- Ruben Gama here comparing the DNP DS40 and DS620A printers. See what you get when you compare both of these two printers.
DNP DS620A printer:
8-inch dye-sublimation photo printer utilizing the latest dye-sublimation printing technology. The DS820A can print standard 8 x 10" and 8 x 12" prints, and prints as small as 8 x4", but it can also produce panoramic prints 8 x 18", 8 x 22", 8 x 26", and 8 x 32"!! The DS820A features:

Are there any other differences? Was hoping for a more comprehensive comparison.
The DS40 weighs more and is larger. The firmware and abilities on the software end seem to be more extensive for the DS620a as well. In my opinion though the DS40 seems to be a bit more sturdy then the 620. More metal parts vs plastic. Also the DS40 is definitely faster. I'd say about a second faster for a 4x6 print. Technical people may dispute this but this is my real world out a busy event type observation.
I want to know if a can use te DS 40 dye sub media on the DS 620A?
No, sorry Anthony, you can only use 620A media for the Ds620A printer and DS40 media on the discontinued DS40 printer.
Can they use the same paper?
No unfortunately
Review from a point of view of technician :-(

The ds40 is a better built quality machine and the medio is much cheaper and easy to find.
