Some of us old farts prefer 20 to 30 minute videos like this one as it is hard to sit still for an hour or more unless we have a theatre recliner, but then we fall asleep.
Don't let it get to you Chef... anyone who insists on a shorter video has the attention span of a duck, and doesn't deserve the Bliss of your outstanding recipes and food love ❤
Personally, I prefer the full length videos because I learn more about technique. I only discovered a love of cooking at 49, so I have lots to catch up on. Besides, with a shorter video, we might miss your humour! Thanks for the recipes, chef.
Chef says people complain the videos are too long, but am I the only one that would watch even longer videos? I wouldn't mind watching 1 hour+ long videos, just take your time and explain everything your way, Chef!
You could never make a video too long, I could watch you talk and drink a bottle of wine 😅. Perfect timing since I planned a dinner party on Saturday. Now I know what to make except for dessert. A good reason to watch more of your videos 😂. Thanks
Chef, the thing i appreciate about you most of all is that you WASH YOUR HANDS. I see so many chefs touch meat and then handle everything around the kitchen. You teach good hygenine and good techniques.
The worst thing I see chefs do is take a taste of something with their finger, then use the finger that was just in their mouth to grab more salt or pepper. 🤢
Like everyone says, I support the idea, longer videos are great because you give so much insight to every technique or process in cooking and it's what makes your channel amazing!
Chef, do not change. There are those who are more concerned about themselves, and those who are thinking of others. You clearly think of others. Do not stop helping the rest of us become better at experiencing life to its fullest. Thank you for all you do!!!!
You are not alone with the time it takes for these videos. I’m loving this content and appreciate the time Chef JP takes on a video. I’m here for his humor and personality, of course, that’s what made me start watching, but I want to LEARN what he’s taking HIS time to TEACH for FREE!!! These videos are NOT meant to be Shorts or Reels!!! Thank you Chef JP for your time, knowledge and AMAZING food and recipes!!! Merry Christmas to you, your family and this community!!!
I can't believe that I can avail myself of your 50 years of amazing experience and don't even have to pay for it. Thanks so much Chef and Merry Christmas!!!
Thank you chef for the video! And remember folks, its totally normal to feel tired and a little depressed at this time of the year. Its proven that automn change a lot of things in your body, so don't be too hard with yourself. Cheers!
The thing I like most about these videos is that the food is always the star of the show. JP is a humorous guide who does not let his ego dominate. He shares his love of cooking and great food.
watching your cooking videos is like going to cooking school. You not only give a recipe but show the process of it all. I don't like the videos of people where all you see are hands and there isn't any talking about the recipe or they play music and don't say anything. Some people may know how to cook good but teaching how to cook good is different than just doing it! Thanks for the videos, Chef! I think you communicate how to prepare the recipe very well!
Some people are always in a hurry. Sit back, sip your coffee, and relax. As the video explains the recipe, more info is good. Plus Chef Jean-Pierre is quite amazing.
Chef, everyone who knows good food knows that making special dishes takes time. Like you said, it’s not difficult, but patience is required and paying attention to your teaching is a must. Keep making videos as long as you like. Those of us who are watching to learn are not in a hurry. ❤
My time is valuable, which is why I choose to spend it on your videos. I have learned SO MUCH with the time I've taken watching videos on your channel! For every recipe, your technique has taught me so much more. I already loved coming, but my skills have improved immensely since I started watching.
Chef don’t listen to all those negative people. I for one (& I know others agree with me) am very grateful for your videos!! I have cooked, prepared & froze (for 17 years 😂) lots of your recipes. Thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with us!! I have learned so much from you! Thank you!!!
What make these videos so valuable is how long it takes to prepare and cook and explain, and I wouldn’t change anything about it. The longer the video, the better it is. Thank you chef, great job.
Chef J-P - I’m learning so much from you and you inspire me! I am so motivated to try your recipes! My wife is equally appreciative of you because I make these recipes! She benefits from getting a break from cooking and “icing on the cake” by enjoying these food dishes with me. Your joy is contagious when you are eating what you have just made! I do the same thing but not as good as you. It is a great feeling to enjoy the food that you yourself have just prepared! Thank you!!
The videos are NOT to long. After watching the video you can actually make the dish. Please do not change the way you do these. My favorite thing about your videos is your enthusiasm for food, it is so contagious!
Chef's videos are teaching videos. I learn and I find the recipes and techniques amazing. I relax and laugh often because chef is naturally funny. Don't change a thing.
I have two elk tenderloins in the refrigerator for tonight's dinner. Now I know exactly how I am going to prepare them! Thank you chef for this recipe! I can't wait for dinner now!
What a mix of flavors, what beautiful cooking and beautiful presentation too. I really like all these explanations and seeing him do it. Especially no shorter videos. I too, like many others, have a great time every time and sometimes I don't even hesitate to go back and review certain points twice.
What make these videos so valuable is how long it takes to prepare and cook and explain, and I wouldn’t change anything about it. The longer the video, the better it is. Thank you chef, great job. Just remember butter makes everything butter😂
Chef, I have made many of your recipes and they have been a great success in this house BECAUSE your videos are thorough. Some chefs show you how they can make this "amazing dish", you show us how WE can make this amazing dish and how simple it really is. Take your time with your videos. You hit the 2 million subscriber mark not long ago and you have already gained almost 100K more since then. We aren't complaining!
I love these! I may be a hack in the kitchen and drive my wife crazy, but following you Chef I'm a WAY better hack than I ever was before! And when my wife eats, she amazingly becomes more tollerant and not so crazy the next time. Thank you Chef, for teaching this old dog some new tricks.
Thankyou Chef for another yummy recipe. Merry Christmas to you, Jack, the team and your families. May your troubles be less and your blessings be more and nothing but happiness comes through your door. Much love from Sydney, Australia. ❤️😊🙏🏻
Chef Jean-Pierre, your videos are never too long to watch. No one else shares your combination of experience, expertise, delightful on-the-fly lessons and explanations of how things work, and wonderful enthusiasm for cooking when building a meal like this! This one was sooo much fun to watch and we're planning to make it for our Christmas dinner. We'll practice the potatoes and especially the sauce ahead of time. Thank you, Chef, and Merry Christmas!
Another triumph! You are so right, your videos are not too long, you are giving so much useful information and showing us how it should be done. We appreciate what you do.
Chef. People will never be happy. If you cut your video short then people will complain about that as well. Please don’t change anything!!! I along with so many others love your videos because of the depth of information you provide. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and expertise!
I love short videos. They leave me more time to watch half an hour of Chef Jean-Pierre cooking wonderful meals! 🥳🎉 (in case my humor isn't clear, no need to change a thing chef!)
I've learnt so much from you Chef. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of food. God Bless you and your loved ones this Christmas and always. 😊
I like how you always manage to keep the kitchen clean and making it look brand new again after using lots of ingredients and cookware. I like how share your holiday food traditions with us and keep us updated with a new meal all the time. Keep up the great work, and you and your cooking skills are loved by many of us and that your great legacy and your food teaching’s is going to last forever in France and America and any other countries watching! 🙏🙏🙏❤️
Amazing video chef and amazing reflexes also! When I saw you reach to grab the falling knife and for a split second recoiling your hand I thought to myself, you can tell this guy is a professional! God bless you!
This meal looks fantastic Chef! The sauce look so silky! I think your homemade beef stock has a lot to do with that. Your videos are not too long! Never!! No how! Thanks for this amazing meal!!❤
It is our pleasure to watch you work. Thank you for sharing your craft and I look forward to all of your videos - regardless of the length. Keep up the great work!
Chef, your videos are definitely informative, instrcutive , and enjoyable. But, they are definitely NOT too long. Those that feel they are are nitwits and should be discounted. Change nothing!! Love them.
LOVED this lesson today, and you are right about the price of tenderloin! We were at Costco yesterday, even their price is whoooooa mama!!!! We opt for their prime or choice filets, and they cut them wonderfully thick. These are large enough for my husband and I to split one. Makes it extremely economical, and we don't have to sacrifice having a delicious meal. Cheaper than eating a steak at a restaurant. Now, my next problem... Doc ordered me off salt today, having issues with my BP. 😞 have to figure out if when I leave the filet overnight, in the fridge, on its rack, without salt, will I still get the nice crust? I absolutely love watching Chef Pierre! I learn so much. I like hot temperature food and the one thing I struggle with is keeping all the sides warm. For example, when I watch this video once the food hits the plate how warm or hot is it? Maybe I should search the chefs videos and see if he has one on keeping sides warm as you prepare the meal.
I love your long videos! I watch them even if I don't plan on making the recipe, just because you're funny. your videos are educational, entertaining, and appreciated. please don't change anything about them 🙏
Thank you Chef, for the bonus video this week. I sure do miss seeing what to make twice a week. However, I do understand the amount of work it takes to get each episode out. ❤️
Love the idea of a pre-made sauce with a little sweetness! The raisin sauce with the beef sounds like a delicious twist on a classic. Will definitely try the "don't-burn-the-garlic" tip for perfect green beans too!
Absolutely NO to shorter videos. I love every second of every one of them!❤😊
Normally I like shorter videos with people that kinda suck. Jean-Pierre certainly doesn't suck. Why not make a 4 hour vid? I'd watch it happily.
@@jeremyjohnsonMWN Me too, Jeremy!
Some of us old farts prefer 20 to 30 minute videos like this one as it is hard to sit still for an hour or more unless we have a theatre recliner, but then we fall asleep.
I think I've actually sat and watched this channel for 4hrs straight a couple of times 😂
Don't let it get to you Chef... anyone who insists on a shorter video has the attention span of a duck, and doesn't deserve the Bliss of your outstanding recipes and food love ❤
Hey! Don't insult ducks by comparing them to those slack-jawed yokels who think Chef JP's videos are too long! 😛
@@ScottLuvsRenFaires I loved that duck video! ;)
people with short attention spans probably shouldn't be cooking, that's who tv dinners are for 😂
Personally, I prefer the full length videos because I learn more about technique. I only discovered a love of cooking at 49, so I have lots to catch up on. Besides, with a shorter video, we might miss your humour! Thanks for the recipes, chef.
I 100% agree!!! I want to learn!!! Not just watch!!! ❤
videos are never too long
Totally agree. Absolutely never to long.
I don’t think the videos are too long, I NEED to see each step. Thank you
Chef says people complain the videos are too long, but am I the only one that would watch even longer videos? I wouldn't mind watching 1 hour+ long videos, just take your time and explain everything your way, Chef!
Let them complain. There are those of us who's love of food and OUR chef will keep this channel going.
@@XekTOr89 those people probably don’t love butter, either! I like longer videos.
same
They don’t *have* to watch!
I have no problem with the length of the videos. I have learned lots and continue to learn. I am grateful to the chef
Perfection from our very Loved Chef. God Bless you and Thank you for coming to America.
All the pleasure is mine! God Bless America🙏❤️
I like steak well done
Chef says "We didn't do anything special." Finished product is a work of art that any restaurant would be proud to serve. This man is a treasure!

beautiful meal Chef JP! and for those that think your videos are too long, well over 2 million people think otherwise, so keep doing it!!
I've never found the videos too long. They don't have any dead spots and the information/entertainment is necessary.
