Coming off of an injury-riddled sophomore year that kept him out for more than half the season, Tafon Mainsah bounced back in a big way in his junior campaign. He led the team in interceptions, PBUs, and Passes Defended, and was part of a Spiders secondary that ranked 3rd in passing yards allowed and 12th in defensive passing efficiency in the entire FCS during the regular season. One of the more underrated players out there, throughout the whole season (14 games) Tafon allowed 32 catches (2.5 per game) on 69 targets (4.9 per game) for 428 yards (30.6 per game) and 5 TDs.
