surface. Plz explain this. As i havent got the point what is incisal edge
+Rutika Pathrabe very nice question Glad to know that you are developing interest in dentistry.. Srishti jain has answered your query well. Incisal ridge is present on a tooth not subjected to occlusal wear.. may be a newly erupted tooth Incisal edge is formed due to occlusal wear by masticatory forces. Also .. before occlusal wear incisal ridge forms angle with labial surface and after occlusal wear lingual surface forms angle with labial surface.. God bless you Happy studying

Helpful as usual 🙂 Thanks for guidance 🙏
U are really a blessing for us 💜
Can you please make some lectures on polymers? this upload was amazing. thank you so much.
Sure
Was expecting a quiz at end,thanks ma'am
On increasing temp. from 20 to 37 degree celsius, rate of reaction increases hence setting time reduces. But, you are telling setting time increases.
Difference in solubility between hemihydrate and gypsum becomes smaller with increasing temp. And this condtion lowers the driving force for forming dihydrate so results in slower setting rxn and increases the setting time
It neither deceased or increases
Temp cancels the effect
AFAIK, an increase in temperature would shift the chemical equilibrium into endothermic reaction. Since calcination reaction is exothermic, therefore an increase in temperature would shift the chemical equilibrium to the left direction (slower setting time). Cmiiw.
Mam youre lectures are very well
