- Welcome to Emakoko Lodge, a camp nobody ever talks about mainly due to his location. Follow along in this Safari vlog and let's see if this luxury camp is actually worth it!
Why is this nie looking safari lodge overlooked you asked? Well, it is located within city lines. Yes, you read that right, lions are in town. Nairobi is the only capital in the world with a national park which is the Nairobi National Park.
Once at the camp, you are fully immerse into the wild and would never realized how close to the city you are if you didn't know it. The cottage was very nice and spacious, the food delicious and the game drives thrilling.
This safari camp is ideal for people our are doing a 24 hours in Kenya in case of a layover for example. You would be able to experience a true Kenyan Safari without leaving Nairobi and missing your next flight.
On top of loving this lodge, during our game drive, we were lucky enough to see lions, rhinos, giraffes, hippopotamus and so much more making this short stay in Nairobi National Park even better!

Chefs should have already realized that dave is a typical Kenyan by now. His plate should always be coming full and overflowing.
My appetite is always huge when on safari. Your plate should have had more food on it, Dave. It is inconvenient and a bit embarrassing to ask for more food. A guest should never be put in that predicament.

Not sure if you will believe me, but when your vlog title said 'without leaving town', I did think of Nairobi National Park, however wasn't sure due to the hidden camp you visited and shared. So, so glad to know Nairobi hasn't completely lost its wilderness despite the developments. It was practically a jungle during my times there. Thanks again for sharing. Love that brother! They must know we are on this earth, not only to survive, but mostly to thrive. There is no thriving on baby morsels! Love this place though, except that I saw a tiny, child crocodile there on the deck! T check out if its a waterborne infection. Wish you rapid recovery baby sis. You guys should remember to wear your parachutes next time you jump onto such rides. T means doing rallies to get her comfortable. Great tour!

I think I knew from the start that was Nairobi Nat’l park pretty early. That was my dad’s favorite place when I was a little kid growing up in Kenya. Hope the 1st lady feels better. AND, good for you guys for doing own Safari’s. Save that $$$$

I had a very different experience when booking for a Kenyan couple when lockdown was lifted last year (2020). They confirmed availability, asked us to pay only for them to turn our guests away. In my years in the industry, never have I had such a difficult time - they were so arrogant and rigid. Probably the changed for the better.
