    The switch to the opera singing is DOPE, beautiful and perfectly balancing the brutality of the very ending. Ronnie's vocals are mindblowing, apt for all types of singing, as well as for operatic vibrato, he's just giving a small preview of it in this "bonus". Like he said it at many live shows, the opera ending he made for his fans on request (there was a request actually), the slowered one he made on his own delight. Both are phenomenal, I'd be blown by a WTWB reimagined full of opera verses.

    • @musikbyjh
      @musikbyjh  Рік тому

      See, now a fully reimagined version, I could get behind. I think he’s got a great voice. For me, that just didn’t belong in that song. Not every request should be honored. lol. But again, that’s just my opinion. I still love these newer songs by them.

    • @musikbyjh
      @musikbyjh  Рік тому

      @@fawnwalker7855I mean, just because it’s his song doesn’t mean we’re not entitled to our opinions about it. It’s crazy to me that people don’t seem to get that. We all have different opinions about everything, and no one’s opinion is wrong. You may not agree, and that’s perfectly ok….but we’re certainly ok to feel how we want to feel about music.
      Also, according to other comments, that was a request from someone else to do that…not him. So, no…it doesn’t belong. Lol.

    The fact you can’t appreciate Ronnie’s vocal range is seriously depressing. Name another vocalist that can do what he just did? I’ll wait

    • @musikbyjh
      @musikbyjh  Рік тому +1

      Well, first of all, you must have missed the part where we said how talented he is, and how much we’ve enjoyed FiR. Just because we don’t like one fraction of a part, does NOT mean that we don’t appreciate his vocal range. It’s just that part. It doesn’t belong. In a reimagined version…sure…but not in this.
      Also…I don’t need to name any other singers. There are MANY out there who are absolutely ridiculous. Doesn’t mean we don’t still love Ronnie, but I would never in a million years consider him the best singer. Can he do a LOT of things, very well? Yes he can. But as you should surely be aware of, music is subjective. We all don’t like the same things, and that’s 100% ok.

    I liked the operatic ending. I wouldn't like it as the only ending on the official recording and I would be very disappointed if they skipped the harsh vocals for it but I liked it as a fun extra in a live performance. A friend of mine who is trained as an opera singer, says Ronnie's technique is good in this part. I can't judge this because I'm not into this kind of singing style. But again, I enjoyed it as a little bonus.

  • @IAmFirstborne
    @IAmFirstborne Рік тому +4

    The part where Ronnie sings, is due to fan requests, as many people love his reimagined songs, me being one of them. "Last Resort" is his most recent one, and it is really good. "Watch the World Burn" is him raging against his haters, including other artists, who claim he can't sing, that he has no talent, and that he's a subpar performer because he uses audio tracks. He's a god tier singer and musician, possibly without peer, currently.
    Anyone that claims audio tracks make a live performance easier or lackluster, especially when put into a live band situation where timing is everything and you aren't going for a stripped down version of the song, is high AF. EVERYONE uses tracks (including country bands,) and if bands don't use tracks, they often can't compete; this is the current norm. Ronnie and Falling in Reverse are simply showing their skill, and their natural talent in this song, while flipping the bird to ALL of the haters. Masterpiece.

    I appreciate when artists don't stay static during concerts. Recorded music can be static, but when concerts feel static, it's bad. The point of a concert is to have an experience. . That said, there are going to be parts some like and some don't. Someone might've loved that operatic part and really disliked the changed up ending.. In any case, both can go home and listen to the song as it was recorded..
    I've just binge watched a bunch of your reactions to Kim Dracula and FIR. I'd love to see a reaction to FIRs music video of Voices In My Head. I'd also be interested to know if you've ever heard Di Antwood? If not, I recommend 'Ugly Boy' and 'I fink you freaky', I think your reactions to those would be something!! I recently found a band called Chaoseum, although they seem to have not done anything super recently. Also, might check out Chase Holfelder's major to minor series. I especially like the covers of 'Every breath you take' & 'I want you to want me' And one more suggestion that idk if you'd like or not but Gary Numan's 'My name is ruin' (might recognize the name from way way back from 1979 when his big hit was 'Cars'... Much different sound)

      @@musikbyjh uughh I had a whole response written out and it disappeared. So take 2. Yes I'd be interested in a reaction to the FIR video. I find it interesting to see how differently everyone interprets a song vs how the artist does. I misspelled Die Antwoord. Their story is quite interesting and they have made a movie, I guess, about their journey. They are from S. Africa and their music is considered Zef music. I like the 2 songs I suggested because they are the 1st ones I heard.
      Have you ever listened to any Steampunk music? I know you like harder stuff so I don't know if you'd like it or not but I think it is a highly underrated genre. The Gary Numan song I suggested is along the SP lines. If you'd like to check out more, I'd suggest starting with Abney Park's Steampunk Revolution.

      @@musikbyjh falling in reverse has literally always been multi genre. Youre coming in from a very limited perspective, but just as an example, Ronnie has always done a lot of both experimental vocals as well as different vocal styles themselves (hip hop, rock, to country even with songs like drifter) trying to say its a complete 180 from the style they just portrayed is quite literally what falling in reverse does. Because a certain part doesn’t “do it for me” or sound good to me, doesn’t mean I’m limited in any way. We all like what we like. I simply didn’t not think that small portion fit the song.
