I just loove watching Paul play, and especially in this video with Bruce, because he just looks like he is having a blast, and that's what inspires me the most.
This video provides a dream for the future. Paul with PAF Pros and Laneys again, alongside Mr Bruce Bouillet. The demand for a Racer X revival is surely growing all the time! Five middle-aged men playing 'Loud and Clear' might seem daft, but I seriously can't think of many things I'd rather see. (I know artists hate reliving their past, but, c'mon).
yo guys, not for nothing but bruce bouillet is the most underrated guitarists out there.can play with anyone out there, and outshine them.what do u guys think?
Oh, I forgot - Herman Li was an afterthought. I owned a 1960 Les Paul, a 1959 Strat, and some other classic guitars, and tried Schecters and ESP, and my Japanese Ibanez 550 is still the best guitar I have ever played. I'm in pretty good company with Paul Gilbert, the lord god buffo of the guitar.
I care about speed that sounds good but it's kinda sad that people dont care about shredding anymore. I cry inside everytime i think about it. But yes Paul is the man.
@DillonBerkley /watch?v=UBEVpR1UsvId Paul can sweep as good as anybody, he just doesn't like it. He thinks that sweeps sound silly and that they got really over used in the 80s. But watch that and tell me he can't. He also has a couple sweeps in The Gargoyle.
@josiahgust obviously Paul Gilbert can sweep pick because hes Paul Gilbert....and what i was meaning by saying that is that his sweep picking is not so good compared to his alternate picking and string skipping. But im not going to get into one of these i know everything about paul gilbert contests cause i dont but i mean i heard him say he doesnt like sweep picking and he doesnt think hes very good at it so my opinion or statement was based off of what he said.
ok what about bruces solo? Paul himself admited he cant sweep pick for crap. It's literally impossible to compare which one is faster or better. Just from watching bruce's guitar lessons i'd say he's faster not paul, but i think paul's picking on the contarary is untouchable.
@BelieveIntheBucket You gave your case away when you named yourself after that Paul Gilbert wannabe, but never will be, Buckethead, the noodler. I always wondered if that was original or extra crispy.
bruce is in my opinon the most underated shredder of all time. thumbs up if you agree
Here's a great song from Paul Gilbert that we performed on the G3 2007 tour!
Bruce Bouillet
Dude you rule!! You were in Racer FUCKING X!!!
Very good! Two greats guitars! Congratulations!
Bruce, you are freaking an amusing guitarist! Paul’s not to bad either, lol. Love any opportunity to watch you both in complete amazement 😮
ARGHHH man I love the energy Bruce brings to this performance!!

Paul and Bouillet shoul team up again, man
This is some serious stuff
Not only does Bruce tear it up technically, but his tone is god-tier throughout this tour!

Wow, Bruce still looks incredibly young!
This arrangement of the song is made of EPIC WIN.
Harmonizing was freakin awesome!
I've always known Paul was a badass guitarist but I had no idea Bryan Adams was that damn good too!
love it when bruce goes crazy with the rhythm during the solo. Awesome performance overall
what a crew, what a song!

1:23=amazing
I love that emy and paul are in the same band :P
Also the headphones give him an eq feed of guitar bass and drums so he can hear evrything he wants without any more damage to his ears
better than the studio version

yup
@nulife022 your case was rested the moment you included herman li in that list

@DillonBerkley Ok. Just thought "can't sweep for crap" was a bit strong. That would describe me, not the Paul.
You mean its a solo performance but the real solo kicks in at 1:51
dude it's a solo from 0.00 to 4.19...
Paul is the man. Who cares about speed anymore?
ibanez pf300 1978
that bass is a rickenbacker right?
CASTLE OF RACER X
@josiahgust you and me both lol.
Just waiting for one of these guys accidentally step on their cord and unplug it,lol
Paul can sweep... He just chose not to because he thought it became too over used
Can someone tell me who is on bass? He must have seriously strong fingers lol
Its mike Szuter
@@monocyte2210 Thank you! \m/

Paul Gilbert rock'n out with his buddies and his hot asian wife.

Ibanez - Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Herman Li - I rest my case.
@BelieveIntheBucket You gave your case away when you named yourself after that Paul Gilbert wannabe, but never will be, Buckethead, the noodler. I always wondered if that was original or extra crispy.
wtf is up with the solo? at the beginning you was filming the wrong dude ahaha
it's all about the PG
bruce is god too, but he only harmonizes at times cuz no one can match paul's speed ;)
@josiahgust you and me both lol.
