The Big Push were together for 5 years (2017 to 2022). They are made up of Ren, Romain Axisa (guitar and vocals), Gorran Kendall (guitar, bass & vocals), Glenn Chambers (drums). They split up in late 2022 in order for Ren to get medical treatment in Canada. They are all doing their own things at the moment but Ren has said he would love to get the band back together some time, if the others want to as well

I feel like we reached a point coming out of COVID and two years of hiding in our homes trying to avoid getting sick where we were finally ready to receive the lessons Ren is teaching and he literally exploded in just the past six months.
The line "When music hits you feel no pain" was originally from Bob Marley's song "Trenchtown Rock", at least 50 years ago, and Drake is about the 100th person to quote it. Here, it's a line from the song "Hip Hop" by the late 1990s underground act Dead Prez, which is the source of Ren's rap here.

great reaction. The Big Push as a band has so much talent in 4 people it's ridiculous. All 3 guitar players are singer/ songwriters. All 3 play acoustic, electric and bass. I wasn’t in the crowd there, but I’ve got mates in the Welsh busking scene and they called him being huge back in 2018 when he was singing/rapping on street corners in Swansea & Bristol. So crazy hearing those first super early ripples about him to now. (Big Push, Englishman In New York is phenomenal btw.)
There's a video that picks up immediately after this, where they blast through "War Pigs" and a medley of other Black Sabbath & War Against the Machine tunes. Also a killer. Look for the red suspenders again!
Ren's is dropping tracks from his soon to be released Sick Boi album. He always wanted to do a Rap/Hip Hop album because he loves the music so much. But he even stated on his community page a few days ago that this is out of his comfort zone. Most people new to Ren think he's a "rapper" because that's what he's been putting out lately. But if you look at the last 13 years of content available, the rapping is only a part of what he does. I think of him as a singer, songwriter, musician, producer who can also rap. He likes to put rap sections in more traditional rock, reggae, ska types of songs. He also said recently that his next album is almost completely written, and is back in his "comfort zone" of playing guitar and singing. Please check out his song "Ready For You" to get an idea of the totally opposite side of his talents. I'm here for all of it. Peace.
Actually Ren is more of a singer that can also rap. All the band members sing and all 4 of them can play the various guitars, even the drummer though I’ve only seen him do it once. Ren can also play drums and Romain can somewhat. Goran is very skilled on the harmonica. They are ALL super talented, a rare thing. The Big Push has a ton of content, both street busking video productions. Yes, they did a lot of covers but they also wrote original content too. You can also find video of them on the Brighton Beach Busking BBB UA-cam page. Brighton encourages the busking scene and videos a lot of the artists. They’re all stupidly talented. Probably one of the things that brought them together: a love for music. However, I don’t think there’s any denying that Ren is one hell of a charismatic frontman. Even when the others take on that role. There is just something about Ren that draws you in. What makes them special as group though is that energy of just four friends loving music and getting together to play. They’re clearly having a lot of fun with it and the energy is contagious.
In an interview, Ren said that time inevitably got to The Big Push, and they all ended up separated due to life. One of the band members lives in a different country now, and others have families, etc. If the stars align, they'll get back together, if only for a show or two.
Every member of the big push is extremely talented, you should check out more of their stuff. The main three are multi instrumentalists and can all sing. Ren surrounds himself with talent it seems.
Ren has also done solo stuff , when his health has allowed it... which for years meant from his bedroom. When his health improved somewhat (he's still seriously ill) he started collaborating with other artists too and he co-founded a couple of bands. The Big Push being the longest lasting and most talented. The band went on hiatus this year, as Ren has had to spend most of the year in Canada, undergoing experimental treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain. They do plan to do stuff together in the future but with the 3 main band members all having solo success, Ren's career in particular is skyrocketing, it may be on an ad hoc basis, rather than as a permanent band. Btw, street performance is called "busking' in the UK and a few other countries. So if you're looking for more of that, search 'busking'. Check out the rest of the Big Push stuff - they are all amazing, super talented musicians! They only split/having a break as Ren is having medical treatment in Canada. Also check Ren and Sam Thompkins and Chinchilla! Ren is not just a rapper - he's an extremely versatile, super talented musician.
I don't think so, Ren let's Romain have those solo's because he likes the attention and Ren not so much. Romain is good but not better then Ren. Have you not heard Ren's guitar work in all his songs, (that is him doing all the guitar work in the background) it is fantastic. His next album, after sick boi will be him singing and his guitar work, I guess then you can give another opinion. How often does Romain sing and play lead at the same time or rap and play guitar at the same time? Ren does, and that is hard. Not just strumming some rhythm, but lead.
@@kellyt5341Come on, Ren doesn’t like attention? And I’m not saying that’s a bad thing but he’s a born performer. As far as who’s a better guitarist, it’s not a competition. They’re both quite good and have their individual styles. And if you don’t think Romain is super talented(singing, songwriting, playing multiple instruments), I suggest checking some of his solo work. Sorry, I hope this doesn’t sound rude but I find your comment disrespectful of Romani’s talent.
All of the band members also have parallel solo careers and they are all equally as talented. Trust me, it's not just Ren. Gorran Kendall (the bass player on this) does mostly folk-rock in his solo career, acoustic guitar and harmonica type stuff. Romain Axisa (the other guitarist) is from France, and sings and raps in both English and French. They are all super talented. Check out their cover of "Praise You" if you really want to see them all shine equally.
Ren is an absolute monster in this particular piece. But the others have their moments in other songs. They were famous buskers in Brighton and would always draw a crowd. Imagine getting this quality of entertainment by donation. Crazy
Dig into their content and you'll see he didn't carry then at all. Such a talented group of people it's unreal. I'd recommend listening to their covers of Praise You, Paint It Black and Bongo Bong. I think that's why they're so synchronised in everything they play. The timing is spot on, sound is incredible. Nice to see you vibing with this.
They say that he came out of nowhere, but that's the case for many well known artists if you think about it, unless they come already from an entertainment environment.
As you explore more Ren in The Big Push and his earlier stuff, I think it makes more sense why some of us fans reacted a little “huh?” during the King Dotta thing. Ren is just so much more.
Im not sure if anyone has added this comment, but there are actually four songs in this medley/mashup. The song after Road To Zion and before Hip Hop is A Little Bit Of Luck, by DJ Luck & MC Neat.
DonVon, do a react to the 2 songs “Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard” (a mash up that shows the true talent of the entire band, also Ren is on bass in this song) and “Swan Song” both by The Big Push.
I was there, this was one of many of their performances. Funny thing is that now these vids have loads of views, that area has become more popular with other buskers thinking they get lucky to if they play there.
A lot of British performers start of in busking (Street performing) Amy Winehouse, Adele and others started this way, in fact some of the greatest British acts got their start in music doing this, just set up in the street and let your music pull people in and hopefully the people put a few pounds in a bucket for you to pay your bills. You should do The Big Push - Warpigs, you will love it.
There its called busking and they loved doing it! Time to follow its members, each has pursued their own ways. Ren left for medical reasons to Canada. No band breakup. More ok guys, luck to us all. Meet back up in the future.

Bongo Bong or English man in New York are two more from The Big Push.
They are all super talented and Romain is just as captivating to listen to with his busking and solo performances
The whole band are excellent musicians they all sing and romaine is the better guitarist overall this doe's not take away Ren's skill.
Romaine was in all black?
yes@@DonVon
No disrespect to Romain, he is a very good guitar player but he is not better than Ren and that was the point. @@Joseph_Riccio_AZ
The other guitarist in this video is the guitar player with the bag on his head in "Money Game".
Crazy
War pigs followed. Romaine on guitar was so cool. Bongo bong for their singing, love it. Cheers from UK.
Nice to see you vibing with this.
i think everyone in the Big Push sings lead at differnt times and they all play multiple instruments its an extremely talented group of people.
All the band are awesome. Ren is a real star!!
"Artist Extraordinaire" love it!
They're in Brighton.....
Everyone in this band are all very talented. Check out Tales of Jenny and Screech with all three versions. Did you watch Hi Ren
REN & The Big Push NEEEEEED to tour the STATES!🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏
They say that he came out of nowhere, but that's the case for many well known artists if you think about it, unless they come already from an entertainment environment.
The Big Push could Be HUGE if they get back together. They have great chemistry!
You would be surprised that the whole group is very talented makes me wonder how they didn't blow up cause they are amazing
After Hi REn, he popped 1 million subs in 6 months.
DonVon, do a react to the 2 songs “Wade in the Water/Nina Simone/Trouble so Hard” (a mash up that shows the true talent of the entire band, also Ren is on bass in this song) and “Swan Song” both by The Big Push.
Absolutely love watching reactions to this. It’s soo fuuunnn. I love this band too. Thanks ❤❤
I was there, this was one of many of their performances. Funny thing is that now these vids have loads of views, that area has become more popular with other buskers thinking they get lucky to if they play there.
Love it
This was fantasic..Band did their thing...wow...thanks appreciate you
This is my favorite busking performance.
You’ll like Big Push wade in the water/Nina Simone/Trouble so hard
Big push/ Ren / won’t disappoint 🔥🔥🔥
That last piece, Hip Hop was by the Dead Prez and the song came out in 1999/2000
A lot of British performers start of in busking (Street performing) Amy Winehouse, Adele and others started this way, in fact some of the greatest British acts got their start in music doing this, just set up in the street and let your music pull people in and hopefully the people put a few pounds in a bucket for you to pay your bills. You should do The Big Push - Warpigs, you will love it.
My dude you have some of the crispest folds on a bandanna I’ve ever seen. Teach me your ways😂😂
Busking, Brighton beach
Everyone in the group is a rockstar btw.
This was performed in ship street in Brighton. The council close the road off for street performers.
This is called Buskin in the UK. They will let people know where and when and Show up from all over. What a Street Performance as we say in the USA
I could watch this mash up a million times!! and I’m already at 500,000! 😁 Great Reaction!
Mate you have to check out them doing These Boots were made for walking and their Fatboy Slim cover.
Thank you for your reaction!
I believe the hip hop at the end of this amazing medley is from Rappers Delight by The Sugar Hill Gang😢from back in 1979. Just as we left disco.
Love this ❤
the man sharing lead guitar in this medley also sings excellently his name is Romain Axisa
Busking on the street is common
Ren will post when he and guests band members are going to perform and people show up or just come across it
Fabulous
There its called busking and they loved doing it!
Time to follow its members, each has pursued their own ways. Ren left for medical reasons to Canada. No band breakup. More ok guys, luck to us all. Meet back up in the future.
The rest of the band is awesome as well! Just subbed.
👍👍👍for sure wish I was there.
The song is "Hip-Hop" by Dead Prez! It's a classiccccc
