i’ve been waiting for your lana arc for so long!! national anthem is another really fun video to watch. Off to the Races doesn’t have a music video but is one of the coolest songs i’ve ever heard (i went to a concert several albums later where she still closed with it, it’s that good). And Ride is a combo of a great video and great lyricism
If you enjoy her storytelling you should definitely listen to her albums in order. Ride is definitely a must watch, but you should probably watch Blue Jeans next because it ties into Born to Die.
You next few songs you should react to in order are 1) Blue Jeans 2) National Anthem 3) Ride Would be awesome if you did a full album reaction after finishing her music videos!!
Vocal Timbre, or as it is described as the quality of that tone utilizing complex overtones, or sound waves, is that unique “something” that gives color and personality to your voice, and how it is recognized. Every voice has its own distinguished timbre.
You need to react to ride! It’s her most personal music video, it’s the story of before she was famous!! And then react to shades of cool or west coast!!
I was waiting for this! If you want to see her cinematic side please watch Ride, the 10 minute video with a monologue in it that furthers the story told in the song
This reaction was everything this is how all of us felt after hearing and seeing born to die!!! I literally want you to react to her whole discography! But “blue jeans” would be the next song if u wanna go in order it tells a story about the same love interest from born to die.
React to the whole Born To Die album! You'll love everything. And you should react to all of her albums in order. Love your reactions. Been waiting for this.
MORE LANA♥ Please, react to Ride! That's literally a short film! Or Fuck it I Love you + The greatest. Two songs in one video! Or Ultraviolence full album, or all albums in order :D
Lana is a mezzo-soprano, which basically means she can hit the notes of an alto as well as a soprano, she has a broad range and she’s usually most comfortable in the middle range/chest voice but does use her head voice often. (Just in case no one answered your question in the beginning of the video!)
if you wanna start reacting to albums i suggest reacting to born to die which is her debut.. if ur not up for albums listen to ultraviolence or west coast or off to the races or even fuck it i love you/the greatest double music video which is a completely different vibe and sounds from these
Lana and her team used to be worried she wouldn’t be “taken seriously” if she sang in her head voice. A lot of her earlier music is in her chest voice but the more recent stuff has her experimenting with the other side of her range! Examples being beautiful and sweet Carolina from bb
Off To The Races is a perfect example of Lana using different tones and textures of her voice for her storytelling in her songs. It’s still my favorite song of hers, before it I had never heard any other “pop” song like it before!
Loved the reaction! I have the same interpretation and really enjoyed how you discussed her lyrics. If you're able to react to full albums I'd really recommend listening to Lana's in order. They all have a different vibe and story which I think you'd love (e.g. Born to Die is all about the toxic relationship you saw here). BUT if you are only interested in doing one song at a time, I think Ride or Young and Beautiful would be some good ones from around the same time as this one!
Great reaction and analysis, you got it at the first time. The next one could be Blue Jeans, because it kind of pairs with this one (even with the same guy in the video). Also 'National Anthem' and 'Ride' are both great for a visual and artistic experience and 'Off To The Races' to hear her different singing voices. All of these songs are from the same album.
I really liked your interpretation of "come and take a walk on the wild side etc" as the guy saying that instead of Lana, that blew my mind a little lol!
You should definitely listen to her albums. You'll find lots of lyrical treasures in each of the album. The best part of listening to albums in the order they were released is that you can see her projection on events of her life, relationships, fame, breakups, etc. IMHO, you should check at least Ultraviolence and NFR albums
I would love for you to react to fuck it i love you/ the greatest MV a lot of people forget about it but for me its my favorite music video and era of hers the NFR era
I think you should do "Blue jeans" next then "Shades of cool". "Blue jeans" has the same guy in MV. There are metaphors in these three songs that are connected. So It would be amazing to check out
I - JUST - LOVE - TO - SEE - PEOPLE - DISCOVERING - LANA - FOR - THE - FIRST - TIME! 😂 oh men you're in for a ride!... What can you do next??? there's so much! if you loved this one, the RIDE video will blow your brain. The whole Ultraviolence album is a sublime experience (that's my favorite one of all), such as Honeymoon and Norman Fucking Rockwell. It's hard to pick, you should check everything from her! every album from Lana is a gift.
9:37 you need to watch a movie called Mommy (2014), it ends with Born To Die playing in the background, the scene is extremely impactful and moving. You really need to watch it, I'm sure you'll love it
they way she sings is simply lana del rey and if you notice it, there is a lot of people in the industry influenced by her style now-days, she changed the whole scenario with born to die back in the 2010s it was definitely a cultural reset, sad-pop became a thing and now we have the sadboys and trappers singing about wanting to die playing on the radio and also halsey or billie or melanie martinez or even bigger artists like Taylor's folklore
i think the "choose your last words" is more like a "this is your last chance to do right". also a lot dont seem to notice this "funfact" or a dark one, but in the intro the guy says "louder" and lana says "who me?" but at the outro, he shouts it but she never responds because she's dead..
BLUE JEANS!!!! You gotta go on the journey through Lana’s Discography and Blue Jeans is the next step! It also does tie into this Born To Die music video as well.
Wouldn’t say that all of her music is like this. Her style changes from an album to album basis. Strongly recommend doing an album listen but with the music videos where they exist.
Done that, been there... too often. And now I'm a depressed lonely spinster >-< Don't play with fire, you can't control it. You're young and think everything is possible, but life can actually be dangerous... You can't heal from every trauma. Sometimes it's just too much... I'm just happy, none of these guys actually killed me (happens way too often).
Lana Stan here.. New Sub.. And what a great reaction.. Ride is must.. Also Tropico a short film that includes 3 song's from the EP Paradise.. XXX 👌👌👌😘🇬🇧
Check out Angelina Jordan's cover of Born to Die. Amazing! But once you start reacting to Angelina you won't be able to stop! Angelina does covers better than the artist. She has over 150 covers and also writes her own music and is signed with Republic Records and she is only 16. She won Norways Got Talent at the age of 7.
I dont know is you know who Angelina Jorden is but if not you need to hear her version of this song. She did at age 11 or 12 years old. You will be hooked AJ does many covers like 150 before age 13 and had an original song or 2 plus won Norways got talent at age 8 and wrote and published a book by 9 years old she now has over 180 covers and 5 originals. And she is only 16 currently in 2022 ,
p.s. Though I think you all read too much about her stories. Born to die may mean exactly that - we're mortal, we never know what will happen - so enjoy the life while you can. It doesn't have to be about some bad love story - it may be about our place in this world.
this song is still till this day one of her best ones. the whole lyrical content is a huge existential metaphor about life and, at the same time, the description of that relationship. It really showcase perfectly her ablitys. Great reaction!
Everyone is missing Lana’s subtle sadness/upset face during some of the clips in the video especially at 8:15 She’s not having a good time with this guy and he keeps forcefully kissing her. She turns away from him at 8:15 and he forces her to kiss him while driving and the light turns red. Not realizing the light changed caused them to get into a crash.
born to die and norman fucking rockwell are lana’s best albums, period. You should react to them for sure, but if i have to just a song i feel like you should hear blue jeans or national anthem next
The Ride music video and song are a masterpiece. And National Anthem Is one of the best videos of all time
Make sure to watch RIDE the 10 minute version
anyone else hearing kanye west at „best video of all time“?
"love" is one of my favs by lana... its just magical...
i’ve been waiting for your lana arc for so long!! national anthem is another really fun video to watch. Off to the Races doesn’t have a music video but is one of the coolest songs i’ve ever heard (i went to a concert several albums later where she still closed with it, it’s that good). And Ride is a combo of a great video and great lyricism
Her voice is an alto so it sits rite in the middle, it’s either a high male voice or low female voice
Her Norman F*ing Rockwell album is SOO good. It's her best one in my opinion. You should definitely check it out!
RIDEEEEEEE
Can you please react to Rosalia live performances? Love from DR 🇩🇴
If you enjoy her storytelling you should definitely listen to her albums in order. Ride is definitely a must watch, but you should probably watch Blue Jeans next because it ties into Born to Die.
yes blue jeans ties to born to die, but also shades of cool which comes later in the albums.
and Shades of cool
YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL from the Great Gatsby soundtrack, and, LOVE should be your next reaction to Lana! Please! ❤️
Young and beautiful is a brilliant song
You next few songs you should react to in order are
1) Blue Jeans
2) National Anthem
3) Ride
Would be awesome if you did a full album reaction after finishing her music videos!!
She is one of the greatest songwriters in this generation. Poet with beautiful voice
React to the ‘Born To Die’ & ‘Norman Fucking Rockwell!’ albums. Her best by far!👏🏼 Love the channel, by the way. 🤍
Been waiting for this.
i suggest he does the music videos first and then later check out the albums in order it would all make sense this way :)
MORE LANA♥ Please, react to Ride! That's literally a short film! Or Fuck it I Love you + The greatest. Two songs in one video! Or Ultraviolence full album, or all albums in order :D

You GOTTA check out Ride next!
If this was like a TV show, then "Ride" would be a full motion picture with a theatrical release.
Please react to "YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL" next.
I love to see the genuine appreciation of her lyricism ❤ keep going with Lana, she'll never disappoint you.
My favorite song of hers is Dark Paradise. I recommend it immensely!

React to National anthem!!! She makes a really good video with JFK, Marilyn and Jackie. And the way money is more important to people
Please react to Gods and Monsters, its my favorite Lana Del Ray Song
I just can’t wait for you to experience her whole albums esp Norman F-king Rockwell! 🙌

Chemtrails over the county club music video is her best!
Every Lana song is like a mini movie. Lana will take you places :)
Yes please I agree with the others, ride is amazing! The music video even has additional spoken words
Please react to "Ride", the full version with the monologue, and also to National Anthem
I really liked your interpretation of "come and take a walk on the wild side etc" as the guy saying that instead of Lana, that blew my mind a little lol!
We need react to 'Ride' please!
You need to react to ride by lana it's such a good song n excellent/unique mv. U won't be disappointed.
Loved this reaction n ur analysis 🥰
I recommend Mariners Apartment Complex and West Coast :)
And all of them haha
It’s so hard to recommend just one or two songs, isn’t it? I have about 40 favorite Lana songs.
Pleaseeee Ride!!!!
When are we going to see some Britney Spears reactions?🤔
Yess react Ride!!
Please react to Laal Ishq by Arijit Singh, you'll discover the whole new music world.
You should definitely listen to her albums. You'll find lots of lyrical treasures in each of the album. The best part of listening to albums in the order they were released is that you can see her projection on events of her life, relationships, fame, breakups, etc.
IMHO, you should check at least Ultraviolence and NFR albums
Her voice is Contra-Alto which is a rare type Among women to have cause it's uncommon
She’s dressed as the high priestess from the tarot card deck
I would love for you to react to fuck it i love you/ the greatest MV a lot of people forget about it but for me its my favorite music video and era of hers the NFR era
You should listen to Blue jeans and Shades of Blue to understand the storyline
watch "ride" by her, probably her best music video
White dress is the opposite of this one. She sang at a very high voice
I think you should do "Blue jeans" next then "Shades of cool".
"Blue jeans" has the same guy in MV.
There are metaphors in these three songs that are connected.
So It would be amazing to check out
But west coast tho
@@alexnaava816 omg that one too.
West coast is amazing tbh
I - JUST - LOVE - TO - SEE - PEOPLE - DISCOVERING - LANA - FOR - THE - FIRST - TIME! 😂 oh men you're in for a ride!... Her style is called Lana Del Rey's.
Love the Lana reaction💙
Blue jeans next, please
you should react to ride!!!
You are wayyy too over analytical lmao just enjoy the song
React to Mariner's Apartment Complex and Shades of Cool!!!
Please react to High by the beach - Lana del rey
i think the "choose your last words" is more like a "this is your last chance to do right".
also a lot dont seem to notice this "funfact" or a dark one, but in the intro the guy says "louder" and lana says "who me?" but at the outro, he shouts it but she never responds because she's dead..
I have noticed the same thing but most people really don't seem to understand... it always felt so dark
BLUE JEANS!!!! You gotta go on the journey through Lana’s Discography and Blue Jeans is the next step! It also does tie into this Born To Die music video as well.
Young and Beautiful, perhaps?
You definitely have the best reactions. Keep it up man 🤘🏼
We need a lana del rey discography deep dive!
Wouldn’t say that all of her music is like this. Her style changes from an album to album basis.
Strongly recommend doing an album listen but with the music videos where they exist.

Blue Jeans (love)

West Coast (He Minds)
Shades of cool (Ghost)
Please react to Blue Jeans, Video Games, Million Dollar Man, and Ride. Those are from this album!! Except Ride I think.
Loved your reaction to do this. Such a beautiful music video, I wish I could recreate it and put myself in it, haha!
I dont know is you know who Angelina Jorden is but if not you need to hear her version of this song. She did at age 11 or 12 years old. She's a Dugazon, which is the voice between Soprano and Mezzo Soprano. Bb2-Eb6(highest note in her head voice)

Please react to the video for Ride or Chemtrails Over The Country Club!🙏🏻❤️
NOT RIDEEEE, listen to ride when youre little more into lana....
this song is still till this day one of her best ones. the whole lyrical content is a huge existential metaphor about life and, at the same time, the description of that relationship. It really showcase perfectly her ablitys. Great reaction!
good analysis on Born To Die and LDR. I proceed you......LDR stan
You can't fully enjoy a song pausing so much, man, it's just impossible. Parts of your reaction sounds like an audio commentary.
This song actually played at the end of a movie called Mommy from 2014 :)
OMG LANAAA!! Please react to West Coast the Tempo Switch is 🔥
Everyone is missing Lana’s subtle sadness/upset face during some of the clips in the video especially at 8:15 She’s not having a good time with this guy and he keeps forcefully kissing her. She turns away from him at 8:15 and he forces her to kiss him while driving and the light turns red. Not realizing the light changed caused them to get into a crash.
Great reaction! 🔥
You should check out Blue Jeans next! 💯👌
Omg I hope you react to Ride, but don’t skip the monologue at the beginning!
Love your videos 🤗
Why don’t you pull up the lyrics so you could reference ❤️❤️❤️❤️
born to die and norman fucking rockwell are lana’s best albums, period. You should react to them for sure, but if i have to just a song i feel like you should hear blue jeans or national anthem next
If you thought this video was cinematic, Ride HAS to be next
I don't much care for her voice (which is fine) but for her stories. She's true storyteller.
What a beautiful song with such a horrible video.
Ride is quite the story.
Would say the video/movie for tropico is a great 'story' also
National anthem, blue jeans, heroin....these are really good too!
