Cannon knows Smith has a rock solid case.
Her job was to *DELAY* and that happend. Now she is waiting for the promotion to SCROTUS as Nr 7 of the corrupt members.
So does scotus so that's why they gave him immunity so she could dismiss the case. She was waiting for scouts to rule knowing what was coming. The entire bung of them are all in cahoots. Sickening. They are part of the religious right/Federalist Society who have wanted someone like Trump for years. Someone who would do whatever he wanted and they would allow him as long as he did what they wanted - Project 2025. When Trump came along they were salivating. He was their useful idiot and will do all they can to keep him in power - making him king. This election is vital that we beat them or we can kiss democracy goodbye..

Cannon only knows what Thomas has been telling and instructing her to do.
We saw just how inept and inexperienced she really is during the Special Master Case that she took on earlier. Cannon ruled unlawfully on a number of occasions and even had her own Special Master openly questioning some of the things she was saying and doing.
Ultimately she ended up having the case wound up after the Eleventh Circuit ruled that she had no standing to have even heard the matter.
Since then Cannon has managed to avoid making the same basic errors, careful to only make rulings through the use of Paperless Orders, thereby preventing Jack Smith from being able to appeal until now.
She is a walking and talking menace to the legal system and an embarrassment to the judiciary.
But as a tool (to be crafted by Thomas), she proved herself useful in stalling the Mar-a-Lago Documents case until Thomas felt comfortable that he has the numbers to kill this matter when it inevitably arrives before the Supreme Court.
Smith might well have a victory in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals over Cannon on this latest matter.
But Trump will appeal any adverse finding, safe in the knowledge that Thomas and the rest of the corrupt Conservative majority will once again step in to save his ass.

She dismissed the case late enough to prevent reversal before election, but early enough to give time Trump to brag about it on the campaign
Is there any chance that Cannon will receive any repercussions for her handling of the case? She really deserves to be removed from the bench.
I think there is about a 5% chance she is removed from this case, and about 0% that she is removed from the bench. This is because our justice system assumes that judges are unbiased and has no real way of dealing with it when they are.
I don't think she should even be assigned to traffic court if that existed in the Federal judicial system.

Cannon was working up this dismissal for at least 3 months before it was delivered -- which explains all the clown show judicial maneuverings that she presided over. Her bias is breathtaking for its transparency...

If president's had immunity from prosecution from crimes they commit while in office, why did Gerald Ford pardon Nixon?
Many felt that the pardon continuined the Watergate coverup by preventing the possible indictment of the former President that could have provided answers to lingering questions. Among the overwhelming negative responses from the public was the idea that the pardon was part of a “secret deal” between Ford and Nixon.

Guessing that Jack's team has been working on this appeal all along, so was ready to go.
Just refiling the case without a special counsel will only end up with Cannon again. Appealing allows to move for her recusal.
Its a separate request for recusal of a judge, but the time to do it is situations like this where there is an appeal of a significant decision.

How can Judge Cannon make a judgment to dismiss based on a concurring opinion, not a legal judgment? Decades of special council precedent, and she throws it out? She just sealed her fate with this judgment. The 11the circuit will overturn this and remove her frome the case. Period.
