@@seekingthelight2029 Yeah, they're great! Other casts before have had one or two female newsies, but this is the first time all the Brooklyn newsies have been girls. And they (as well as everyone else in the UK cast) were all amazing.
I played Davey in Newsies at my local theatre and every fight scene was just me getting punched and falling over repeatedly while Les just kinda stood there 😭 also speaking of the “no heterosexual explanation” almost everyone in the cast wrote “in love with Davey” under the relationship status part of their character sheet 😅

I'm going to see a coummunity theatre production of NEwsies, so... EDIT: The production was amazing! They had girls playing both Manhattan and Brooklyn newsies (which I thought was really cool)! I know understand a ton of the inside jokes and am officially obsessed
We just did newsies for our spring musical at my school, tonight was closing night and I was so upset that it was over but thank you for making me laugh and reminding me of why I’ll never forget this show 🫶🏻
