Thanks for this great video. I am a Nikon DSLR guy but have always wanted to try a decent mirrorless camera. I actually like the slightly larger size of the a7ii because I find camera holding stabilisation is better with this size than the previous smaller body thus giving sharper hand held images. Just my two pennies worth.
I could be wrong, but maybe they don't update the camera due to the heat the chips may produce when recording at that format and maybe the camera body you have can support the extra heat with its surrounding components, and the others can't. Haha just a throw in. Great review ;)
I’m buying my first digital camera, my only interest are photos, not interested in video at all, should I get the Sony A7 or for an extra $400.00 get the A7 II. Thanks.
I'm interested in switching from canon 5d markii to the sony A7ii... but is the A7ii any better from the canon 5d that's worth the switch? Low light focus and image quality is my priority.. any thoughts? Thank you
Great video, thanks so much! Question: Im a "typical youtuber" doing vids at home sometimes on the go and i want a cam. So far the Canon 70d (18-135STM kit lense) was the one i wanna get, but the A7ii with the kit lense made me stuggle in my decision... I know its a big price difference, but what cam would you recommend for me? Can they be compared in any way? Im really frustrated and dont know what to get,.. Love the smaller size, makes me think id never take the 70D with me :( thanks so much for your advice in advance!!! (Im a complete beginner and have no clue, so im REALLY grateful for advice on what to buy as a "at home Video producer where i talk talk talk")
Thank u so much! Tough decision cuz of price and i hear that sony kit lens isnt too good (and not 18-135 range like the canon) and all that stuff... Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate it!!
The whole point of mirrorless is small and light, and that's why I switched to the a7r. Disappointed that it's got so much bigger. I could't care less about grip size.
You can't imply that I think either of those things from what I said, 'shaolin'. ;) Perhaps you should lay off the straw man, and stick to the wooden man?
What about overheating on video? This is a well-known problem on previous versions of Sony mirrorless but I never see it mentioned in these UA-cam reviews. Is this still a problem with the A7ii?

A7 has a plastic lens mount. A7II - metal.

Dont worry too much about the range. Sony kit lens of a7 mk2 is pretty decent. ;)
what difference Canon 5D MKIII and Sony a7mkii
Thank you, your reviews are great.
Is it possible to disable the 2 or 10 second self-timer light on the sony a7II (the amber light in front of the camera). Thank you.
I need to look at how tonuse lenses tutorial.
Depreciation of Sony cameras are so high that make me wonder should I buy, or should I wait...
Sriram no depreciation. Look at the prices of used ones....
Hey man great review as usual! Lol keep it up
