It started good, but then became too acrobatic towards the end. The power in this song is in its effortless simplicity, not crazy vocal acrobatics. Don't get me wrong, arnel is a great singer, but there are times when simplicity beats complicated technicality
it's all subjective. a lot of singers here sing it one way only - it's a very melancholy dirge like song that I don't prefer to listen to. it has a sad message and doesnt quite fit the holiday spirit. i prefer a little twist, i like this bluesy version. kinda like blue christmas sang in an upbeat version by some artists.
