  • Join us as we explore the fascinating, but possibly sketchy, old Army Iron Bridge at Fort Laramie, Wyoming! This historic iron bridge is more than 100 years old and still standing. The old Army Iron Bridge reliably carried people and vehicles across the North Platte River until it was taken out of service in the 1950s.

Interesting the way that they broke the water flow.

I do think some of the modern bridges should be in as good shape!

This is one of your best videos ever! I can't explain it but I am obsessed with historic bridges! The engineering, length, where it originated, where it ends, why it was built, who might have crossed, where they were going and where they were from, how it was then compared to now, accidents which happened on the bridge, if it ever flooded etc. So interesting! Over the North Platte in Fort Laramie, Wyoming - maybe I can see it for myself one day but at least y'all have taken me there via video! Thanks! Hilarious about Home Depot! Lol! Wish we had Menards here in Texas. Safe travels!

It was cool to be able to see it, walk it, and even explore underneath!
