I'm sure it's no coincidence that the foreign engine who found the bodies looks a lot like Edward. A very nice touch.
The “Foreign engine”
Haha. Being serious your right.
Yeah the foreign engine might have been one of Edwards brothers
No the foreign engine can't be Edward's brother because he has different cab windows and no side rods
And Edward's brother probably told the story to him. And that one probably rattled that brother, quite a bit. Edward knew the story, from that perspective.
What if it was one of the mysterious background engines from the RWS?
Your original Ballahoo Manor from 2012 was my biggest inspiration to start making videos. Seeing this remake completely blew me away, it hit my nostalgia bone in a way I didn’t know was possible, suddenly I was 8 years old again, scared half of death by that gunshot. And that’s why this story is so brilliant, it tells an impactful story that’s terrifying because it doesn’t try to be over the top, it’s just a well written story that naturally feels scary. Fantastic job on this, the visuals have massively improved and the narration was literally perfect, this one chilled me right down to my bones, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Well done!
Well Said….
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the story and I'm glad that my projects and collaborations have inspired you as well.
@ShunterProductions What is the song name used between 14:29-15:36? I can't find it anywhere.

It’s always a treat when you and DCG12B come together to give us wonderful content

Facts
DCG12B should be the only one to narrate his stories. He has such a great voice.
He really does.

Seeing a remastered version of DCG12B's stories is always exciting and I wouldn't want to miss it for the world!
I have seen the original version of Ballahoo Manor before, and seeing this new version of it now...I LOVE IT! It gives a bone chilling feel, but brilliant. It feels like a RWS version of Bad Day at Castle Loch (except with a manor).
As for DCG12B's narration, it gives a unique vibe to the tone of the story. The nurse screaming and the ghost figures of her and the solder that Donald & Douglas witnessed are quite heart pounding. The backstory has an emotional feel too and I feel sorry for the poor solder who suffered from PTSD from the First World War. And also, I can see that foreign engine has Richard's face.
This is a pretty big improvement over the original, though the execution of the narration is a little wonky. Also, the faces for these Donald and Douglas models look almost sleepy; but then, I suppose it can only be the result of Clive Spong's illustrations.
Thanks. Some of the jumps in the narration occurred in the rendering process

@@ShunterProductions Nicej job, ShunterProductions, I love your stories.
@Jon Aschenbrenner not at all.
Love this even more then the original and the original is one of the best Thomas horror stories I have ever seen.
DCG12B is honestly one of the best narrators in the fandom.
My god, the narration alone gives me the creeps, let alone the fact that this is a modern recreation! Although, I feel like the older version has more eeriness to it due to the age.
this remastered story about ballahoo manor was awesome, and it's quite better from the original one. but at least both the old and new look great. anyway, marvelous work on making this. you totally deserved to have some respect for making each video.
this is amazing. well done. your remakes are just gold. You've totally grown a much bigger respect from me as a loyal fan of yours.
FINALLY!!!! I’ve waited so long for this remake
Sorry for the super late comment, This video is a excellent remastered of such a all time classic episode that I think is by far you best video you ever made. Whilst the old one was great, this new one was good as well. Thank you for remaking this.
Originally saw this on Victor Tanzig's channel. It's as great as ever, and I'm glad I found another channel to rewatch the same stories. :)
These aren't Tanzig's stories. If this video was on his channel it is not his. If my videos are on anyone else's channel I won't hesitant to report their channel and have it shut down I don't care how popular they are or how many subscribers they have
@@ShunterProductions What music did you used at the end of Ballahoo Manor, mate.
DCG12 has written and narrated this brilliantly and chillingly! I love how well his Ringo-esque voice sounds in this. As for the solider and nurse, I wonder if DCG12 based it off any real incident that occured during the First World War? D&D's models looked great and the filming was nice. Great work man!
It’s very likely, I mean there are documented similar hauntings in real life. The proper term for it would be a residual haunting. A residual haunting is when a spirit relives it’s death over and over again without realizing it’s dead, basically the spirits are stuck in a never ending loop. Also they would have been totally unaware of Douglas’ presence. It usually happens when someone dies in a really traumatic way, in this one the lady was chased down and shot to death by a traumatized soldier. It’s been a while since I watched it but if I remember right Douglas heard gunshots long before the spirits showed up in front of him. Another form of a residual haunting would be hearing sounds from a death like the cracklings of a burning building in a building rebuilt after a fire that killed people or smelling smoke in said building but there is no fire or smoke.
YES! The BEST of the classic Shunter horror stories remade👌
I enjoyed this to be fair well-done. Sad story shame could of made a fortune out of ghost hunting evenings. Love the realism of locos that the original series and the child never bought in. Keep up the good work
The ghosts were stuck in a never ending loop so wild have just traumatized people, the type of haunting in the vid is called residual, basically the spirit relives it’s death without realizing it’s dead. It usually occurs when someone dies in a traumatic way such as this woman being shot dead by a traumatized soldier. They can never move on and find peace unless someone stops the loop and helps them move on.
I was scared shit of this episode when i was a kid. I would have nightmares about it. Not joking! Lovely job
The scream sound effect is the same one heard Sonic.EXE when it's used at the right time it can actually being extremely chilling.
This is one of my favourite ghost stories from this fandom ever, so glad to see it get a remaster
Back at it again ! And this time remaking one of my favourite stories c:
What a wise man would say, "Some places are better left untouched and left behind..."
i have to say this is one awesome remake, the flashback part of how the ghosts of the nurse and the soldier came to be was spooky. and the ending send chills down my spine.
awesome job on the remake Shunter and props DCG12B for the narration
Yes! One of my favorite fanmade spooky Thomas And Friends stories remade here. This Is great. Minus some errors in it.
I remember watching the original when i was younger and it still gives me the chills to this day
I still think the original video has such a certain creepy atmosphere to it that a part of me dreads rewatching it. I don't know if it's the slow pace that makes it or what, but it always just unsettles me. Probably why it's one of my favorite Thomas horror stories.
Ahhh it's wonderful to see this one remastered :) Very much looking forward to the day another old classic gets spruced up
As always it certainly shows how you yourself as a film-er has improved over the years, not to mention Dcg once again being an excellent narrator
Ohhhhh the story that gave me Nightmares when I was 9!
It’s the remake of my favorite Thomas horror story
This is so good! It’s a big improvement over the original and that’s saying something!
Was wondering what DCGB12 was up to given he hadn’t uploaded for a bit.
Glad to see this story updated.
He has a trainz channel now as well as his last main one
Absolutely marvellous remake there and damn the models looked awesome
This is my favourite ghost story on your channel.
This is a great remake of a previous story. I hope there are more!
Got to admit it’s very good
oh man this is awesome! this was one of my favourite stories you did! i hope this potentially means we'll get to see "The ghost runs at midnight2 :D you have DCG12B always produce such a fantastic collaborations!
Holy moly you made an already stupendous story chilling to the bone. Very well done work
You should redo NRS Banker.
That story was sinister and the ending was calming.
Nice use of the music from Christopher Robin! Always wanted to hear that in a fan story!
Nice remake! This brings back memories, I remember watching the original Ballahoo manor video when I was 8, back when you made it in 2013
Now we need a remastered Old Dean Morris to complete the duo
YES! This was one my favorites! This remake is so good! Well done. Visuals are as wonderful as always!
I didn’t even know this existed thill now! I loved the original, it was one of my favorite fan Thomas stories ever and still is, but this remake just makes it even better. The manor looks very ominous and spooky with the new cinematography methods and the audio brings it all in
Oh,thank you! I was starting to get sick of all the S21 generic plotlines and that I need a good scare!
Nice video, Also that route looks familiar. ;)
You should do bear and old Dean Morris episode you should as phantom of the branch line as well as the ghost runs at midnight and haunted Henry.?
So the nurse was just trying to protect people from the soldier.
You should do a remake of, "The Ghost runs at midnight"
Can't wait for the other remakes. These bring back so much nostalgia 👍🏻
Dcg did a very good job at writing modern era of the rws
This was amazing! I loved it. This is just as good as the old one. If not Better! Those Models look awesome! TK and everyone else did a good job. Terrific!
This episode would be Douglas Takes The Tumble, because he went over the left old branch line and traveled into the forest on the rusty railroad tracks
This is my favourite thomas fan made halloween story, thank you so much for remaking this with modern visuals and audio mate
YES a REMAKE SMASHING YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Shunterproductions.
AND I HAVEN’T EVEN STARTED WATCHING IT YET, IT’S THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!
This is brilliant! Very well done. Very very chilling.
Honestly this was very well done and honestly can't wait to see more of your work.
The faces of the Scottish Twins look rather odd...
I guess it's to make them look more like their RWS iterations.
Also i think their crews are meant to be Scottish aswell.
This was always one of my favorite stories from your channel. I love the intensity of the ghost encounters, how well the execution is, and the interactions between the twins. Definitely one of the best ghost stories from the fandom!
Hoohohoho spooky love a good ghost story provided no jumpscares of course hehe but still this was good surprised you uploaded a story like this now instead of around October time
This is... Impressive. I love the vibes I get from this for some reason
This was my favorite of your stories and I’m so glad you remade it
1:37 There is an old branch line train track that goes left that is very rusty and travels through the forest which trains had not traveled there for a long time, it reminds me of Gordon Takes The Tumble
Donald looked a little too happy when his eyes where shut tight, again still lovely models. Narration is much better ^^ DCG12B is a good narrator
Love it!
3:59 Goof: Douglas has PeterSam's whistle
Awesome
I like the this video its clean and smooth
Hearing the woman scream scared 😨 😳 the twin engines was Douglas first, and Donald second
Again, Fantasic Remake
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Or PTSD !
I’m looking forward to remakes to the rest of your sudrian railways ghost stories.
5:20 Goof: The workman has no face, and there are pencil ✏️📝 drawings of the workman's face
YO SO GOOD
This Thomas and Friends episode of the woman screaming 😱 would make the young children scared
Hmm! That could end the project. Altogether.
You should never joke about someone witnessing something that could have involve ghosts or something like what happened in the video.
Wow, dark story.
That Narration for Stories is great, But I'm still loves stories until.......Oh, Never Mind.
I would love to adapt this into a movie
I’d like to see a new version of the ghost that runs at midnight, too,
I would love to drive on that Balahoo Manor route.
Daniel Creed do not do it you are stupid just no just no I mean it
The whole concept of the Ballahoo Manor feels like something the Reverend would think of.
This definitely goes in my list of things that fit perfectly within Railway Series lore.
honestly for a second I thought the soldier dude was a train
I can understand topham scolding his engines like children but his staff? His grown ass adult staff scolded like they’re children? That’s embarrassing on his part.
5:40 - "Get me out! Get me Out! Look out!"
Thank you!
Could you please remake Dulcie’s Ghost?
I really like this remake. But what ever to your original video then?
I get the feeling that Edward knew the story of the Ballyhoo Manor. And would be the one who would reveal it.
It the original who is the lady on the platform after "Donald peered open his eyes no one was there the soldier had gone" at time stamp 15:11 in the original video?
Wait. The Foreign Engine Who Found The Bodies Here Is A Furness Railway K2 By The Looks Of Things. Edward Is A K2 & Knows & Is Telling The Story.
I Know Their Faces Have Different Designs, But Is The Foreign Engine There Actually A Younger Edward?
Nah it's an SECR E1 Tender Class and a different character.
Oh my god this is so fucking scary but I’m pissing myself
4:21 anyone know the soundtrack? 👻
At the beginning I thought the manor was to be demolished
7:21 HOW BOUT U GO UP TO THE MANOR AND SEE FOR UR SELF TOPPAM HAT
Cool episode, man!
Will you remake ghosts runs at midnight?
Wow, well done! Hopefully this October you can do a Halloween Special!
Indeed this is a better one but the face it makes them look like they're tired all the time
Imagine being an engine and your crew leaves you to die, thanks guys 😊
This is great! Though I have a question: where did you get the edward, Donald, Douglas, duck and olivers' models? They are incredibly good!
They are private models
@@ShunterProductions Hello, I like your stories and Sudrian Railway Ghosts very much.
@@ShunterProductions Who made them?
@@ShunterProductions Just one though question is the Ballahoo manor the house where The Duke and Duchess were living at in Hiro of The Rails? I mean I remember seeing a similar line in The Wrath on The Rails video.
