There are quite tight regulations how the buildings should look like in Prague. Imagine you live in a forgotten street far from any tourist - You want plastic window frames to better insulate? Was in Prague last week and the amount of stores that sell weed is overwhelming. We were approached multiple times by some guys that drive around on bikes and questioned us if we want to buy some. It is a real shame that a beautiful city like this is ruined with these tourist traps that don't add anything to the historic value and the beauty of Prague.
Is it weird that I would trust the people on the street more than these stores? All of the things they were selling looked like dust. I also think the flashiness of it is really ugly. I can see teenage me being entertained by it.
@@friedrichs.8004 The effects of CBD are negligible. And the quality of those products looked sketchy as hell. If it's not regulated, then they can lie about how much is actually in it. And since it's for tourists, they don't have to worry about it not doing anything, since they are not catering to return customers. A tourist trap is anywhere that sells something for a marked up price, who relies on foreigners for business. If there are no locals around, that's a red flag. Cause that means no returning customers. Dealers rely on return customers. So I would find them more reliable if I wanted to smoke while in another country.
I went to Prague with my girlfriend and we decided to try the HHC gummybears. We took two each after asking many times if we would get high with that, well we definitely were high, maybe too much tbh. They were very kind to us and even explained the difference between hhc and thc because we didn’t know it. Also they didn’t treat us like stupid tourists and gave us informations about what we were consuming. I guess it heavily depends on the kindness of the employers in the shop, because i also remember some other shops we went into and we felt like they forcefully wanted to sell us everything. Btw i think we paid like 14 euros for two gummybears each, but with just one you’ll definitely feel high

For me HHC gummies don't really do much, I ate 200mg the other day and was like a 3/10 stoned at the maximum. When I use a HHC vape cart it gets me to about a 5/10 and I can't get any higher than that no matter how many puffs I take. It's really strange to me because everyone feels it stronger. I feel like a better cannabinoid is HHC-P that one gets me to an 11/10 stoned it's so damn strong.
Most of the expensive prices you were talking about are only meant for tourists. When a Czech person walks in and speaks czech, they´ll give you a "normal" price. I remember last time my friends from the UK were in Prague, we went to buy a few beers in one of these shops because it was like 2AM and the pub we were heading into was quite far so we went to purchase five beers and the cashier was like 500CZK. So I started to talk in czech that that´s a ridiculous price and the cashier was like "Oh... you are Czech, you get it cheaper" and the final price was like 250CZK.
It's sad that people want to scam you like that in eastern europe. Like I am already enriching you by buying a product or a service from you and would probably leave a nice tip as well but on top of that they have to upsell me by like 2 or 3 times the actual price. This is a problem really everywhere outside of western/northern Europe

I bought joint in the weed shop, later I discovered it had a notice on a box which said "Do not smoke it is for decoratove puproses only" while it was a mildest joint I still gave it a try, it got me so stoned I was walking same street on circles for hours and was not able to find an exit : D

As a native New Yorker (well, actually Jersey City) I grew up seeing the games played against tourists, especially in Manhattan. They still go on. Nowadays you get bud that'll knock you into next week, bud that'll make you work like a racehorse, bud that'll make you understand that the meaning of life is in fact bananas, back then it was a grab bag and if you were buying from a dealer instead of a mate that grew you had to pay massive premiums and fly to Jamaica to buy today's normal quality. Pick up a pre roll in their opening day sale and have it after dinner, you won't regret it.

I'd spend two nights in each before returning to Chicago. On one trip, on my last day, I bought a kilo for Maui Wowie for $200. It came as a hard compressed brick in a Tupperware snaplid box that might hold 6 or sandwiches. One edge was sticky because resin had leaked out of poorly closed seam. It wouldn't fit in my carry on and I traveled without check in luggage. The overhead bins were full. So I rode the four hour flight with the box of weed on my lap or on the floor under the seat ahead of me. I know that today it's not possible to imagine a world without xrays, dogs, etc - but it did exist. You could walk up to the ticket desk ten minute before a flight and buy a one way ticket for cash. No ID need. Just give them any name you wanted. Good times.

in austria we also have shops that sell the exact same stuff, but they are extremly honest/friendly, nothing gets hidden and everybody knows why theyre there

I first went to Prague in 2005. Lovely place, very intimate. By 2007, it had become overrun with tourists. The last time I went was in 2016 and it was an absolute nightmare. Like a cheap Disneyland for Americans, full of crowds.
Be careful in these shops if buying cbd. They place 2 or 3 products in front of you with clearly 'krona' prices, then they ask you if you pay by card. If you say yes and then choose a product you discover (later) that they have replaced the krona product with a product with the 'euro' symbol on it . So your 220 krona (for example) purchase, becomes 220 euro. If you go back to complain suddenly the boss is phoned to tell you to fuck off, and if you persist suddenly a huge knuckle dragging guy will walk in the door to threaten you. Best advice is just do not purchase anything, do not support these stores.

From the asshole boss on the phone, to the 6 foot 10 goon she sent in, who laughably arrived within minutes. Funny that they don't call police , but they have a goon at the standby. These shops are just embarrassing for Prague.. I hadn't been in Prague 1 for a while and took my visiting friend on a little tour. To be honest it is cringe-worthy how much tat and rubbish is being punted around everything from these weed shops, trdelniks, sweet shops etc.. We stopped just off Staromesto Namesti and bought Klobasa... This was also overpriced lukewarm and bad quality. Prague is a beautiful city, I don't understand how the local authorities even allow these dreadful shops to open. Thanks for your great content honest guide!
I can almost guarantee that a lot of these stores are selling real THC weed. It's illegal to sell weed in The Netherlands but you still see coffee shops everywhere, the cops just tolerate it. The same type of thing is happening in Prague. Even the stores that aren't selling THC weed are selling HHC weed, which gets you high just like normal weed does.

Idk there's a good amount of false advertising in dispensaries and I'm not completely impressed with what there allow producers to get away with. Overall simply a worse product compared to the craft cannabis/home grown scene, illegal market is a little bit hit/miss but Im always getting better quality and bang for ur buck from street weed, it just smokes alot closer to how organic home grown does, it's not irradiated, usually not sprayed but it's not hard to tell, where dispo nugs are almost always sprayed in my experience, or they just dry dusty chalk consistency, smokes too fast and harsh, Overall i think the legal market has been most successful in giving the illegal market a bar to outperform while the legal market focuses on "cheap"/convenience factors

I was also in Prague two weeks ago and wo bought edibles which were thc and hhc and both made us high. I wouldn’t recommend weed buds but edibles are the way to go if you wanna get high. We bought them in a shop under the carls bridge on the northern end of it and it’s about 300 crowns for 3 x 30mg. Just for those people that want to get high but not get scammed!!
I would be interested in if you bought the 20 THC weed and get it tested, the salesperson said yeah it's illegal but no one cares so I am inclined to believe it does have thc.
I'm not entirely sure but I think it is also illegal to buy thc without a prescription 🤔 Honestly, the drug laws here are stuck in the 20th century. There are lots of new drugs that they don't cover at all and that children can buy from a vending machine but grannies still get years in prison for growing a couple of weed plants in their garden🙄
They literally don't care though. You can get nice high thc weed from African guys. Just spot one of them around the square area near the clock and you get a nice deal as well. That's back in ~2009; I would guess they're even more easy going these days!!!
I was in that same store he went in at around 6:00 minutes. I bought the gummies that were up on the screen, and they did exactly what I wanted them to do. They made me feel more relaxed, in a very subtle way.
I was there in December. First time back in 10 years. Kind of disappointing to see how the city had changed so much in many different ways...and the cannabis shops everywhere was kind of a let down.
I' was in Prague back in 2015 on a 7 day trip. As soon as i' got out a taxi and step my foot in the center area some dude came to me and offered me all kinds of drugs. I' bought only weed and it was high quality. I' was looking for it so i' found it right away. As i'was walking down some square in the center area i' couldn't believe that street dudes(mostly black dudes) were offering me all kinds of stuff by yelling across the street to me while the cops were right there between us and they just sit in the police car minding their own...If you ask me,Prague is very liberal when it comes to weed and smoking in public,i' was enjoying my joint everywhere i' went and apsolutely nobody cared not even the cops. Great memories from this city!
In the Netherlands or "Amsterdam" as the tourists keep calling it, THC is illegal. It's illegal to grow, it's illegal to carry it, and it's illegal to sell. However, when it's sold by a licensed coffee shop it's "decriminalised". There's no law on how this is legal, but it's technically not legal. But if you carry less than 5 gram in public, and the police finds it, they let you get away with it, but it all depends on their mood. They can still screw you over, but nobody really does it. You cannot legally grow the plant, so you should not be able to get this plant into your shop. And they will fine or arrest you. It's ridiculous.
to those wondering, HHC is similar to THC however do not expect the same effect at all, else it will be a disappointing experience. It will get you high in a different way. Similar but not quite the same.
I once bought that symtuff in Greece and smoked it… it’s literally with aromas and chemicals. I didn’t feel a high, just felt tired, but I HAD IMMENSE BREATHING ISSUES the next days. Kept smoking it without connecting the two 🥲 until a friend didn’t believe me and took a closer look at the packaging

You forgot to mention HHC does have a similar effect as THC. A novice smoker would probaly assume they just have been sold low-quality weed. Cause that's what it feels like

I live in Virginia and our Marijuana laws are very weird. It's been fully legalized for recreational use. You are allowed to have 4 plants, you can legally walk around with an ounce of the stuff, and there are pot shops everywhere, but the pot shops only sell CBD because its illegal to sell Marijuana in Virginia aside from medical dispenserys which are few and far between, and our idiot governor just banned the sale of delta (other than 9) stuff to "protect the children" despite the fact that kids aint even allowed into the stores where the stuff is sold. Because of this, most people still buy weed off the streets from the same dealers they got it from before it was legalized. If you come to Virginia, you will smell it everywhere there are other people, and there is a good chance somone will approach you on a busy street offering to sell you some. The funniest/saddest thing is that we are bordered by multiple states and in some of those states, you can legally buy Marijuana, while in other states, you will go to prison just for having traces of it on you. The US legal system can be a bit of a clusterf**k somtimes.
I’m sticking to Holland I think😂😂 I went three times last year and the third occasion I stayed in Zaandsvoort and the weed at hunters coffee shop was far superior to that you get in Amsterdam. I was considering prague so I appreciate the heads up about the weed situation.
Amsterdam is tourists quality and prices, other cities mostly offer better price/quality (The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft for example ) and i bet zandvoort coule be also included but i never been there 😂
There is no better place then Spain, the best tasting and quality you can find in Europe to decent prices.. Netherlands is crap compared to Spain, or let's say specific Amsterdam, tourist traps wherever you go.. But I have great memories in Enschede, super nice quality and not so overpriced

been to Prague before , storytime. so i was looking for weed in the heart of prague, call a friend he drops an addy and I pull up there, black door blacked out windows front door is unlocked, proceeded to go in and go down 3 stairs sets in complete darkness with the exception of a red light bulb on each set of stairs, got to the bottom of the stairs, faded reggae music playing and smelled like weed I opened the door, 3 big friendly black dudes ask me what was i doing there and I explained Ithat i was looking for good weed and beer, they attended my alcohol and thc needs got enough for few days , left after some beers and they said if I ever came back to Prague to go meet them again, I lost the address btw
so it's not illegal to sell the stuff that you know tourists could smoke/eat without warning them? I mean it clearly says it's harmful in Czech, so could make the case of trying to poison tourists
Well many stores use those “don’t smoke” because you can’t LEGALLY say “smoke this and get high.” But you can in fact get high from a lot of this fake weed. Delta 8, hhc, thc-p are all probably legal and are used on cannabis flower to achieve a burnable bud that achieves a high

I went to Prague on excursion in high school but me and my friends we buy from the street.. We see someone who might sell and we found a guy he had some hybrid skunk really good weed! He smoked a joint with us and it was a cool experience we got it like 8€ a gram he even had a scale with him😂
I don't know why the government isn't banning these shops. If weed was legal to sell, fine with me. But these terrible, ugly shops are just ruining the beauty of downtown Prague.
When I was there 7 years ago, a souvenir shop offered us weed when we buying souvenirs. We bought and it was actually real weed, dont remember the price
I ve been there, actually THC is illegal in czech republic, what is legal is HHC , it has, in my experience a similar effect of THC , so yes it makes you high , the problem is the price that is very overpriced in those stores and the fact sometimes this products are not certified, i suggest for who want to try hhc to buy online
I went there 12 years ago and tried to buy some weed from a person out on the street. They took me to an alley and showed me the product, which was some herb but not weed. When I refused to buy it, he took out a knife and I just ran to the nearest bar. It was scary.
Wouldn't surprise me if they were selling THC-A products. Similar to HHC, it's in a legal grey area but THC-A when heated up or lit on fire converts into... regular old THC. It was accidentally made legal in America a few years ago too. Before this law it wasn't a big deal, but people learned how to grow marijuana that only contains THC-A. So, basically you can buy legal weed in America now.
So many lifes was locked or marked because of one cigarette of weed. These shops save someone's life from danger. You need to understand that with it or not the costumers will supply anyway.
I think you are talking about delta 9 THC which is illegal. But delta 8 THC is legal in prague. So it might be that the products they claim have THC contain delta 8 THC which is legal. Unfortunately delta 8 THC doesn't give you that much of a high though, its even weaker than HHC.

I've been smoking for 18 years, this summer i found out about these HHC weeds, was suuuuuper skeptic about it, basicly 100% certain that it will not work since it only had 0,2% THC and was legal, Well for F sake, it reeeeaaallly worked, i could not tell a difference.
Concerning the percentage of THC (1% or 20%) - I doubt anyone really knows: not the seller, not the buyer and probably not whoever grew the weed. There is no such thing as an absolute zero percent CBD marijuana strain. CDB and THC, plus its precursors will always be there, although the ratio's are being manipulated. Claiming 22% THC requires some strong proof, if you ask me. I'm curious as to how the weed is procured in CZ. If it is "decriminalized", it usually means that by law, there's legal text *against* holding, consuming or growing weed, but the plenary aspect has been removed. *IF* you don't have more than a certain amount of grams on you (for NL it's 5, for BE it's 3). If you hold more, you'll be assumed an illegal dealer and you could be in trouble. What's more absurd about decriminalizing, like they have in the Netherlands, is that having and selling weed commercially allowed, but not growing it in large quantities (2 plants per person in a household iirc). By anyone. No business, no private persons, no one. So by law, still, growing and distributing weed to coffee shops is still punishable by law. If you ask any coffeeshop where they get their weed, they'll often tell you that leprachauns leave it at their front door, every morning :D In actuality, you could be smoking anyone's weed, despite coffeeshops in NL having serious suppliers, because they move a lot of weed. Because production and distribution of weed is still forced into shady criminality, there is absolutely no way to know what the percentage of THC or CBD is. Famous basic Dutch strains like white widow or snowball are usually the best options, whereas the more expensive "raspberry flavored" weed can be absolute trash that's sprayed to make heavier and have a bit of a taste. Everyone looks to Amsterdam as the capital of weed (I guess?), but in reality, countries like Canada and the US are slowly allowing commercial production and distribution of weed, will be the kings of the market soon enough.
Dont ever do business with guys who approach you and ask you do you want some weed. I had situation in Prague couple years ago where me and my friend (both 18 at the time) almost got scamed for 80euros by some random guys who approached us and seemed friendly. Thy gave us tea instead of weed wich we noticed after like a minute. My instant response was to chase them down and catch them. At the end we caught them both and needed to use force to get our money back. It was in some kind of underground tunnel wich was little terrifying because i thought more of their friends will come so soon as we took our money back we run the hell away from that tunnel xD

Well honest guide is very famous in czechia. Therefore, if more channels like these were set up, they would have a lot of locals either backing them up for being truthful or showing their scamming.

That's hilarious how green and ridiculous they have to make their storefront. I live in a legal state, and our dispensaries don't really look much different than other stores on the outside.
In Canada some look normal. Or get creative and have symbols and store name with goofy slang. But still they blend in with the surrounding stores. But some have to go all out and put weed leafs and CANNABIS or DISPENSARY in giant letters on the outside. Only requirement seems to be, all glass has to covered up with that clear privacy shield stuff, so you can't see in from the outside.
American dispensaries in your average American town or city aren't really aimed at trying to attract tourists like a store in the most touristy area of Prague is, it's not really comparable. I'm sure if there were dispensaries in time square they would also look similar to this. The dispensaries in the touristy areas of Amsterdam also look kind of like this.
I just returned from Prague about 3 hours ago and I am appalled at the number of swindlers and scammers. 99% of the inns and restaurants are scammers - terrible food, hidden costs, tip added without informing. What shocked me is that without asking, even in intimate and dignified places, they pour 2 or 3 servings of wine - the price on the receipt is striking. The city is beautiful, but the authorities need to do something about the crooks and the mafia, because it's disgusting. If one comes from a country where there is no thievery and fraud, believes people and trusts their goodwill, one will be strongly surprised.

I went Prague in November 2000, and then again in sept 2004. Even in that 4 year period, it started to go downhill from a architectural wonder with a chance of innocence, to a tourist trap. It was really noticeable. Sounds like over the last 18 years, it is trying to become sort of Ansterdamn
What don't you get? It's a great city and that's why you and everyone else has gone there. You are responsible for making it a tourist trap. Places change over time. Apparently at one point in time, timbouctou was quite the place to be.

People actually go to Amsterdam to get high and enjoy all those things, yet the city is very well contained, clean and rather friendly. Prague is becoming absolutely unregulated garbage. Tourists didn't cause the historic city to be covered with weed shops and plastic everything, locals did.
We literally just got back from Prague 2 days ago (and your videos were extremely helpful, thank you!). I'm glad I did my research ahead of time before falling for this trap. The one shop I did go into the owner was at least honest with me that his "weed" pens were just HHC.

Ive consumed so many diff variants of cannabis that use delta 8, delta 10, or other things; and they give you a very similar high, but usually less long lastin of a high and it cant get you as high; like, youre unlikely to hit couchlocked lvls of highness Delta 9 THC has the best effect by far, but the other options still work. Heck, even CBD will get you its own kind of high, but without any brain fog; just a generalised euphoric sensation, which is also even more true when you consume it for medical reasons... No one's gunna know what that means but so there not gunna put it on their main sign because it would just confuse people and most people don't know its very similar to THC and would get turned away by it. I watched the whole video and this was the only video I've seen by this guy that I haven't fully agreed with. It just seemed really controlling to take the stance that it was bad or immoral if the weed was real. This is EXACTLY why I’m glad cannabis has been legalized in Canada and have been regulated. Sure, the illegal market is there, but nothing feels better than going into a government dispensary and getting something you know isn’t tainted or falsely advertised.

There are quite tight regulations how the buildings should look like in Prague. Imagine you live in a forgotten street far from any tourist - You want plastic window frames to better insulate? Was in Prague last week and the amount of stores that sell weed is overwhelming. We were approached multiple times by some guys that drive around on bikes and questioned us if we want to buy some. It is a real shame that a beautiful city like this is ruined with these tourist traps that don't add anything to the historic value and the beauty of Prague.

If it's not regulated, then they can lie about how much is actually in it. And since it's for tourists, they don't have to worry about it not doing anything, since they are not catering to return customers.
A tourist trap is anywhere that sells something for a marked up price, who relies on foreigners for business. If there are no locals around, that's a red flag. Cause that means no returning customers.
Dealers rely on return customers. So I would find them more reliable if I wanted to smoke while in another country.
I went to Prague with my girlfriend and we decided to try the HHC gummybears. We took two each after asking many times if we would get high with that, well we definitely were high, maybe too much tbh. They were very kind to us and even explained the difference between hhc and thc because we didn’t know it. Also they didn’t treat us like stupid tourists and gave us informations about what we were consuming. I guess it heavily depends on the kindness of the employers in the shop, because i also remember some other shops we went into and we felt like they forcefully wanted to sell us everything. Btw i think we paid like 14 euros for two gummybears each, but with just one you’ll definitely feel high

For me HHC gummies don't really do much, I ate 200mg the other day and was like a 3/10 stoned at the maximum. When I use a HHC vape cart it gets me to about a 5/10 and I can't get any higher than that no matter how many puffs I take. It's really strange to me because everyone feels it stronger. I feel like a better cannabinoid is HHC-P that one gets me to an 11/10 stoned it's so damn strong.

Most of the expensive prices you were talking about are only meant for tourists. When a Czech person walks in and speaks czech, they´ll give you a "normal" price. I remember last time my friends from the UK were in Prague, we went to buy a few beers in one of these shops because it was like 2AM and the pub we were heading into was quite far so we went to purchase five beers and the cashier was like 500CZK. So I started to talk in czech that that´s a ridiculous price and the cashier was like "Oh... you are Czech, you get it cheaper" and the final price was like 250CZK.

Like I am already enriching you by buying a product or a service from you and would probably leave a nice tip as well but on top of that they have to upsell me by like 2 or 3 times the actual price. I'd spend two nights in each before returning to Chicago. On one trip, on my last day, I bought a kilo for Maui Wowie for $200. It came as a hard compressed brick in a Tupperware snaplid box that might hold 6 or sandwiches. One edge was sticky because resin had leaked out of poorly closed seam.
It wouldn't fit in my carry on and I traveled without check in luggage. The overhead bins were full. So I rode the four hour flight with the box of weed on my lap or on the floor under the seat ahead of me.
I know that today it's not possible to imagine a world without xrays, dogs, etc - but it did exist. You could walk up to the ticket desk ten minute before a flight and buy a one way ticket for cash. No ID need. Just give them any name you wanted.

I first went to Prague in 2005. Lovely place, very intimate. By 2007, it had become overrun with tourists. The last time I went was in 2016 and it was an absolute nightmare. Like a cheap Disneyland for Americans, full of crowds.
Be careful in these shops if buying cbd. They place 2 or 3 products in front of you with clearly 'krona' prices, then they ask you if you pay by card. If you say yes and then choose a product you discover (later) that they have replaced the krona product with a product with the 'euro' symbol on it . So your 220 krona (for example) purchase, becomes 220 euro. If you go back to complain suddenly the boss is phoned to tell you to fuck off, and if you persist suddenly a huge knuckle dragging guy will walk in the door to threaten you. Best advice is just do not purchase anything, do not support these stores.

These shops are just embarrassing for Prague.. I hadn't been in Prague 1 for a while and took my visiting friend on a little tour. To be honest it is cringe-worthy how much tat and rubbish is being punted around everything from these weed shops, trdelniks, sweet shops etc.. We stopped just off Staromesto Namesti and bought Klobasa... This was also overpriced lukewarm and bad quality.
Prague is a beautiful city, I don't understand how the local authorities even allow these dreadful shops to open.

I can almost guarantee that a lot of these stores are selling real THC weed. It's illegal to sell weed in The Netherlands but you still see coffee shops everywhere, the cops just tolerate it. The same type of thing is happening in Prague. Even the stores that aren't selling THC weed are selling HHC weed, which gets you high just like normal weed does.
I was here touristing the other week and these stores made it easy to tell which areas of the city weren't worth visiting lol

I had the same question when I was in Prague a few weeks ago. I asked a Czech friend if weed was legal there and he said no. I was confused till I see this video.
Idk there's a good amount of false advertising in dispensaries and I'm not completely impressed with what there allow producers to get away with. Overall simply a worse product compared to the craft cannabis/home grown scene, illegal market is a little bit hit/miss but Im always getting better quality and bang for ur buck from street weed, it just smokes alot closer to how organic home grown does, it's not irradiated, usually not sprayed but it's not hard to tell, where dispo nugs are almost always sprayed in my experience, or they just dry dusty chalk consistency, smokes too fast and harsh, Overall i think the legal market has been most successful in giving the illegal market a bar to outperform while the legal market focuses on "cheap"/convenience factors

I was also in Prague two weeks ago and wo bought edibles which were thc and hhc and both made us high. I wouldn’t recommend weed buds but edibles are the way to go if you wanna get high. We bought them in a shop under the carls bridge on the northern end of it and it’s about 300 crowns for 3 x 30mg. Just for those people that want to get high but not get scammed!!

I was in that same store he went in at around 6:00 minutes. I bought the gummies that were up on the screen, and they did exactly what I wanted them to do. They made me feel more relaxed, in a very subtle way.
I was there in December. First time back in 10 years. Kind of disappointing to see how the city had changed so much in many different ways...and the cannabis shops everywhere was kind of a let down.

I' was in Prague back in 2015 on a 7 day trip. As soon as i' got out a taxi and step my foot in the center area some dude came to me and offered me all kinds of drugs. I' bought only weed and it was high quality. I' was looking for it so i' found it right away. As i'was walking down some square in the center area i' couldn't believe that street dudes(mostly black dudes) were offering me all kinds of stuff by yelling across the street to me while the cops were right there between us and they just sit in the police car minding their own...If you ask me,Prague is very liberal when it comes to weed and smoking in public,i' was enjoying my joint everywhere i' went and apsolutely nobody cared not even the cops.

It's illegal to grow, it's illegal to carry it, and it's illegal to sell. However, when it's sold by a licensed coffee shop it's "decriminalised". There's no law on how this is legal, but it's technically not legal.
But if you carry less than 5 gram in public, and the police finds it, they let you get away with it, but it all depends on their mood. They can still screw you over, but nobody really does it.
You cannot legally grow the plant, so you should not be able to get this plant into your shop. And they will fine or arrest you.

You are allowed to have 4 plants, you can legally walk around with an ounce of the stuff, and there are pot shops everywhere, but the pot shops only sell CBD because its illegal to sell Marijuana in Virginia aside from medical dispenserys which are few and far between, and our idiot governor just banned the sale of delta (other than 9) stuff to "protect the children" despite the fact that kids aint even allowed into the stores where the stuff is sold. Because of this, most people still buy weed off the streets from the same dealers they got it from before it was legalized. If you come to Virginia, you will smell it everywhere there are other people, and there is a good chance somone will approach you on a busy street offering to sell you some. The funniest/saddest thing is that we are bordered by multiple states and in some of those states, you can legally buy Marijuana, while in other states, you will go to prison just for having traces of it on you. The US legal system can be a bit of a clusterf**k somtimes.

I went three times last year and the third occasion I stayed in Zaandsvoort and the weed at hunters coffee shop was far superior to that you get in Amsterdam. I was considering prague so I appreciate the heads up about the weed situation.

Amsterdam is tourists quality and prices, other cities mostly offer better price/quality (The Hague, Rotterdam, Delft for example ) and i bet zandvoort coule be also included but i never been there 😂
There is no better place then Spain, the best tasting and quality you can find in Europe to decent prices.. Netherlands is crap compared to Spain, or let's say specific Amsterdam, tourist traps wherever you go.. But I have great memories in Enschede, super nice quality and not so overpriced

so i was looking for weed in the heart of prague, call a friend he drops an addy and I pull up there, black door blacked out windows front door is unlocked, proceeded to go in and go down 3 stairs sets in complete darkness with the exception of a red light bulb on each set of stairs, got to the bottom of the stairs, faded reggae music playing and smelled like weed I opened the door, 3 big friendly black dudes ask me what was i doing there and I explained Ithat i was looking for good weed and beer, they attended my alcohol and thc needs got enough for few days , left after some beers and they said if I ever came back to Prague to go meet them again, I lost the address btw

Well many stores use those “don’t smoke” because you can’t LEGALLY say “smoke this and get high.” But you can in fact get high from a lot of this fake weed. Delta 8, hhc, thc-p are all probably legal and are used on cannabis flower to achieve a burnable bud that achieves a high

I went to Prague on excursion in high school but me and my friends we buy from the street.. We see someone who might sell and we found a guy he had some hybrid skunk really good weed! He smoked a joint with us and it was a cool experience we got it like 8€ a gram he even had a scale with him😂
I don't know why the government isn't banning these shops. If weed was legal to sell, fine with me. But these terrible, ugly shops are just ruining the beauty of downtown Prague.

I ve been there, actually THC is illegal in czech republic, what is legal is HHC , it has, in my experience a similar effect of THC , so yes it makes you high , the problem is the price that is very overpriced in those stores and the fact sometimes this products are not certified, i suggest for who want to try hhc to buy online
I went there 12 years ago and tried to buy some weed from a person out on the street. They took me to an alley and showed me the product, which was some herb but not weed. When I refused to buy it, he took out a knife and I just ran to the nearest bar. It was scary.

Wouldn't surprise me if they were selling THC-A products. Similar to HHC, it's in a legal grey area but THC-A when heated up or lit on fire converts into... regular old THC. It was accidentally made legal in America a few years ago too. Before this law it wasn't a big deal, but people learned how to grow marijuana that only contains THC-A. So, basically you can buy legal weed in America now.

I think you are talking about delta 9 THC which is illegal. But delta 8 THC is legal in prague. So it might be that the products they claim have THC contain delta 8 THC which is legal. Unfortunately delta 8 THC doesn't give you that much of a high though, its even weaker than HHC.
The other reason is tourist shops are cash rich businesses 😢

I've been smoking for 18 years, this summer i found out about these HHC weeds, was suuuuuper skeptic about it, basicly 100% certain that it will not work since it only had 0,2% THC and was legal, Well for F sake, it reeeeaaallly worked, i could not tell a difference.
i bet those store owners aren't native czechs. and the amount of the stores are also saying this is a massive money laundering operation.
Concerning the percentage of THC (1% or 20%) - I doubt anyone really knows: not the seller, not the buyer and probably not whoever grew the weed. There is no such thing as an absolute zero percent CBD marijuana strain. CDB and THC, plus its precursors will always be there, although the ratio's are being manipulated. Claiming 22% THC requires some strong proof, if you ask me.
I'm curious as to how the weed is procured in CZ. If it is "decriminalized", it usually means that by law, there's legal text *against* holding, consuming or growing weed, but the plenary aspect has been removed. *IF* you don't have more than a certain amount of grams on you (for NL it's 5, for BE it's 3). If you hold more, you'll be assumed an illegal dealer and you could be in trouble.
What's more absurd about decriminalizing, like they have in the Netherlands, is that having and selling weed commercially allowed, but not growing it in large quantities (2 plants per person in a household iirc). By anyone. No business, no private persons, no one. So by law, still, growing and distributing weed to coffee shops is still punishable by law. If you ask any coffeeshop where they get their weed, they'll often tell you that leprachauns leave it at their front door, every morning :D
In actuality, you could be smoking anyone's weed, despite coffeeshops in NL having serious suppliers, because they move a lot of weed.
Because production and distribution of weed is still forced into shady criminality, there is absolutely no way to know what the percentage of THC or CBD is. Famous basic Dutch strains like white widow or snowball are usually the best options, whereas the more expensive "raspberry flavored" weed can be absolute trash that's sprayed to make heavier and have a bit of a taste.
Everyone looks to Amsterdam as the capital of weed (I guess?), but in reality, countries like Canada and the US are slowly allowing commercial production and distribution of weed, will be the kings of the market soon enough.
Dont ever do business with guys who approach you and ask you do you want some weed. I had situation in Prague couple years ago where me and my friend (both 18 at the time) almost got scamed for 80euros by some random guys who approached us and seemed friendly. Thy gave us tea instead of weed wich we noticed after like a minute. My instant response was to chase them down and catch them. At the end we caught them both and needed to use force to get our money back. It was in some kind of underground tunnel wich was little terrifying because i thought more of their friends will come so soon as we took our money back we run the hell away from that tunnel xD

In Canada some look normal. Or get creative and have symbols and store name with goofy slang. But still they blend in with the surrounding stores.
But some have to go all out and put weed leafs and CANNABIS or DISPENSARY in giant letters on the outside.
Only requirement seems to be, all glass has to covered up with that clear privacy shield stuff, so you can't see in from the outside.
American dispensaries in your average American town or city aren't really aimed at trying to attract tourists like a store in the most touristy area of Prague is, it's not really comparable. I'm sure if there were dispensaries in time square they would also look similar to this. The dispensaries in the touristy areas of Amsterdam also look kind of like this.
There are some Cannabis stores that are former banks & other such stores.

I just returned from Prague about 3 hours ago and I am appalled at the number of swindlers and scammers. 99% of the inns and restaurants are scammers - terrible food, hidden costs, tip added without informing. What shocked me is that without asking, even in intimate and dignified places, they pour 2 or 3 servings of wine - the price on the receipt is striking. The city is beautiful, but the authorities need to do something about the crooks and the mafia, because it's disgusting. If one comes from a country where there is no thievery and fraud, believes people and trusts their goodwill, one will be strongly surprised.

I went Prague in November 2000, and then again in sept 2004. Even in that 4 year period, it started to go downhill from a architectural wonder with a chance of innocence, to a tourist trap. It was really noticeable. Sounds like over the last 18 years, it is trying to become sort of Ansterdamn

Delta 9 THC has the best effect by far, but the other options still work.
Heck, even CBD will get you its own kind of high, but without any brain fog; just a generalised euphoric sensation, which is also even more true when you consume it for medical reasons... As you end up gettin that euphoria combined with the euphoria of turnin down the chronic pain or turn down the sensory overload

No one's gunna know what that means but so there not gunna put it on their main sign because it would just confuse people and most people don't know its very similar to THC and would get turned away by it. I watched the whole video and this was the only video I've seen by this guy that I haven't fully agreed with. It just seemed really controlling to take the stance that it was bad or immoral if the weed was real. This is EXACTLY why I’m glad cannabis has been legalized in Canada and have been regulated. Sure, the illegal market is there, but nothing feels better than going into a government dispensary and getting something you know isn’t tainted or falsely advertised.
