Hi Mike! I have made a stop at Fort Morgan a part of everyday. I don't take trains often I spent a career in the Aviation area) but when I do I always appreciate the comfort greatly!
Good afternoon, Ralph; I thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. I appreciate it. I may not board the trains as much as I would like to, but it is always a pleasure to live that life vicariously through being on the platform to greet the trains and the personnel who are operating as well as the passengers. I hope that you have a great Friday afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe!
Hi Mike-nice clear crisp mornin-what a quick exit-Big Red travels to play the Hoosiers 6-0 tommorrow at 11:00am should be a great game go Huskers&enjoy the weekend Mike thank you, Jeb😉
Good afternoon, Jeb; I thank you for dialing in and the comments. Yep. I am going to be planted in front of the TV for that game. They had a week off and now it's time to play for all the marbles. Have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning. That was either Ric at the controls or a Ric-wannabe: an amazing arrival and a parking-lot stop for the de-training (and only) passengers. Very impressive! I hope you have a great weekend.
Good evening, Paul; I thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. It was a Ric trained individual in the operators seat this morning. Should have Ric running tomorrow morning. Have a great evening over there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good afternoon, Lou; Thaks for dialing in and the comments. I appreciate it. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good evening, Carolyn; Thank you for dialing in and the comments. I appreciate it. It just quit raining here. We got a whole spit of rain. Made mud balls on the windows. LOL!! It has been a decent day though. I hope that yours was the same. Please take care and stay safe! 👋👌🌦🤓👍
Good morning Mike from 43 beautiful mid Tenn. Now that was a ric less stop but probably one trained by the " master". We will reach high 60' s today but fall is working it's way toward us. A good Friday to you and your Zazzy' s gang.
Good afternoon, Ben; Thanks for stopping by and the comments. I think we will see Ric tomorrow morning. I believe he took #6 from Denver to Lincoln last night. It is 54 F. here at 1235 MDT. Possible rain later today. It is nice to have seasonal temperatures for a while here. Back to the upper 70s next week. Anyway, I hope that you have a great afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe!
Good Friday morning Mike! Currently 54 degrees here at 10:10 AM Iowa time! Should be 65 in a while! About time for our warm-up! I heard Ric on number 6 earlier when I watched Marne’s video! Maybe he’ll come back through tomorrow morning? Not absolutely sure of how long a crew lays over until their return run. Have a great Friday out your way Sir! I assure you that I am back here! Mark in Iowa.
Good morning, Mark; Thanks for dropping by and the comments. It has dropped a bit here with 47 F now on the thermometer. The wind has shifted to the north and feels different from what I felt at the depot. I think they are covering for operators taking time off for one reason or another. Yep. He should be thru tomorrow morning if he was thru last night. No matter. I'll be looking and listening for him. Have a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Yeah good morning Mike does zephyr riders all out of have a great ride going west. Riding through all the scenery and everything today. Stay safe out there and it looks like it's getting cooler out there.
Good morning, Robert; I thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. AMTRAL times to Zephyr to make for the best viewing of the scenery during daylight. That's why the train crosses the Rockies and Sierras during daylight hours. The rest is in darkness much as the airlines call it "fly-over" country. We are getting a taste of seasonal weather over the weekend. May get a sniff of rain too. Anyway, have a great Friday back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Jim; Thank you for stopping by along with the comment. It will be nice to have round two of the sunrise trains. Sadly, that doesn't last. But come March, the sunrise skies will return. Have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Leo; Thank you for dropping by along with the comments. That's the way to make these rural station stops. I do like 'em like that. Have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Ken; Thanks for dialing in and the comments. I appreciate it. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning Mike. The Zephyr riders should have another beautiful day traveling west through the Rockies today. With changing weather conditions plus still some fall foliage to observe. You have a great day and hopefully we'll see a little rain. Everyone stay safe out there.
Good morning, David; Thanks for tuning in along with the comments. They may encounter snow over there today. Or at least look to the high peaks for the white stuff. Lots of wind an maybe some moisture this afternoon. Much cooler. Happy that I rode the trike to the storage shed on Wednesday. Have a great Friday over there. Please take care and stay safe!
Hi Mike- A nice clear brisk mornin-real nice stop&go- Big Red headed to play the undefeated Hoosiers at 11:00am should be a great game! Go Huskers! Whelp the weekend is just about here-enjoy Mike & thanks, -Jeb 😉
Good morning Mike: You are speedy this morning. Nice video this morning. Looks to be windy. We have a forecast of wind and maybe rain in the city, snow in the higher elevations. Have a good day and stay safe and warm.😊😊😊😊😊
Good morning, Gerld; I thank you for stopping by as well as the comments. It is blustery right now as the wind changed direction and picked up a bit of speed. Much cooler today and maybe a chance of moisture later this afternoon. The dust clouds are getting denser here. Time for coffee at Zazzy's with Marne and the guys. Have a great Friday down there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Norman; Thanks for stopping by as well as the comments. Iam with you on that. No long squealing of the brakes. Drop the step, usher them out, and hit it! LOL! I hope that you have a great afternoon and evening. Please take care and stay safe!
Thanks Mike. Fast Stop this morning. What; about a minute? Where do the #5 #6 Operating Crews change these days, to the East of Denver? McCook, NE or ?
Good morning, John; I thank you for tuning in along with the comments/questions. I didn't time the stop from the opening o the door until the high ball was given but a minute or less works today. mark answered you question about the crew changes. Chicago to Ottumwa, to Lincoln, to Denver, to Grand Junction, and on to Salt Lake City (I think). From there on it gets a little blurry to me. Reno and Roseville, I think. Anyway, have a great Friday. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning, Mike. Quick stop/departure this am. Who was on the pedal, 'cause #5 came in rolling. You won't have a big temperature swing today. Stay safe & be careful. Most of all, stay warm with those 50°s
Good morning, Jim; Thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. I thought Ric may have been with this train but that wasn't him in control. Someone with commuter train experience or trained by someone with that time under their belt. (Ric). The temp has not moved yet the wind is now from the north behind the front bringing the seasonal weather in. Possible moisture here tonight. I can only hope for it. Hope all is well back there. Please take care and stay safe!
Wow, that was a quick one today. Is that temp accurate? High of 51 degrees today? Here in NorCal cooler mornings in the 50's, afternoons upper 70's to low 80's. I did light the pilot for our gas insert fireplace this morning so we are ready when the mornings get cooler. Seems like Fort Morgan is turning toward fall. My favorite time of year. Best Ted
Good evening, Ted; Thank you for dropping by along with the comments. We did make 53 F and have dropped back into the mid 40s with, of all things, RAIN! Sadly, it was just enough to make mud balls on the windows. Maybe just a spit worth in total. LOL!! We will range in the 50s tomorrow and Sunday followed by 70s and dry for the next week. BTW, that 53 is seasonal for here this time of year. We should have had a deep frost and be in "Indian Summer". I am sure that gas log will do the right thing in knocking out the morning chill out of the mornings. Anyway, have a great evening out there. Please take care and stay safe!
Good morning and thank you for dropping by as well as the question. Yes. I did spot the ATLAS comet a couple nights ago. Breath taking and absolutely a once-in-a-lifetime event. Have a great Fridy. Please take care and stay safe!
Good afternoon, John; Thanks for looking in and the comment. Yep. The reservations for breakfast were secure with this stop. Habe a great Friday. Plese take care and stay safe!
