- After fighting all season long the Seattle Mariners will unfortunately come up short in the 2023 regular season. With their path to the playoffs clear the Mariners could not get the job done and clinch a playoff berth for the second year in a row. A long offseason awaits us.

The Sonics have been to the playoffs more times than the Mariners and they haven’t existed in 15 years. Let that sink in…
Sonics (1967-2008): 22 playoff appearances
Mariners (1977-present): 5 playoff appearances
Half the NBA makes it, NBA you can win with 2 or more great players
The wild card with 2 teams didn't even start until the 2000's. There's been teams that have won over 100 games and still missed the playoffs in the MLB. They didn't even introduce the 3 team wild card until recently and Seattle wouldn't have made the playoffs in 2022 without it. Meanwhile 8 teams in each NBA conference make it. You could have a losing record and still make the playoffs in the NBA
@@reed8136 in that same time span (1977-today), the Yankees have been to the post season 40+ times, the Red Sox over 20 times and the Dodgers over 30 times.
Organizations that are competitive consistently. Yet the Mariners still haven’t figured out how to consistently put a winning team together.
@@tonyangelo9109 u really defending the worst franchise in history? Straight up dunce.
@@kamman1374 calling them the worst franchise in history is a big reach
KC 1986-2014 no postseason
Washington 1982-2012 no postseason
And comparing Seattle a mid to low market team for the first 20-30 years of existence to the yankees dodgers and Red Sox the 3 teams with the largest payrolls is insane. You can't just put numbers side by side with the best teams of that era and call Seattle the worst when there's been way more dysfunctional baseball organizations now and in history than Seattle.
Like I could pull up a struggling NFL team and compare them to the 90's cowboys or 80's 9ers and come to the conclusion that they're the worst because of that but why would I compare a team to the best teams of all time and call them the worst it doesn't make sense when there's obviously been way worse teams and longer droughts
11-17 in september. They only had to go 500. Hell even just 4 games under 500, and theyre in.
After watching all the mariners games this season, it's hard to not recognize how bad Scott Servais really was at making decisions regarding bullpen choices and pinch hitting. We lost at least 16 games solely based off of that. Nitpicking aside, our bullpen got worse after the deadline. Offense is boom or bust, and that's just not sustainable. We need a big signing this off-season. We can't waste our talented core by not upgrading a few spots. Their window is now.
Exactly. I used to think that Rooftop guy was harsh in constantly criticizing Scott Servais’ decision making, but he’s absolutely spot on. Rojas and Canzone were nice acquisitions on their own, but not necessarily worth loosing the most solid bullpen piece that couldn’t adequately be replaced. The holes that Rojas and Canzone filled were ones that they should’ve had filled by opening day, not after wasting half a season middling at 500.
I agree, dude can’t manage a bullpen to save his life
Whine and cry perennial losers. Seattle Mourners, a mess just like your city.
I don’t think Scott is the problem. They just didn’t have the lineup depth to make a run without France and Geno playing well. Hopefully they can get Ohtani and at that point they will be WS contenders. But I’m guessing it will be another get veterans on one year deals and hope they aren’t 20 wrc+ players because the ownership is cheap.
Pitching was absolutely horrendous, starters to the bullpen. That is why they failed in September
I just wanna say, thanks for all the content you guys put out through the season, will always be here to support the channel, thank you Joe and Colton
Please post content this offseason about moves and stuff about the mariners and mlb in general. Your content is so good!!
let''s go STROS!!!!! Through all the hardships of losing 3 starting pitchers, 3 star players, and our GM before the season even really started, we've managed to win the division by playing our hearts out. It couldn't have been done with any other team but the Astros.
From an Astros fan, this organization has so much class. Most of us might brag but we love the competition. I would rather see the Mariners win before any other division. See yall next season.
The problem isn't that the mariners don't have the talent. The ceiling of this team is a World Series contender. The problem is that the floor is lower than the basement. You can't have guys like Mike Ford or multiple Dylan Moores on your team and win in the playoffs. You need quality big leaguers as depth pieces and all we have are AAAA never-gonna-be's
A good farm system is key
How can the ceiling be a WS contender, half of our lineup wouldn't even cut it on teams like the Asstros, Rangers, or Braves
Mike Ford is an elite base runner wtf r u talking about man
Mike Ford has been doing better than Ty lately.
They don’t have the talent, who are you kidding. The players don’t have the playoff drive, managers don’t have the ability to make the right calls when everything is on the line, the front office doesn’t care about winning a World Series. The only people who care about a WS are the fans.
The game that gets me, that will stick with me all off season.. the loss to the angels when we had the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the 9th in a tie game and didn't score then immediately lost in extras. That is our season in a microcosm
It feels this season has been a massive disappointment. To heck with it, this team has been worse than the 2021 M’s. This is for a couple reasons.
1. They went cheap in the offseason
2. They forgot how to be clutch
3. The pitching is thin in depth
4. This team couldn’t find its rhythm until August, and became exhausted in the last 10 games
5. The AL got a lot better this year
Feels like a punch in the gut. Simply an above average team, not a Playoff Team. Please don’t take 20 years to make it again.
more like getting kicked in the nuts!
“Simply a above average team”.
That what happens when you have a above average owner, paying average money, who kept the above average GM and Manager.
The team played like this. They have below average ownership tbh
6. Paul Sewald 😭
two biggest problem IMHO is the front office being more worried about year under contract then quality players (no disrespect to Canzone and Rojas) but trading your closer just because you only had him under control for a season and a half was stupid. It set us up with no experienced closer. Then add Scott Servies 's poor game management, baseball is situational but you also have to look at the quality of your team and play the best players on any given night. And I will also call out the players themselves for not playing up to their potential. after August they seem to have gotten to relaxed until they were backed into the corner then pressed to much, too many swings at bad pitches especially early in the count cost them big time.
If you’re a Seattle fan, I’m very glad that we don’t have to face you. This coming from an Astros fan…
As a fellow Astros fan. The way our team has played it is a miracle they are in the playoffs. If they make it to the World Series, they won't have enough pitching to beat the Braves or the Dodgers. Honestly, I don't think any American League team will beat either one of those teams in the World Series.
The Mariners were no threat to anyone.
@@thomassaudia6409 Not true, Astros have suffered the worst injuries than any other team and its not comparable. It is a miracle the Astros made it yes, but from performance, not in the slightest. The Astros performed better than any other team would with such debilitating injuries. I mean, we lost 3 starting pitchers before the 1st month of the season even started, and we lost Altuve for 1/2 the season, Brantley for 4/5 of the season, and Alvarez, Kyle Tucker, Chas McCormick and a few others were all hit-and-miss. It truly is a miracle the Astros won 90 from how many injuries the Astros faced.
Anyone who thinks this team has the offensive talent of the rangers Astros is daydreaming. Team can't consistently generate offense with the 2nd (geno), 3rd(teo) and 9th(julio) strikeout hitters in the middle of its lineup. Quality offensive toys cost money!!
Just a reminder that our front office thought that Teoscar in the off-season and not doing shit before the trade deadline would be enough. Pathetic like always 🤣🤣🤣
_What do you mean, they flipped our closer for prospects! Everyone loved 2021, right?_
Oh well, hard to be too disappointed when you expect it. At least they didn't implode right then and there.
Hopefully this choke job will be the wake-up call that sends Scott packing! Thanks for all the great coverage throughout this season.
As an Angels fan, i was really rooting for you guys, it has to be one of us to take out the astros and change this trend of astros demolishing the AL West every year. Im an angels fan looking from the outside, i cant imagine the gut punch it is to give the fans hope to the last game.
The 2023 Mariners gave it their all, i know you guys are coming back in 2024 stronger, i wish the Halos had this momentum going into the off season and spring training, we're completely deflated over here.
Take care and see yall in spring!
Thanks for rooting for us, yep as a Ms fan I feel the same way about the stros as you do. Our only hope is the rangers finally slay the evil empire
@@Michael-uu7zq Astros are truly #Ready2Reign. Astros reign the division once again!!!!! :)

Hope you don't hate the M's too much after we take Ohtani from you. 😂 okay, just dreaming here, but with the big O as our DH, we would have made the playoffs this year. And I believe he would do the same next year as well.
How bout the fact their best minor league pitcher sat in AAA all year? Dipoto picks his horses and will ride them regardless of outcome. Stupid
Scott, our hitting coaches, our inconsistent pitching and hitting are the main issues. Get Soto!!! And snell and we chilling.
It was a crazy September for sure. Nothing seemed to pan out the way it was expected. Made for some great baseball late in the season but it sure is hard on the ulcers. Frankly, the Mariners had a better team last year. I expected them to make some moves to improve their position this year, but that didn't seem to happen. Both the Rangers and Astros made some key changes at the end and it paid off. Astros would not be in the playoffs if they hadn't gotten Verlander. He made the difference for sure and pushed them over the top. Mariners have got to spring some cash and find their "Verlander." Somewhat tongue in cheek, there is always next year!
Well, just hope the Orioles or Marlins can do something, their fans have suffered too. After that, could careless
@@tonyr.3435 Maybe they can make Cal Ripken proud. Oh well, go M’s 😞
I'm pulling for the rangers. Only positive that can come from this postseason for me is Bochy winning a fourth ring.
What a joke of a franchise.
Controlled their own destiny with 10 games to go, with all 10 vs the two teams ahead of them.
Really just needed to play .500 baseball and they probably get in.
Instead?
They go 3-6 and choke.
Worst franchise in all of baseball.
The ONLY current MLB team since 1977 to not win a pennant.
Absolute joke.
The organization only has itself to blame. Everyone.
I strongly urge the fans to not give this organization any of your money until the field a good championship winning product.
Never been to watch an M's game live since Ichiro played. Never again. It's a cursed organization. 20 years of no playoffs, well here's to another 20...
That won’t work. Ownership is the way it is. It’s best to just accept that or find another team to root for
At least it's fixable if they want to spend money but nothing will ever top Jon Schneider passing on Jalen Carter. I hope that colosal draft mistake puts him out the door when the franchise is sold. What a pussy. The Seahawks will never have a pass rush until Adams and diggs are off the books and they can afford a blue chip guy. Unbelievable.
Too late, they're already one of the most profitable teams in MLB. It's the right idea though.
The funniest part is mariner fans are actually convinced ohtani a guy who just spent 7 years losing in a sorry organization is gonna voluntarily make that same decision again and go to Seattle a team that has never appeared in a WS and has made the playoffs one time in the last 20+ years.. also playing with Jrod isn’t gonna sway him considering he just spent 7 years losing with Mike trout .. he’s a dodger
As a Jays fan here, I'm very happy for the Mariners season ending before ours this year :) Still tough tho for your team man I feel your pain
What happened to Castillo? Choke...Where was Julios bat? Choke
Bottomline is ...fire scott servais... I watched it, they had no emotion tonight
Fire Scotty bozo and then bring in another clown just like always.
Servais needs to Leave ..... this guy main excuse ...."we just didn't play ball like we should " your the damn coach !! make them play or sit them out asap !!!!
You get a follow not only for a cool start to the video (cool as in the cinematography) but also for that HG/SS wallpaper! Pokémon for Life!
We need to improve during the off-season Cal said it best.
Can we appreciate how in 2021, dipoto gave away our best reliever mid way through the season to get a prospect. In 2022, benched our best reliever in the post season so he could be traded for a 1 year rental. And this year traded our best reliever mid way through the season for more prospects.
When you think about it, we traded our 2021 playoffs, winker, and our 2023 playoffs to get rojas.
As a Kyle Seager probably said, "It never changes, they don't care about winning"
Jerry Dipoto really goofed up at the trade deadline. He gave away our top reliever. Think about all the close games we had. Surely we would have won several of those with Sewald = Playoffs! We also lost games because Scott Servais has issues with the pitching staff.
Ms blew it! They had control of their own destiny… smh. Also this is on the FO for not giving them enough ammo to move the needle or get over the hump. What a wasted season.
The problem always has been complacency. They accept “ok” and have always. I’ve been watching for over 30 years. Same attitude. Can’t be ok with ok.
Thanks for the coverage this season!
Stanton is lying that he wants a championship. He's already happy he has chumps in seats making him $$$. Dipoto has stated many times he's handcuffed to SPEND. Got rid of Sewald for this three hacks? Hats off to the Rangers. They outplayed us. Damn Luis Castillo too, of all games to choke, this was the one he chose.
That’s the ultimate problem, it’s Stanton
_He's winning his championship, in profitability_
We need improvements to this team. The lack of activity at the trade deadline has come back to bite us. Need contact hitters!
Julio looked like a hot dumpster fire at the plate. Swinging at everything. 1-21 with nine strikeouts against the Rangers. When the "superstar" doesn't perform the team will have a hard time playing catch-up.
Imagine starting a season with "dh by committee" featuring la stella and Cooper hummell..thats how cheap management is
Scott Servais is to blame. His mismanagement and lack of "game feel" cost the Ms at least 10 games over the course of the season.
Not spending any more money on the Mariners until they spend the money necessary to put a championship team on the field. Tired of scrub players year after year.
thanks for all the vids this season. Pathetic september. wait til' next year i guess...
Julio totally shut down in the cold month of September. He is a warm weather performer.
If he goes home to warm DR for winter ball, it will exacerbate his problem in the MLB.
He should stay in Seattle for the winter, train, and acclimate to the cold.
The whole team likes to do that garbage, only playing well in summer. That don’t work in Seattle.
It's doesn't even get that cold, just depressingly gray and damp. Some Seattleites never get used to it. Not that cold weather training wouldn't help J-Rod, but it's a sign that we need a better team surrounding him. Hopefully Kelenic comes back next year and proves to be his cold-weather counterpart again though.
and were stuck with Servais for 4 more years beause hes signed up for that and this cheap ownership isnt eating his salary.Depoto isnt without blame either
Just my observation as a M's fan who likes the game of baseball.
I like the front three of JP, Julio, and Cal. Other than that though, and maybe Teoscar, I think everyone else can/should be replaced or swtitched up. Ty hasn't had a great season and seems to be the exact opposite of clutch. He went what, like 2 months without a homer? And Geno isnt the power hitter he was two years ago. I love the squad and the chemistry they have, but its time to pay for a few big bats.
Any thoughts?
👍
Ty was one of Jerry's better bargain bin moves and shouldn't be thought of as a perennial All-Star candidate like some seem to do, and we got lucky with Geno (Winker was the big piece in that trade). Pitching shouldn't be hard to figure out once all the injuries heal, but it's time to stop treating this like 2021 (that Sewald trade still ticks me off) and sign+trade for impact instead of value.
As for Teo, don't expect him to stay. The FO did him dirty in his 2023 arbitration, they may as well have directly told him he was a rental. Frankly we ought to expect them to just plug in Kelenic & Canzone so we're pleasantly surprised at any bats they happen to acquire, but then again now's the time to move people like Trammell & France, so who knows.
18th in payroll but 1st in profit, Stanton does not deserve our money!
I honestly cant even be that mad at the front office. I still think Teo is a great move and i hope we keep him around. I liked the idea of Wong and it think we were all surprised he was so bad. It only looks bad in hindsight. Then at the deadline they made a great deal after moving on from players like wong who didnt work. If this team played to their potential we win the division easily.
This isnt to say that signing a big name dosent change things lol
Well I guess you are as blind as a bat and mediocre is your game. I on other hand totally blame the front office who doesn’t know how to build for beyond the regular season.
"Teo is a great move and i hope we keep him around" don't expect it, the FO did him dirty in his 2023 arbitration and I doubt this season gave him faith in them for the coming years. Can't blame them for Wong's implosion though, hopefully between Rojas & Caballero we don't have to do much to sort out 2B and can focus on getting pure bats.
For all the times I was mad at Scott Servais this year for mismanaging big situations, I kinda wonder to what extent Dipoto is the one making a lot of those calls. Didn't even think of this until Locked On guys talked about it, but if he gets fired or his position within the organization changes, he'll be a scapegoat. I hope all the players take this offseason seriously and go train like JP did. Firing Scott, while def on the table, won't solve much imo.
Pain......
The starting pitching was overall exhausted. Remember we lost 2 starting pitchers from last year. Which means the relievers are tired also. 2 of their starting pitchers could of helped in the bullpen this year.
And, I will defend Dipoto forever for not signing any of those top free agents who had a descent seasons. But, they wouldn’t of made much of a difference this year.
Yes, you can nitpick and pick whoever you want that overproduced this year like JD Martinez. But, if you look at the numbers for both Pollock and JD Martinez last year, they were very similar. There isn’t one person or GM who thought he would do what he did this year. He seemed to be declining.
The same goes for Wong. He was at best signed as someone who will be a decent 7th or 8th hitter in a lineup. The good news with both of those guys is, they were inexpensive and they aren’t stuck with them forever like some teams like Texas will have with some of those guys(whose skills will eventually start declining in a few years).
This really comes down to the economics of MLB. It’s a mess. It’s been a mess for 30 years! They didn’t implement or a salary minimum or a salary cap for teams. So, owners can do whatever they want with THEIR team. People seem to forget that they can do whatever they want with THEIR business. If you don’t like how they operate THEIR business, go find another team to root for! Us whining and complaining that ownership isn’t willing to go balls out on payroll isn’t going to change that. It is what it is. You gotta work with what you are given in life, right?
As a blue jays fan I am happy the mariners are out of the playoffs because of what they did to us last year in the wildcard.
As a dbacks fan I'm really sorry, our offense has been terrible in the last 3 games, good luck next year!
Yeah what the hell man?! We were counting on you guys 😭 lol. Enjoy Sewald. I couldn’t believe it when we made that stupid mistake.
The worst part isn’t even the loss it’s the astros fans bragging
Mariners fans were sure bragging that they’ll will beat the Astros and rangers in the post season because they have winning records against the rangers and Astros. Mariners fans counted their eggs before it hatched. This is baseball winners have bragging rights. Astros has always owned the mariners. Especially when it counted and they are the reason kicked the mariners out of the postseason the last week when it counted. Astros are just a very very good team under pressure.
We've been to 6 straight alcs, won 4 pennants and 2 world series. Clinching a playoff spot is nothing to us. If we win another w.s that's when will brag
Bragging about sending ur organization home where you belong? Why would I do that?
You guys bragged when you beat Toronto, you can’t take a little karma
See you next season trident tard!
It doesn't matter what Castillo did on Saturday, you have to score to win baseball games.
Castillo got worse and Verlander got better. That was the difference.
Mariners are good. But the Astros are not going away and Texas is spending a lot on stars.
Fire Servais, sign Ohtani. Let’s go.
Thanks for all the hard work and keeping us all up to date brother. 💪
Well, there's always next year.
Mariners motto. Refuse to win
I don’t wanna hear that for another 20 years straight
Fire Scott!!!!
In the end, this season is entirely on the ownerships failure to address glaring offensive needs in the off-season. Changes are needed, but what changes will Stanton be willing to make? Servais will more than likely be the sacrificial lamb, justifiable, perhaps. The manager’s position is only the tip of the iceberg that is dooming this franchise. Stanton, a spin-off of the Nintendo/Howard Lincoln/ Chuck Armstrong era still lives on. GM’s and managers come and go, but piss poor ownerships never die. Hope springs eternal. Go M’s
as in get rid of Stanton?
bc thats what i gather
They're more interested in profit than winning a world series.
Ms are the most profitable team in the MLB, and ticket prices will continue to skyrocket.
@@FranzFerdinandVIII, the answer is overwhelmingly, yes. But that’s impossible, ya can’t fire the ownership.
Bye bye Teo and Kelenic
They’ll be back, but they’ve got work to do
What makes you think we’ll be any better next year?
How will they be back? As long as our owner keeps his yarmulke on, this team will go nowhere. Refuse to win
And they did come back two years later in 1997
We love Darren McCaughan! 2024 will be our year frfr
If we dont sign Ohtani, this coming off season will be a failure. We are literally one bat away from the playoffs.
Yeah I’m sure ohtani a guy who has just spent the last 7 years in a pathetic organization is gonna sign with Seattle a team that has never appeared in a WS and made the playoffs one time in the last 20+ years.. that’s even pretending they’d be able to compete financially with a team like the dodgers..
Or he can stay where he’s already been living the last 7 years and be with one of the most historic organizations in sports who everyone knows is well run and be competing year after year.. all these mariner fans talking is reminding me when rays/blue jays fan’s thought they had a chance at Freddie freeman
Snag trout and Ohtani be nice!
I'd say that we need much more than one bat - way too many guys on the starting roster hitting less than .250. Other than J.P we had no one that could consistently get on base. Our superstar basically sat out 4 months of the season and did not walk more than 9 times in any one month. This is NOT just a "sign Ohtani" situation.
Pitching was horrendous down the stretch. Literally no one could pitch in September
I don’t know what everyone is smoking over Ohtani, 2 tommy John’s in 3 years is a huge no for me.
Remember when Jeff Passen claimed we were spoiled? Good times.
Spoiled to be sitting on my couch and not in an uncomfortable chair at a baseball game. Passan was right!
Well, at least they made it interesting. I'm just glad they managed that instead of being upset that there's no playoffs after they went .500 for so long. Hopefully this is the wake-up call to shake up the front office some, they're getting complacent. Also, a couple of solid bats need to be acquired (which really shouldn't be that hard this offseason).
As an Orioles fan we have no right to brag after years of ineptitude. A few weeks ago I thought you had a shot.
Super bummer but happy to have you guys for the ride ✌&🤟&⚾ maybe next year they'll spend more than $3.50 in the offseason
Dumbest part about this is Dipoto going to bring this exact same team back next year and tell us all he thinks this team has enough and what it takes to win and will refuse to add any offense in free agency like usual. So stupid jsut get rid of this man already 8 years with only 1 playoff appearance any other sport the Coach and Gm would have been gone after 3-5 missed playoff seasons let alone 7/8
Despite the elimination this was a good season and we still got one more game against the Rangers.
Sure it won't lead to the playoffs but I still want the Mariners to beat the Rangers.
Seattle is my favorite team, and its over! So its time to say I want the Baltimore Orioles to go all the way and kick some ass!
Good Season Mariners..Go Astros 💪
Don’t be sad it’s over… be sad that you are mariners fans
Second team they’ve had to watch celebrate winning their division on their field. Ridiculous. Servais needs to go.
The Rangers haven't won the division yet
@@rossdilworth3412 My mistake. I misunderstood what Goldsmith said yesterday. But now that the Astros have won, I’m not sure what’s worse….
I dont think it was a bad season, because you lost 2 of your starting pitchers. Yes, i do agree you need to add a bat. I do think the ownership needs to open the bank. The team also needs some leadership and that killer instinct.
Scott is not the one. I'm sorry but it's been multiple years, how many times do we sit by wondering what the hell is he doing.
A key indicator for me was robby ray going against Alvarez. Even though every Stat showed he hits lefties way better. But Scott did that . Or even now when we are trying for a playoff spot he started Haggerty and Moore... the hell man
I want a new manager
My sentiment exactly! Oh well! 😂 there's always next year. Hopefully Julio comes back with a vengeance! Go Ms!!!
I just hope they pull off a signing of someone great in the off-season, but I doubt it! And one more thing what happened to Cade Marlowe and Dominic Canzone they seemed better than most of these other guys and they barely had any playing time. WTH!!! I blame Scott more than anyone I would of had Castillo out after he had that 3rd walk with a man on first. This is only chance don't blow it!! Duh!! Whatever bro still a life long fan and always be go Ms!!!!!!!!!!!
dude caballero should've been starting over both of those two and I personally think france should've been benched for someone else. Dude has been unclutch as it gets
The offense needs to get better, and they need to do it quickly before the pitching staff drops off.
Now go get Ohtani, Mariners.
That won't help
Our owner is a Jew. Not going to happen
I think the off-season plans weren’t bad, it was not expected that the Rangers would go get so many players and improve so much.
Deserved

This Mariners team wasn't going to go far this year playoffs they aren't a clutch team.
You are right. Astros are a clutch gene team. They win when they need to and they showed that the past 5 years. The years they lost is because of injuries.
Im sorry i wish it was yall and not the rangers. Anyways if yall could bea texas in the last game we would really appreciate it
I saw your post earlier, you are right our Astros have been on an incredible ride these last six years, actually, it is one of the greatest runs in MLB History. Unfortunately, I don't think any American League team this year will beat the Braves or the Dodgers in the World Series. This is just my humble opinion.

No surprise….let’s be honest. New owners and coaches plus several grades will put them into contention. Other than August, a terrible season especially September. I'm a 100% believer in the jarred kelenic curse conspiracy I'm sorry
He has a breakout year but the team can't get above .500
He breaks his foot kicking a cooler and boom we end up #1 in the division.... then he comes back from the IL and yikes....
I bet it was just a coincidence maybe the team gave it their all in August but it absolutely drained them in September but if we see headlines that kelenic was bad for the clubhouse or he made a voodoo ritual to break out at the cost of missing the postseason I called it
Once again I blame joe!
:(
Trade France and get Alonso, get ohtani, trade for Soto and add snell and Yamamoto in free agency. It’s literally that simple, just takes an owner who wants a win
the fact you said soto makes this comment irrelevant
@@dylancampbell8064 Soto replaces Teo cause he ain’t coming back, Alonso replaces France, Ohtani fills a permanent DH, Snell number 5 and Yamamoto slides into slot 1 or 2
@@dylancampbell8064 also adding to proven pitchers allows us to put miller and woo in the bullpen to add more depth
I blame negron

I feel the Mariners keep getting screwed for having a better racked than the AL Central team.
Due to how MLB does the whole division winner thing.
