CBC Band live - Rock Concert at Saigon Zoo 1971.

On 29 May 1971, Vietnam held its first international rock concert during the height of the Vietnam War.
Headlining the show was the CBC Band, the most popular rock/pop band of young Vietnamese and foreign expats.

I spent a bunch of time with them in 1973. They mostly performed US hard rock which figures given their clientele in the bars at the time. The lead singer, with the great voice, didn't speak a word of English. She memorized from tapes. Both guitarists spoke good English.
Towards the end of the South Vietnam collapse, the Australians got them out. Later they moved to Houston.
If you like rock from that time frame, they covered as good as anyone.

I was there and what time that was!.I was 11 years old living in Saigon as an American while my mom worked on the base and father worked for Air America and later Air Vietnam.There was another band called "Le Crazy Dog".They played on Tu Do Street.
