A mosaic artist could use those poor broken flowers. If you go back and rescue them, I would love to craft with them and will pay you for them. It makes me so sad to see that kind of thing happen. 😞
I see those tragedies all the time and have to wonder why the stores keep damaging their donated merchandise in those little bags. It's makes me sad too! Another fun video Jocelyn! Thank you!
That meter was a light meter, pretty much a necessity for taking pictures before "automatic" cameras and cell phones. The meter measures the natural light or the light from a light source. From those measurements, the photographer sets the camera to get a good picture. These days we're spoiled because nearly all cameras have built-in light meters.
I recently picked up the almost identical music box (also Schmid) and had to do some minor adjustments to it. Took a bit of research to figure it out, but I would be happy to share with you how I fixed it.
Im a huge fan of basset hounds...loved the ornament !! The China flowers being broken was a disappointment...its sad since they didnt know what they had!!
Believe it or not, the pair of white hands is intended to hold your TV Guide. I had an identical one, and used to keep my rings on it. If I were you, I'd have bought it to photograph rings that you have for sale. I believe it would have been easy to tighten it up.
Hi, Jocelyn! Yarn snob! 😆 made me LOL! I found one of these music boxes, too- which acted like yours. I carefully wound it a tiny bit, and held the top up while it spun. It took a few tries, but finally it popped into place and stayed there. Maybe yours will too! Hugs for Andrew and the kids!
The little device at 15:38 is a light meter. Used to set shutter speed and lens aperture for photography. Still useful for those shooting with ancient cameras, but there aren't many of those left. Would be of interest to collectors because it has its leather case. Probably not worth much money unless it's a rarity.
In Australia our little op shops (thrift stores) have hardly any Christmas & it would be a miracle to find any Christmas stuff that isn't 'made in china' so I'm quite envious of your Christmad shelves in the USA.
I just sold a piece of Damariscotta pottery I found for $3 at a thrift store. The value of those have gone up because they are no longer made. It was a anniversary gift from a husband to his wife. She grew up in Damariscotta, ME and loves the pottery.
Jocelyn - Always enjoy your videos. The little pottery piece is an oil lamp missing the clay ball and wick. Still nice on its own though. Christmas has exploded in all of the thrifts up here too. I feel bad for your viewers who say their shops have nothing for Christmas! 💕🙂🇨🇦
Its nice to see a person with a passion for stuff. If you run across old radios I could be the guy that might pay for it and Im in your area. I often buy glass but, never keep it.
Yes, I agree with my fellow Aussies, our Op Shops here are certainly slim pickings. I did love those two little tables, well the design was great. I noticed you didn't look at the purses or lamps. I guess there was nothing much to look at but at least you filled your cart even though it was an overwhelming experience. Love your videos Jocelyn.
I used to goto Goodwill to get scrubs ( I go through them like crazy) and dansko shoes. Used to get scrubs for $2.99 a piece and shoes $6.99. Scrubs are now $6.99-9.99 and $26.99 for the shoes. I know I see a lot of resellers thrifting the shoes to flip but scrubs?
Heron paperweight, I believe, is vintage wedgewood. Does list for around $20, don't know what it sells for though. 🤷🏻♀️ Your content always makes me feel better after watching. Thank you!
One of those table cloths were from Ecuador. I bought one there. you should have bought it. They sell in the US for >$100. It was the one left hanging..next to the embroidered one.
I’m inclined to think if one is from Ecuador they all are. They look like other pieces I’ve seen from South America. I’m thinking about buying one as they are unique.
I went to a thrift store to buy my niece an inexpensive glass vase today. They wanted 7.99 for a clear glass mold vase about 10 inches tall. What has happened to our country?
It’s not necessarily our country that it to blame for the high prices in thrift stores. It’s the thrift stores raising the prices because they know that resellers are making a lot of money from their items.
@@kathleenmcbride4838 That's exactly what they are doing, but they don't really understand how the business works. The people who buy from resellers are not the same people who walk into thrift stores and buy. Thrift stores have gotten greedy and want to cut out the resellers not understanding that they have different customers and also not understanding that there is plenty for everybody! The worst thing in the world is a thrift store worker with Google lens. They see something LISTED on ebay or chairish (!) and don't realize that it didn't necessarily SELL for that price. Ebay has 187 million users worldwide. There is no Goodwill or thrift store that has 187 million customers. So stop 👏 trying 👏 to 👏 get 👏 ebay👏 prices!
The 2nd one seemed Ukranian. However, Hungarians also embroider similar flowers. Great find Dagny. Enjoyed watching a few older videos today too. Thanks J.
@@CJEngland1 I just didn't want to come off cocky. Ukranian embroidery is amazing. But subject choice Hungarians are showy. Flowers colour etc. Yessss I agree with you too.

In the little pot with blue dots about half way through the video I thought they were little fish going up around the pot with a blue eyes. What do you think? Am I imagining?
It's a shame that covered dish with the flower had a chip. It was so pretty. "Soul-less Eyes" Santa could be used as a Halloween decoration ... he looked downright scary! LOVED that little cookie jar without the lid ... so cute!! Great textiles you guys found also! Such a shame about the bone china flowers being bagged like that. They looked absolutely beautiful, but as someone who worked at Goodwill for a VERY brief period of time, most of the employees could care less about the items that are donated. It's part of the reason I resigned. Common sense was in very short supply, at least at the store where I worked.

Thank you for still sharing Goodwill thrifting with us!
Wonder if someone could make a small wreath or somehow use the bag of broken flowers for crafting.

Bag of Carnage! 🤦♀️ typical Goodwill!

That Santa at 2:30 may have been a salt dough. Figure. They were very popular in the 80s
Remind us again of the makeup you use. You look flawless!
Your hair looks great, especially at the end in the car, the light and composition very dramatic, elegant.
That cookie jar would have been perfect for kitchen utensils
Those hands were heading towards praying... 1/2 point!!!!
Thanks Jocelyn!
Yes , Christmas is overwhelming, especially at the thrift stores.
I'm just saying, " All those missing sugar bowl, and teapot lids are at Gus' hoarders house."
Good one. Lol
That’s a vintage Fieldcrest bedspread & those go for $60.00 & up.
Yes definitely a vintage cover!
Old Marshall Fields
5:02 Harkerware! I have a platter with that design I recognized it immediately!
Good to see you and Danny back together.
Im a huge fan of basset hounds...loved the ornament !! The China flowers being broken was a disappointment...its sad since they didnt know what they had!!
Sort of off topic, but I have to say that Jocelyn is one of those women who looks fantastic as a brunette, blonde or a redhead. :)
I wish you would've gotten the yellow California potter piece. I have it and my handle is broken. It is part of a lazy Susan vegatable tray.
Yay fir Dagny there too.
I sold royal Norfolk before and yes I got it from dollar tree 😊😊😊😊
I loved the trinket box too! Have a great week!!!!
Love the table legs also!!
I really loved the Temptation little plates with black…I loved the way they were shaped!

All the angel wings flew off with the lids!
And the dish ran away with the spoon. Go figure
I would have grabbed those tables also! Great mid century lines. 🥰🥰

Those tables will be great for your booth. Nice that they stack.
I wish my goodwill was overwhelming because it has no products when ever I go.
My entire goodwill combined would probably fill possible 1 shelf in that store 😭😭😭
Hi from Kentucky luv ur videos
Hi,Alway look at the bottom look for metal not plastic on those pepper grinders thats quality ones love what you do so much learned lots
FYI: alcohol, perfume included, will permanently damage Lucite beyond all repair.
I want my goodwill to look like this one.

So much Christmas, I love it

Love the shoes. I have been finding a lot of shoes lately. I can't pass them up. My shoe collection was started by my great grandmother.
Your Goodwills are amazing!
Does it still amaze you that within 1 hour of posting, you have thousands of views?
Love that tree trinket box.
I have that box. It’s even prettier in person.
That was a very fun video and I think you're dark hair is just marvelous. You look a little mysterious.
Hurray for the yarn snob. She’s right I’m a fan
Those embroidered tablecloths!!! 😍 They look very very similar to some that I purchased at the Black Sea in Romania years ago.
The purple guy was probably a shepherd, that was a shepherds hook or staff.

Better to have too much than too little. My Goodwill always has too little.
Fun stuff. Thanks
I love going shopping with you.
Usually when gaming equipment is donated its because one or more buttons quit working.
I almost bought those same leaf candlesticks to flip in my home town!
Liked the shoes, Lucite tray,Christmas tree trinket box I have a gold one,Krane paperweight.
I think that is a table top marshmallow roaster. Cool.

So, did you lose a point when you found the non praying hands?
Another fun one!
FYI - Santa (or Father Christmas over here) was dressed in green or sometimes tan in his first pictures
So wish it was overwhelming in our goodwills. We hardly have any hard goods maybe two or three shelves and I don't live in a small town.
I'm with Dagny, I can't stand the feel of cheap yarn. I'm a tactile person, so how something feels makes a big difference to me.
You got some good finds today
Heron paperweight, I believe, is vintage wedgewood. Does list for around $20, don't know what it sells for though. 🤷🏻♀️ Your content always makes me feel better after watching. Thank you!
Hands are remote control holders .I had them in the late 80's
Jocelyn, you still found some goodies~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would love that light meter if you go back and its still there
Father Christmas
The hands are remote control holders they would have been at Spencer gifts.
You are awesome Jocelyn! 😘
It’s prounced Norfuck. No, it really is!
Mid century tables are stackable, I have a set of four
I have a tablecloth similar . I bought it in Romania.
The hands are remote control holders lol I use mine to hold my rings
Should’ve picked up the fieldcrest coverlet. Great resell value
Dagney almost right...lol. Its a light meter for cameras
I wish you showed us your booth.

Dagny purchased the table cloths. You can find them on her eBay shop.
CCL didn’t you know that common sense is not common at all. It should be called rare sense 😂

@KariDent- I so agree! It may be listed for whatever price, but that doesn’t mean it sells for that price! It makes me crazy as well.
Capitalism?
Item is a light meter for a photographer
Thanks to you I will soon be pricing at one of our local nonprofit thrift stores!😊
Go back and get that light meter!
Christmas section is fantastic.we would like to see even if u don't like.just saying.
The 2nd one seemed Ukranian. However, Hungarians also embroider similar flowers. Great find Dagny. Enjoyed watching a few older videos today too. Thanks J.
I bought almost an identical tablecloth when I was in Budapest. So I would say Hungarian.

Ohhh and Transylvanian embroidery mimics Ukraine. More geometeric patterns.
That could be a country song The Angel who lost one wing
I have the same hands....yes jewelery display. Lol

There is a Damariscotta, Maine. Is that pink vase with the red clay bottom from there?
Photographer's light meter.
I just got a Yankee candle holder for £1 last week. It is already listed! 😁
Another UA-camr used those hands in her Halloween decor. 🎃
Tablecloth Heaven! Gorgeous!💗👍🇨🇱
Fieldcrest brand was made for Marshall Field's, Chicago, Il. The coverlet
Enjoyed
Very nice Thankyou!!!!
Wow! Where is this Goodwill?
Hello Jocelyn
