The survival of this band for forty years is a testament to Nick. He is a founding member (with John Taylor), has always been the driving force and ultimately, I think, why the various Taylors have felt okay leaving and coming back.
AGREED 100% Nick Truly Loves the Duran Duran Creation! I mean he and John were doing Fantasy Tour Planning when they we're 11 & 12 yrs Old! But, I like the fact Nick Doesn't Care about Getting the Glory and Attention for himself, he's a True Teamate that cares about the Long Term Success and QUALITY OF THE SONGS AND MUSIC THATS CREATED AND WILL BE FAVORITES FOR FANS 25 YEARS LATER!! THEIR ALL Gentlemen!!! Except Andy Taylor??? Eternal EGO Trip that will never go Anywhere in Music but he's a good Family Man and Father I believe which is COOL!! Good on ya John & Nick for having that Dream 50 yrs Ago!!😀✌️✌️🙏
No. The band was started by John not Nick. Nick came into the band a year after John started it with other members. John is instrumental in the band succeeding. Yes he left for his substance abuse problems for a few years he's been there a long time. That being said, everyone in this band now has made it successful!
John along with Nick started the band. John coined the name of he band. He was 18, Nick two years younger. They met in school. They were in it together the whole time, two young men with a dream. They talk about being so into music, working for one free record at a time at the record store in Birmingham, and sharing their vision....
Love John and Nick could listen to them talk all day , best of friends and very funny. John to nick :validation did you use that word 14:29. Nick to John no you can use it today 14:30 John OK thanks 14:31
I love to hear Nick speak. He's VERY engaging, well spoken and so articulate. I could listen to him for hours. I can really see now that Nick is literally the heart of this band. DD Forever!
They look soooo gooood. Nice to see Si and RT doing an intv for a change..usually its Si with JT. I wudve asked..."what did u want to change in way u work?"

Nick could never take all the credit, because it was always John and Nick together a "shared vision" as it were....
They are so charming, classy and debonair. Regardless if you’re a major fan or not- you can’t deny their talent or impeccable ways.
Agreed!
If only I could find a hubby like that, LOL..
JT, this means YOU!!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@resa.walters Get in line lol
Roger was always a bit quieter but Simon he's so intellectual and you can hear it in his' speech as well as lyrics.
Back in the 80's guys were listening to your music, it's just that they didn't want anyone to know that. I love Save A Prayer, my fav. Rock On!!

Yessss 💝💝💝💝👏👏👏👏
Nick has such a nice voice.
Back then it was even better. Really love his voice and the way he talks ❤️
I love to hear Nick speak. He's VERY engaging, well spoken and so articulate. I could listen to him for hours. I can really see now that Nick is literally the heart of this band. DD Forever!
True.
A very nice deep drawl...
All four of them look really good!! They are still sooo gorgeous!!! I adore them!!!!!!
Nick Rhodes is such a hottie. He's still got it. Simon Lebon is my favorite still.
....well I love My own way Simon!!! one of my favs :)
Simon lebon is my favourite and next is Nick Rhodes.
Not hating- but Roger and JT are awesome too.
@@patriciaestok9329 John is like a fine wine! He looks so beautiful still!
Qué guapo está John aquí... Me encanta!!!
i love them all!!!
Much love Duran Duran!!
I'm surprised to hear that about "My Own Way." That's one of my favorites.
41 years of success and a single Called Invincible
They actually played Madison Square Garden in 1987 - I was there!
Sweet! I saw them in 1984 Seattle, and still the best concert I’ve ever been to. ❤️👍
💜💜 Duran Duran
Awh it cut before John was finished
They look soooo gooood. Nice to see Si and RT doing an intv for a change..usually its Si with JT. I wudve asked..."what did u want to change in way u work?"
Roger sounds like a baritone Nick
Yea
They all have sexy voices. ❤️
I can see Nick having to reel John and Simon in lol❤️❤️❤️
Wow what a great interview! They have all aged very well!
This is true, they all have.
And what's more, their minds are alive, and amazing as ever as proven by the new album....
Agreed! ❤️👍
Simon needs to let his hair grows again like this *-*
Oh yeah, I agree!!!! He looks way more sexier like that 😂.
True.
The sideburns are nice on him it's nice long in the back, spikey on top is very good.
😊👍👍🇹🇹
23:40 a lot of Straight guys in the 80's weren't able to Out themselves as Duran Duran fans tbh, without getting some backlash
In Latin America the guys were the ones listening to Duran Duran and I was one of them.
@@theeyeinthesky3854 Exactly, it's the Anglo's and Northern Europeans who are so rigid and binary.
Para mi el favorito es Roger de todos los integrantes
Is the rest of this interview somewhere? Thx!!
22:25 Nick's face 🤣 🤣 🤣 💝💝💝
Oh no, John got cut off mid sentence at the end! Is there a part 3? 😥
John is still such a hottie!
😱🤔💖
This interviewer asked some of the dumbest questions you could ask. Simon looked annoyed during most of the interview
John looked bored by the questions too.
I want to marry a British man ❤️
Interviewer is so vanilla....packaged question after packaged question....
Most DD interviews are like this, especially the British ones.
Nothing wrong with vanilla..it tastes good! 😊
Lol😂
tirando a sujeira da festa !!!!
todos eles são lindos, mas para mim Nick é o lindo de todos

I saw that first concert in japan and it felt revolutionary, like a dream
This is what i was wondering about... was their first ever concert (as the classic five band members) in Japan?
Woww ♥dd
I would ask what still surprises you still.
Too bad Andy wasn't willing to be with DD. He's missing out on the success!!!
He’s the backbone
@@animaljustice7774 John Taylor is the backbone of Duran Duran. Always has been!!!
@@JOHNNYSGIRL1960 nope I have to go with Andy, he’s the lead guitarist.
Stay positive
