My mom being from England, which is where i was born, but raised in the states, always had an English Garden just filled with amazing plants and beautiful flowers! I couldn't say which is my favorite flower, for i loved them all! Today, her yard is still a beautiful English Garden, and seeing all your beautiful brooches reminds me of her garden❤ thank you!

I really love the silver orchid- very unique and the little Victorian enamel fan. I don’t wear pins/brooches because I rarely get the chance to dress up. I have a crazy quilted Christmas stocking I made for myself that I covered in smaller sparkly pins ie a bee, dragon, flying swallow etc. That way I can enjoy them. I also have some vintage Celtic type pieces.

So pretty! I have a small collection of enamal artist pins (like extremely modern, no antique or vintage minus one from my aunt. It is actually quite a pricey hobby, lol, even for modern ones from indie artist. My favs from your collection are: 11:40 the blue flower piece, 13:52 prong set blue flowers, 16:02 the Joan Rivers butterfly, 17:52 the bumble bee (the deep yellow/orange gems are so pretty), 19:28 green cicada (I grew up in south Texas and the sound of cicadas takes me back to childhood

I've found that when you educate the people about the themes, history and the labor intensive techniques it can make all the difference ❣️ I left you a message an hour ago about this and it's gone but my experience with artist designed jewelry is extensive and I've also guided up and coming jewelry designers at the earliest stages of their work ( the mishmash point), where each piece has a different vibe. You, Anna, Jason and others have taught me anything I know about vintage jewelry and I'm so grateful! ❣️ FYI I used to design jewelry as well and I achieved the most success when I had a rep who travelled across Canada and sold to boutiques, Galleries and department stores! From a marketing pov , I think it's unusual but for some reason, my jewelry crossed more narkets than I would have ever thought. CUFF and the GODDESS PIECES especially and also the flat silver/slate/blue mauve cuff with the sterling silver toggle clasp really stood out to me but it's difficult to choose from your work because each and every piece is so special and your color sense, technique and concepts are really impressive 🎀 All the best to you and I love the name Lady Sylvia. They could have looked at the use of their components and found some amazing jewelry designers and offered a juried show case instead... That's still a little elitest but they could use the input. Sylvia, I live in San Diego, I have lived here all of my life. Have you ever considered teaching others how to make some of your beaded pieces? I’ve been beading since I was 13 years old. Nothing as intricate as what you do, but I would love to learn how to make more beautiful pieces. I have boxes and boxes of beads that I have collected over the years. We recently lost the Scottish Rights Center, my favorite place to go to buy beads and gem stones. It was the largest gem show in San Diego. They still have a gem show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds a couple of times a year. It’s so much smaller than the Scottish Rights Center, though. But still a good place to buy beads and gems. I’m semi retired, so I find myself with more time on my hands, I would love to join a group of like minded women that love making jewelry and sharing their knowledge. I need to give a spark to my creative self for the next part of my journey. I hope that you’ll think about it.
