This series deserves a second season. Also Luke Evans is hot. And amazing actor. He has screen presence of old school actors. Like Clint Eastwood and Sean Connery.

The first season was well done and it did a fair job following the storyline of the book.
I was rather disappointed with the 2nd book, The Angel of Darkness, but I'm really looking forward to the next season and seeing the parallels with the characters.

The age gap creeps me out but they’re kinda cute I guess
This is actually realistic for this time period. Whenever I see a period piece where the man and the woman are the same age, I shake my head. No man proposed to a woman until he could take care of her and younger women were more desirable because they were young enough to have several children. A woman who was still unspoken for at the age of 18 was looked at with pity and almost considered a spinster. Unless he were wealthy, young men could not afford to marry anyone. So older men pursued younger women. No one thought anything about it back then.

Both are of age, so it's completely fine, and for the time period, realistic. Most couples had a huge age-gap back then.
Also, I, personally, love age-gaps. xD

@@misspriss2482Not true. Some people were born rich so they didn't have to wait to be able to 'take care' of someone. Others were poor and married at whatever age.
It's really just a tiny segment of society you are speaking of.
Luke Evans is a good actor but eww him kissing a woman young enough to be his daughter. Eww
She’s 26. He is 41. Do the math, they are only 15 years apart, so unless he was a teen parent...
@@KeshetAylonit I agree with you, but I was thinking something similar I know he's not old enough to be her father but the fact she has this baby face and although he's handsome and doesn't look that old he still looks very lived in compared to her so it looks gross... it just does, I know Dakota is a grown woman but she still looks young... :/
In the books, Sara is 31/32 and john is 38ish. Also, even if they really were the ages they are, that age difference was common back then.

Luke George he is okay but Not great actor he has the look but not the Talent his confession his love is lacking I have seen better
His confession is supposed to be stilted and restrained. This is a time period in which men and women didn't date for the most part. They courted under supervision. No one actually expressed themselves this openly. Both of them are awkward and inexperienced; they played this scene perfectly.
