They will convict Trump in this case. With that jury and a judge that should have recused himself, they could send the jury to deliberate today and have a conviction. They could skip the trial completely and save the taxpayers time and money, but they are putting on a show to make it look unbiased.

They don't care. The federal prosecutors declined to prosecute Mr. Trump as they couldn't prove any intent. With the ridiculously biased jury and a judge that should have recused himself, there is no doubt they'll convict him even without evidence. In fact, they've already convicted him before they've picked the jury. There is almost no point for the trial to go forward. They could send the jury to deliberate today and have their conviction and save the tax payers all that money. The trial is just for show and nothing more.

The irony here is that if they arrest him, the entire jail or prison would have to be completely cleared out. Secret Service mandate requires them to protect him for life and i cant comment of the number of perimeters or size of said perimeters around him but they'd have to close down the entire facility.
