Yeah I do agree the change in playstyle from legacy to rework is a huge jump in pace, and it takes some time to get used to. Some people may not like it this way, but in the end it's a more enjoyable experience that doesn't feel like a drag. Also, different from legacy, rework is more based on neutral game rather than long thought out combos, that's why mechanics like block break and armor break are so rewarding (and grant you the ability to do any combos you want for 3 seconds). Apart from it, we released it because we thought base form alone had enough combat depth to have a decent combat system. It's difficult to see the optimal use in all the moves, ESPECIALLY dragon throw when compared to legacy. Dragon throw in rework is more of a directional knockback rather than a stun, so you have more control over where your opponents are going (which combos perfectly with a wall or twin dragon shot).
