  • The AddMotoR MOTAN M-330 P7 is a heavy-duty and feature-rich cargo electric trike, capable of transporting up to 350 pounds of rider and cargo in the included front and rear baskets. Heavy loads are a breeze with an extra-sturdy 7075 alloy frame and a 750 watt hub motor from Bafang, Shimano Tourney derailleur, and Tektro mechanical disc brakes are basic but perform well, integrated lights from Spanninga and Blazelite are bright and easy to activate. Approachable thanks to a step-thru frame with a low standover height, Kenda fat tires provide great traction and comfort along with a Mozo spring suspension fork, the upright riding position is comfortable and adjustable for a wide range of rider sizes. The large size and weight means it is difficult to maneuver or transport in a vehicle, mechanical brakes require more grip strength to actuate as well as more frequent maintenance than hydraulic, the motor is almost too powerful when unburdened and may be intimidating for some riders.

    I love mine, I have had it for a few weeks. I need a hip replacement at an early age. I can pedal away and even turn off the throttle and when my hip fails me, turn it up and keep going. Its like a mini bike yet feeling safer.

    the 24 inch tire setting was correct as it is the front tire and the controls is set for the size of tire the motor is on. the rear tires are 20 inch.

    The extension on the handlebar must be for pedalling while standing up in difficult situations; hills, dead or low level battery, stuck in mud etc.

    Anyone aware of a trike like this that has the option of collapsing the rear wheels together so that it's like a two wheel bike. Needs to ride in either setup.

    Can we get a long term commute update? My sister is looking at this bike to replace here car. Im worried about getting replacement parts like the battery docking port, controller and wiring quality. I've rode a ONYX RCR with a 1500Watt hour battery pack for over a year and love it, its easy to repair and I can get strange replacement parts easily vs buying a unknown bike manufacturer. Dropped it quite a few times and hit black ice as well been rear ended by a SUV and it still runs minus minor cosmetic issues.

    Good comprehensive overall review. One thing I question is you state that since it does not have hydraulic brakes that if you have arthritis and if you really want hydraulic brakes you should look for something else. Can't this bike be retrofit with hydraulic brakes if needed?

    how is it on a sandy beach? I am looking for a trike to haul a trailer and my fishing gear for surf fishing. I have a regular 2-wheel e-bike that I love.

    Great review thanks 🙏 I am new to e-bikes almost 60 years old and am interested in finding an appropriate bike. Do these bikes or I guess this type of motor support any sort of regeneration of electric when going down hill?

    • @cody481
      @cody481 2 роки тому

      Until you step up to a mobility scooter you won't get a useful regen brake.
      Most have a real power only travel up to 20 miles.

    Almost 3k but no mid drive motor? No thanks

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  4 роки тому +2

      Very few fat tire delta style mid-drive trikes. I think the complexity of running two rear wheels from a single motor with that much weight is very difficult and expensive. Most go with a single hub motor, as seen here

    Hi guys - have you stopped doing e-mtb reviews? This channel used to be THE source for thorough, impartial reviews and had a truly global appeal (i.e. outside the USA) and now all we get is shopping carts, cargo bikes and such like. I used to visit this channel all the time ... shame
