When your co.sell IR units at tractor supply. Stores. Include a magnetic starter..i has one a 5hp. 80 gal unit...with no starter..I blew through a few of your pressure switchs..till I added a magnetic starter...pls take your own advice from this video....I know it's IR bottom line selling these units in a store.. my contacts were burned. I used # 6 wire from my fuse box to the pressure switch..it wasn't any fault of the wiring ..just the pressure switch could handle the on..off all the time 5 days a week..so I had a starter installed..no issues..
A friends ingersol rand ss4l5 compressor is not shutting down neither by turning switch off only by shutting power off at breaker box. I'm wondering what does the guy in the video means by magnetic starting components?

I have the same model shown in this video. The noise is killing me. Every time I use my wheel machine the compressor clicks in for like 10 minutes
So how does one become a compressor technician?
My compressor wont cut out its selt and cant cut it of by hitting the switch so have to unplug it

Open up the black box and replace the magnetic contactor (starter ) motor
